  • Query only the first detail record for each master record

    - by Neal S.
If I have the following master-detail relationship: owner_tbl auto_tbl --------- -------- owner --- owner auto year And I have the following table data: owner_tbl auto_tbl --------- -------- john john, corvette, 1968 john, prius, 2008 james james, f-150, 2004 james, cadillac, 2002 james, accord, 2009 jeff jeff, tesla, 2010 jeff, hyundai, 1996 Now, I want to perform a query that returns the following result: john, corvette, 1968 jeff, hyundai, 1996 james, cadillac, 2002 The query should join the two tables, and sort all the records on the "year" field, but only return the first detail record for each master record. I know how to join the tables and sort on the "year" field, but it's not clear how (or if) I might be able to only retrieve the first joined record for each owner. Three related questions: Can I perform this kind of query using LINQ-to-SQL? Can I perform the query using T-SQL? Would it be best to just create a stored procedure for the query given its likely complexity?

  • Download HTML and Images with WGet without first few lines

    - by St. John Johnson
I'm attempting to use wget with the -p option to download specific documents and the images linked in the HTML. The problem is, the site that is hosting the HTML has some non-html information preceding the HTML. This is causing wget to not interpret the document as HTML and doesn't search for images. Is there a way to have wget strip the first X lines and/or force searching for images? Example URL: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/13239/000119312510070346/ds4.htm First Lines of Content: <DOCUMENT> <TYPE>S-4 <SEQUENCE>1 <FILENAME>ds4.htm <DESCRIPTION>FORM S-4 <TEXT> <HTML><HEAD> <TITLE>Form S-4</TITLE> Last Lines of Content: </BODY></HTML> </TEXT> </DOCUMENT>

  • Searching Week-wise/Month-wise record counts(number) and the StartDate+EndDate(datetime) of the Week

    - by Muzaffar Ali Rana
I have a question in connection to this question earlier posted by me:- http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2452984/daily-weekly-monthly-record-count-search-via-storedprocedure I want to have the Count of Calls on Weekly-basis and Monthly-basis, Daily-basis issue is resolved. ISSUE NUMBER @1:Weekly-basis Count of Calls and Start-Date and End-Date of Week I have searched the Start-Date and End-Date of Week including their individual Count of Calls as well in the below-mentioned query. But the problem is that I could not get the result in one single table, although I have used the Temporary Tables(#TempTable+#TempTable2). Kindly help me in this regards. NOTE:Table Creation commented as for executing more than once. ----- *** TABLE CREATION OF #TempTable & #TempTable2 *** ---------- --CREATE TABLE #TempTable( StartDate datetime,EndDate datetime,CallCount numeric(18,5)) --CREATE TABLE #TempTable2( StartDate datetime,EndDate datetime,CallCount numeric(18,5)) DECLARE @StartDate datetime,@EndDate datetime,@StartDateTemp1 datetime,@StartDateTemp2 datetime,@EndDateTemp datetime,@Period varchar(50); SET @StartDate='1/1/2010'; SET @EndDate='2/28/2010'; SET @StartDateTemp1=@StartDate; SET @StartDateTemp2=DATEADD(dd, 7, @StartDate ); SET @Period='Weekly'; IF (@Period = 'Weekly') BEGIN WHILE ((@StartDate <= @StartDateTemp1) AND (@StartDateTemp2 <= @EndDate)) BEGIN IF((@StartDateTemp1 < @StartDateTemp2 ) AND (@StartDateTemp1 != @StartDateTemp2) ) BEGIN SELECT convert(varchar, @StartDateTemp1, 106) AS 'Start Date', convert(varchar, @StartDateTemp2, 106) AS 'End Date', COUNT(*) AS 'Call Count' FROM TRN_Call WHERE (CallTime = @StartDateTemp1 AND CallTime <= @StartDateTemp2 ); END SET @StartDateTemp1 = DATEADD(dd, 7, @StartDateTemp1); SET @StartDateTemp2 = DATEADD(dd, 7, @StartDateTemp2); END END ISSUE NUMBER @2:Monthly-basis Count of Calls and Start-Date and End-Date of Week In this case, I have the same search, but will have to search the Call Counts plus the Start-Date and End-Date of the Month. Kindly help me in this regards as well.

