• Mail.app Bug -- Keeps Showing Messages

  Hi, I'm running Mail.app on my Mac (Snow Leopard). Two GMail accounts are linked to it using POP. There is an annoying bug which causes certain messages from one of the account to show up in my Inbox. They are always messages I sent to a certain account, and are 6-7 messages from one thread. If I delete them, they just show up again if I restart Mail.app or switch to a different mailbox and back, although the number of messages goes down, until it reaches one, and goes back to six-seven. The only solution I have found is to delete the offending thread from within GMail, except that then another thread takes its place and starts annoying me. Any solution?

  I just noticed when launching my terminal a message "You have new mail." I would like to know if someone is trying something malicious with my email and name. The mails are all returns from the same server.   I am looking (and so far not finding any) for a solution to archive e-mail items from my Outlook into SQL Server. My PST is beginning to get really really big, and I'd love to extract my older e-mail into SQL Server in a way so I can still easily find mails if needed. I would prefer SQL Server as the storage medium since I'm familiar with it, and it's rock solid - I don't want to have a collection of PST files or CHM files or anything like that. Does anyone know of such a solution? I'm a power/home user - I can't afford $5'000 enterprise licenses - I need a sub-$100 solution for private use.

• Exchange Public Folders in Snow Leopard Mail.app

  I am using Mail.app (running snow leopard) to connect to my email account on my school's Exchange 2007 server. I get my Inbox just fine, and iCal connects to my Outlook Calendar just fine, but I cannot seem to get any of the Exchange Public Folders that I can automatically see when I am using Outlook on a Windows box. The Account Type is shown as "Exchange 2007" I did not have any luck Googling this problem, in fact most of the results I saw were dealing with the opposite problem: Remove MS Exchange Public Folders I am aware that my question is a duplicate of this: http://superuser.com/questions/103115/apple-mail-app-all-exchange-folders-not-visible but since that question did not get any responses, I am reposting.

  I am attempting to complete google's mail MX setup. I would link, but new users can't have two links, and I think the following img is more important. It is my understanding that I am supposed to: Leave Name (Host) Blank Set Data to ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. (and repeat for each of the server addresses provided by google) Set the MX level to what Google has in "Priority" column Set TTL as high as possible Did I get it right? • Mail Merge in Microsoft Word with images from Sharepoint

  Is there any way of doing a Mail Merge in Microsoft Word 2007 taking data, including images from a Sharepoint site? It's a bit crude, but I've managed to merge text by taking the data off the sharepoint site as an Excel sheet and then merging that. My problem is what to do with the images. I can set references to the images up in the Sharepoint site, however all I can find is a way of Mail Merging when images are in the same folder as the document you are trying to Merge and I can't find a sensible automated way to pulls these images together into one single folder.

• Labels mail merge repeats on subsequent pages?

  I'm trying to do a mail merge to print to labels. The first field in the document does not contain a { NEXT } field code, and because of this the records repeat between label pages for example: Notice how the records shift to the left as the next page is displayed? But how they start over again in an off by one manner? Now I've tried to fix this by using the first record displayed on a page to see if the page number is 1. If it not on page 1 of the mail merge then it should just move to the next record; otherwise it should just display the first record: This doesn't work however, because when I do the preview and display the {page} field code, it reports that I am always on page 1 and thus the same behavior continues instead of just moving to the next record on the next page.

  Hi all, I need to put into my crontab small command, which is checking, if lighttpd web server is running, for some reason it hangups sometimes. So I got there: * * * * * root /bin/pgrep lighttpd || /usr/local/etc/rc.d/lighttpd restart >/dev/null 2>&1 problem is, this send me mail every minute, in the mail is number of PID of lighttpd, which is running. For other crontab job, redirection work, so I assume, when is there "||", it makes problem. maybe there should be better to rewrite crontab job, so it uses exit status of pgrep, so I can avoid "||". I am using FreeBSD. Thanks for any help, for now I disabled this job

