    i have to animate text around a circle. The text will also scale up/down. Whats the best approach to accomplish this?   • How can I move an object left and right with silverlight?

    I currently have two buttons that say left and right, and I want them to move a square object left and right respectively. What its currently doing when i press left is moving the square to the left, and if I press left again, it resets from the center and goes left. I want it so that when I press left, from where ever it is currently to go left and right. I know the principle is something like get current objects position and add the canvas coordinates respectively but how do I do this?

I can increase the duration to make it last longer, however this looks strange. What I would like to happen is have the element be displayed for five seconds, then fade quickly, and finally be removed. How can you animate this using jQuery?

  • Dynamically disable custom (VBA) Excel context menu buttons?

    The Scenario Hi guys, I am about to add a few custom controls to the cell context menu in my Excel workbook using the instructions found on this MSDN page. The only problem I am having is that I need the items to only be enabled for a specific column/range of cells. I've looked around, and I've been unable to find any steps for this--there are some for VSTO development (written in C#), but that is not what I need. I plan to write this using the VBA IDE built into Office, and perhaps a bit of XML using the Custom UI Editor. The Question So basically, I'm looking for a way to run a function at the time the context menu is called (i.e., upon right-click) that validates the selection to make sure it is in the appropriate column. If it isn't, I would like my custom buttons to be greyed out. P.S. Please don't think I am asking you to write my code. Creating these buttons should be very simple, as I have created many before (albeit they were all Ribbon items), and I hope it is okay to ask for some quick assistance on this very specific issue. User clicks a button that calls the method "popupImage" An image appears on the screen in a designated spot, it doesn't need to fade in The image fades out by itself after being on the screen for 2 seconds. This is not happening. What I am trying to achieve, in case there is a better way, is to leave the drop down menu visible for a second or two after moving your mouse and I would also like to prevent the events from happening again to prevent artifacts and "funnies" if you were to move the mouse over and out from the div very quickly

  • RAD - Websphere Application server won't start

    I am having issues with RAD7. My server will not start for me today. I am working from home and connected to the VPN. Everything works except my server in RAD. It worked fine yesterday in work and had previously worked when I was at home but that was a few weeks ago. Are there any settings that I should look out for? I have disabled my proxy settings in RAD and turned off everything in my firewall. I can ping all the DBs that the server is connecting to. I have even removed all the projects from the server and it will still not start. It keeps trying and then times out after 300s. Any suggestions?

    Here there, I have a custom UIView. This view acts as a activity indicator but as label above the UIActivityIndicatorView. In the init, I add a CAGradientLayer. I allocate and initialize it and insert it at index 0 as a sublayer of the UIView layer property. In my dealloc method was called, I received a message in the console: - [CALayer release]: message sent to deallocated instance.   • How can I disable the F4 key from showing the items in a ComboBox

    You might not know this, but pressing the F4 key on a ComboBox makes it's drop-down item list appear. I believe this is the default behavior on Windows. Does anyone know how to override this behavior in WPF (C#)? I know that overriding default behavior is generally seen as bad practice, however in this case I have a rugged-device that runs XP Embedded. It has a handful of prominent Function keys (F1-F6) that need to trigger different events. This works fine, however when focused over a ComboBox the events aren't triggered as the ComboBox drops down. I have tried catching the KeyDown event both on the form and on the ComboBox and listening for the F4 key, however it doesn't get this far as the key press must be handled at a lower level. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Editable CATextLayer?

    I have several CATextLayers. When I doubleclick one of them, I want to be able to edit it's string. Think of text as it's handled in Keynote or many other apps. Any ideas? I thought of putting an editable textfield right in front of the layer and then dismiss it on enter, but I didn't get far. :-( I target Mac OS X 10.5 with Objective-C 2.0 and Garbage Collection. I have deployed my application on internet and now when I am going to the source of the page, I am able to see all my asp.net controls defined [ie. my aspx page], is their any way I can hide it so that user can't see my source of the page [except right click of mouse] or at least display in pure HTML form so that people can not identify that I am using asp.net.