  • PHP find first of occurrence of string

    - by mike
I have a string of data like below and I've been struggling trying to figure out how to split it up so that I can use it efficiently. "United States FirstName: Mike LastName: Wolf City: Chicago" I need to split up the string in to substrings and the list may not always be in the same order. For example it could vary like below: "United States City: Chicago FirstName: Mike LastName: Wolf" "United States FirstName: City: Chicago Mike LastName: Wolf" I need to find which parameter comes first after 'United States'. It could be 'City:', 'FirstName:' or 'LastName:'. And, I also need to know the start position of the first parameter. Thanks in advance!

Once the first input is ok, then the next error and so on.. Thanks

  • Flex AdvancedDataGrid with Grouping, how do I get objects to appear under first GroupingField if the

    - by shadenite
I am using an AdvancedDataGrid with two GroupingFields. The dataProvider has a list of objects with these two field values, but occasionally the second field value can be null. When it loads, the AdvancedDataGrid UI has a root folder (first GroupingField) and some additional subfolders (second GroupingField). This is all good. However, the objects with a null value for the second GroupingField, just get placed in a subfolder with no label. I want the objects with a null second GroupingField value to appear as leaf nodes beneath the root folder (first GroupingField) minus the blank subfolder. A good way to picture this would be a file explorer. Is there a good way to do this? Make the folder icon disappear maybe after expanding this node through actionscript? • WCF XmlSerializer assembly not speeding up first request

    - by Matt Dearing
I am generating proxy classes to a clients java webservice wsdls and xsd files with svcutil. The first call made to each service proxy class takes a very long time. I was hoping to speed this up by generating the XmlSerializers assembly myself (based on the article How to: Improve the Startup Time of WCF Client Applications using the XmlSerializer), but when I do the first call to each service still takes the same amount of time. Here are the steps I am following: //generate strong name key file sn -k Blah.snk //generate the proxy class file svcutil blah.wsdl blah2.wsdl blah3.wsdl ... base.xsd blah.xsd ... /UseSerializerForFaults /ser:XmlSerializer /n:*,SomeNamespace /out:Blah.cs //compile the class into an assembly signing it with the strong name key file csc /target:library /keyfile:Blah.snk /out:Blah.dll Blah.cs //generate the XmlSerializer code this will give us Blah.XmlSerializers.dll.cs svcutil /t:xmlSerializer Blah.dll //compile the xmlserializer code into its own dll using the same key to sign it and referencing the original dll csc /target:library /keyfile:Blah.snk /out:Blah.XmlSerializers.dll Blah.XmlSerializers.dll.cs /r:Blah.dll I then create a standard Console application that references both Blah.dll and Blah.XmlSerializers.dll. I will then try something like: //BlahProxy is one of the generated service proxy classes BlahProxy p = new BlahProxy(); //this call takes 30ish seconds p.SomeMethod(); BlahProxy p2 = new BlahProxy(); //this call takes < 1 second p2.SomeMethod(); //BlahProx2y is one of the generated service proxy classes BlahProxy2 p3 = new BlahProxy2(); //this call takes 30ish seconds p3.SomeMethod(); BlahProxy2 p4 = new BlahProxy2(); //this call takes < 1 second p4.SomeMethod(); I know that the problem is not server side because I don't see the request made in Fiddler until around 29 seconds. Subsequent calls to each service take < 1 second, so thats why I was hoping the main slow down was the .net runtime generating the xmlserializer code itself, compiling it and loading the assembly. I figured this would be the reason the first call to each service is slow and the rest are fast. Unfortunatley, me generating the code myself is not speeding anything up. Does anyone see what I am doing wrong?