  Sometimes I have non-english emails (arabic for example). When I try to open them with windows live mail, it doesn't show them correctly.. for example such this: &1588;&1603;&1585;&1575; &1610;&1575;&1605;&1575;&1606; (I changed it a bit to show here as I want) I had a look at options, there was encoding on arabic(windows) but I didn't find anything else. When I open this mail on yahoo however, there is no problem. What can I do?

  i have used a mail function. after inserting every record simultaneously from multiple PC. • Mail reaches only after closing connection

  I have setup a postfix mail server with saslauthd. I telnet from a windows machine to send a mail. All works fine, I even get the msg 250 Mail queued for delivery. On the mailserver I see connect msgs on /var/log/mail.log for connection but not for the mail queuing or delivery. Only after I close the telnet connection I get all the valid msgs in mail.log. The mail also doesnt arrive in my Maildir/new directory until I close the connection. I am very new to Ubuntu, any pointers will be much appreciated. Many thanks.

  What would be suitable database for following? I am especially interested about your experiences with non-relational NoSQL systems. Are they any good for this kind of usage, which system you have used and would recommend, or should I go with normal relational database (DB2)? I need to gather audit trail/logging type information from bunch of sources to a centralized server where I could generate reports efficiently and examine what is happening in the system. Typically a audit/logging event would consist always of some mandatory fields, for example globally unique id (some how generated by program that generated this event) timestamp event type (i.e. user logged in, error happened etc) some information about source (server1, server2) Additionally the event could contain 0-N key-value pairs, where value might be up to few kilobytes of text. It must run on Linux server It should work with high amount of data (100GB for example) it should support some kind of efficient full text search It should allow concurrent reading and writing It should be flexible to add new event types and add/remove key-value pairs to new events. Flexible=no changes should be required to database schema, application generating the events can just add new event types/new fields as needed. it should be efficient to make queries against database. For reporting and exploring what happened. For example: How many events with type=X occurred in some time period. Get all events where field A has value Y. Get all events with type X and field A has value 1 and field B is not 2 and event occurred in last 24h

• Attachment empty/blank when sending mail using phpmailer

  Hello! I am using phpmailer class to send email and i am attaching a file to the mail. The email is sent successfully but the attachment which is an sql file is empty which should not be the case. I have tried with an image file, but it seems that every file that i attach is empty.   hi guys, i know implementing database is a huge topic, but i want to have a basic understanding of how database systems works (e.g. memory management, binary tree, transaction, sql parsing, multi-threading, partitions, etc) by investigating the source code of the database, since there are a few already proven very robust open source databases like mysql, sqlite and so on. however, the code are very complicated and i have no clue where to start. also i find that the old school database textbooks are only explaining the theory, not the implementation details.   Hi, I need some help with vocabulary, I don't use Oracle that often but I am familiar with MySQL and SQL Server. I have an application I need to upgrade and migrate, and part of the procedure to do that involves exporting to an XML file, allowing the installer to create new database tables, then import to the new database tables from the XML file. In Oracle, my database connection specifies a username, password, and an SID. Let's call the SID, "COMPANY-APPS". This SID contains tables belonging to several applications, each of which connects with a different user ( "WIKIUSER", "BUGUSER", "TIMETRACKERUSER" ). My question is: Can I re-use the same user to create the new tables ( with the same names ). In MySQL or SQL Server, I would create a new database and grant my user privileges to create tables in it. OR, do I need to create a new database user for my upgraded tables?

I am using SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and Visual Studio 2008 SP1 installed. I learnt that BIDS 2005 is used to create packages which comes by default with SQL Server 2005. Can someone please give me a example as i am new to this.

  I'm doing some queries in Python on a large database to get some stats out of the database. I want these stats to be in-memory so other programs can use them without going to a database. I was thinking of how to structure them, and after trying to set up some complicated nested dictionaries, I realized that a good representation would be an SQL table. I don't want to store the data back into the persistent database, though. Are there any in-memory implementations of an SQL database that supports querying the data with SQL syntax?