  • ValidateCredentials() returns FALSE on First Call but TRUE on Subsequent Calls

    - by Nick Gotch
I'm using the following code to authenticate users on my web service: using (PrincipalContext context = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain, domain)) { return context.ValidateCredentials(userName, password); } The obstacle I'm running into is that the first call to ValidateCredentials() is returning false but subsequent calls return true. I placed a breakpoint at this line and in the Intermediate window I see the same results: first call returns false, second returns true, even though nothing was changed (by me) between calls. The 'domain' is String.Empty but I've also tried it with the actual domain name and get the same results. I'm not that versed in network administration so any help would be appreciated,

  • Finding the maximum number of child nodes in a tree

    - by Jiminizer
First, I should make it clear that this is required for an academic project. I am trying to find the maximum number of child nodes for any node in a tree, using Common Lisp. My current code is shown below - I'm not 100% on the logic of it, but I feel it should work, however it isn't giving me the required result. (defun breadth (list y) (setf l y) (mapcar #'(lambda (element) (when (listp element) (when (> (breadth element (length element)) l) (setf l (breadth element (length element))) ))) list) l) (defun max-breadth(list) (breadth list (length list)) ) As an example, running (max-breadth '(a ( (b (c d)) e) (f g (h i) j))) should return 4. Does anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong? I suspect it's related to the second conditional, but I'm not sure.

  • OpenCMS - Search field of custom bean

    - by Luigi 1982
Hi at all... I make some beans with information from VFS of OpenCMS. I want to make searchable the data of my beans. I follow this step but without success: 1) Extends my bean class with CmsSearch and ovverride init method. After I make some stuff for the constructor of my bean: /* Some stuff for CMSSearch */ /** Constant for the fields we will search */ static final String[] DOC_QRY_FIELDS = new String[] {"oggettoDocumento","dataPubblicazione", "societa"}; /** The names of our search index files */ static final String OFFLINE_INDEX = "all_bacheca"; static final String ONLINE_INDEX = "all_bacheca"; public DocumentBean(){ super(); m_parameters.setSort(CmsSearchParameters.SORT_DEFAULT); m_parameters.setFields(Arrays.asList(DocumentBean.DOC_QRY_FIELDS)); m_parameters.setIndex(ONLINE_INDEX); m_parameters.setMatchesPerPage(20); } public void init(CmsObject cms) { super.init(cms); // set search index to offline or online based on current //user project if (cms.getRequestContext().currentProject().isOnlineProject()) { m_parameters.setIndex(ONLINE_INDEX); } else { m_parameters.setIndex(OFFLINE_INDEX); } } // getters and setters.. 2) Configure a new DocumentField with the new field 3) Adding code to my jsp: <input type="hidden" name="field" value="oggettoDocumento"/> But nothing... How can I perform the custom bean search? I can't find any document.. If anyone know some info, basic.. is good for me.. Thanks!

  • Accordion - Expand/Collapse - but first panel is opened and screws it up

    - by lorenzium
Hey guys, I've got an accordion which has the first panel opened on default by throwing in: $("h4#open").trigger('click'); (which triggers the first panel to act as if the h4 link were clicked, and thus opened...) But this seems to screw up the only way I can think of expanding / collapsing all the panels. I have this code to expand / collapse: $("a.ex-col").click(function(){ $("div.accordion div").slideToggle("slow"); return false; }); When using this, all the panels toggle open and close except any panel that happens to be open (or closed) at the time. How can I keep the default div opened on load, while also expanding / collapsing with the rest of them? Thanks.

  • Detecting first time login of user into application (Google Appengine)

    - by Jake
My app requires users to login using their google account. I have this set in my App.yamp file: url: /user/.* script: user.py login: required Now when any user tries to access files under /user/secret.py he will need to authenticate via google, which will redirect the user back to /user/secret.py after successful authentication. Now the problem I am facing is when the user is redirected back to the app, I cannot be sure if this is the first time the user has logged in or is it a regular user to my site who has come back again from just the user object which google passes using users.get_current_user() . I thus need to maintain state in the datastore to check if the user already exists or not everytime. If he does not exist i need to create a new entry with other application specific settings. My question is: Is there some easier way to handle this? without having to query the datastore to figure if this is a first time user or a regular one?

  • Bulk Insert takes 4x as long on first operation of the day

    - by patrick
I do Bulk Inserts into a table with about 14 million rows at fiver minute increments during a 7 hour period during the day. These inserts take somewhere between 9-14 secs. However, the first insert always takes about 40 secs. Anyone know what SQL Server 2005 would be doing differently on the first insert into a table for that day? From what I've read I should probably use the SqlBulkCopy class instead of just using a bulk insert in a stored procedure. Is that that the general consensus?

  • git: how to squash the first two commits?

    - by kch
With git rebase --interactive <commit> you can squash any number of commits together into a single one. It's an OCD heaven. And that's all great unless you want to squash commits into the initial commit. That seems impossible to do. Any way to achieve it? Moderately related: In a related question, I managed to come up with a different approach to the need of squashing against the first commit, which is, well, to make it the second one. If you're interested: git: how to insert a commit as the first, shifting all the others?

  • Fast iterating over first n items of an iterable in python

    - by martinthenext
Hello! I'm looking for a pythonic way of iterating over first n items of a list, and it's quite important to do this as fast as possible. This is how I do it now: count = 0 for item in iterable: do_somethin(item) count += 1 if count >= n: break Doesn't seem neat to me. Another way of doing this is: for item in itertools.islice(iterable, n): do_something(item) This looks good, the question is it fast enough to use with some generator(s)? For example: pair_generator = lambda iterable: itertools.izip(*[iter(iterable)]*2) for item in itertools.islice(pair_generator(iterable), n): so_something(item) Will it run fast enough as compared to the first method? Is there some easier way to do it?

  • MS Dynamics CRM trapping .NET error before I can handle it

    - by clifgriffin
This is a fun one. I have written a custom search page that provides faster, more user friendly searches than the default Contacts view and also allows searching of Leads and Contacts simultaneously. It uses GridViews bound to SqlDataSources that query filtered views. I'm sure someone will complain that I'm not using the web services for this, but this is just the design decision we made. These GridViews live in UpdatePanels to enable very slick AJAX updates upon search. It's all working great. Nearly ready to be deployed, except for one thing: Some long running searches are triggering an uncatchable SQL timeout exception. [SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.] at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Run(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.ConsumeMetaData() at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.get_MetaData() at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.FinishExecuteReader(SqlDataReader ds, RunBehavior runBehavior, String resetOptionsString) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReaderTds(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, Boolean async) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method, DbAsyncResult result) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior, String method) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteDbDataReader(CommandBehavior behavior) at System.Data.Common.DbCommand.System.Data.IDbCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior) at System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.FillInternal(DataSet dataset, DataTable[] datatables, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, String srcTable, IDbCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) at System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet dataSet, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, String srcTable, IDbCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) at System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet dataSet, String srcTable) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.SqlDataSourceView.ExecuteSelect(DataSourceSelectArguments arguments) at System.Web.UI.DataSourceView.Select(DataSourceSelectArguments arguments, DataSourceViewSelectCallback callback) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataBoundControl.PerformSelect() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.BaseDataBoundControl.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridView.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.BaseDataBoundControl.EnsureDataBound() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.CompositeDataBoundControl.CreateChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.EnsureChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) I found that CRM is doing a server.transfer to capture this error because my UpdatePanels started throwing JavaSript errors when this error would occur. I was only able to get the full error message by using the JavaScript debugger in IE. Having found this error, I thought the solution would be simple. I just needed to wrap my databind calls in try/catch blocks to capture any errors. Unfortunately it seems CRM's IIS configuration has the magic ability to capture this error before it ever gets back to my code. Using the debugger I never see it. It never gets to my catch blocks, but it's clearly happening in the SQL Data Source which is clearly (by the stack trace) being triggered by my GridView bind. Any ideas on this? It's driving me crazy. Code Behind (with some irrelevant functions omitted): protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { //Initialize some stuff this.bannerOracle = new OdbcConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["OracleConnectionString"].ConnectionString); //Prospect default HideProspects(); HideProspectAddressColumn(); //Contacts default HideContactAddressColumn(); //Default error messages gvContacts.EmptyDataText = "Sad day. I used a function to calculate information about certain instructions I intialized in a map, like this void get_objectcode(char*&token1,const int &y) { map<string, int> operations; operations["ADD"] = 18; operations["AND"] = 40; operations["COMP"] = 28; operations["DIV"] = 24; operations["J"] = 0X3c; operations["JEQ"] =30; operations["JGT"] =34; operations["JLT"] =38; operations["JSUB"] =48; operations["LDA"] =00; operations["LDCH"] =50; operations["LDL"] =55; operations["LDX"] =04; operations["MUL"] =20; operations["OR"] =44; operations["RD"] =0xd8; operations["RSUB"] =0x4c; operations["STA"] =0x0c; operations["STCH"] =54; operations["STL"] =14; operations["STSW"] =0xe8; operations["STX"] =10; operations["SUB"] =0x1c; operations["TD"] =0xe0; operations["TIX"] =0x2c; operations["WD"] =0xdc; if ((operations.find("ADD")->first==token1)||(operations.find("AND")->first==token1)||(operations.find("COMP")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("DIV")->first==token1)||(operations.find("J")->first==token1)||(operations.find("JEQ")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("JGT")->first==token1)||(operations.find("JLT")->first==token1)||(operations.find("JSUB")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("LDA")->first==token1)||(operations.find("LDCH")->first==token1)||(operations.find("LDL")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("LDX")->first==token1)||(operations.find("MUL")->first==token1)||(operations.find("OR")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("RD")->first==token1)||(operations.find("RSUB")->first==token1)||(operations.find("STA")->first==token1)||(operations.find("STCH")->first==token1)||(operations.find("STCH")->first==token1)||(operations.find("STL")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("STSW")->first==token1)||(operations.find("STX")->first==token1)||(operations.find("SUB")->first==token1) ||(operations.find("TD")->first==token1)||(operations.find("TIX")->first==token1)||(operations.find("WD")->first==token1)) { int y=operations.find(token1)->second; //cout<<hex<<y<<endl; } return ; } which if I cout y in the function gives me an answer just fine which is what i need but there is a problem tring to return the value from the function so that I could use it outside the function , it gives a whole different answer, what is the problem

  • datagridview winform tag only brings back the first row value

    - by jvcoach23
I'm using visual studio 2008. I have a datagridview in a winform. I've bound to it using an object Private Sub LoadAllCampers() Dim Os As List(Of LE.Camper) = Nothing Dim Oc As New LE.Camper_Controller Os = Oc.GetCamperData(0) With Me.dgResults .DataSource = Os End With CamperBindingSource.DataSource = Os End Sub I have a tag setup on the ID property within the Camper class. when i double click on a row in teh datagridview, i do a me.dgResults.tag and it always shows the first rows ID value. If i change the ordering within the class, it will display a different value, but it's always the first value in the datagridview. I'm missing something simple to get this working.. just don't know what it is. Hopefully someone can spare a minute.

  • str_replace match only first instance

    - by kylex
    A followup question to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3063704/ Given the following POST data: 2010-June-3 <remove>2010-June-3</remove> 2010-June-15 2010-June-16 2010-June-17 2010-June-3 2010-June-1 I'm wanting to remove ONLY the first instance of 2010-June-3, but the following code removes all the data. $i = 1; $pattern = "/<remove>(.*?)<\/remove>/"; preg_match_all($pattern, $_POST['exclude'], $matches, PREG_SET_ORDER); if (!empty($matches)) { foreach ($matches as $match) { // replace first instance of excluded data $_POST['exclude'] = str_replace($match[1], "", $_POST['exclude'], $i); } } echo "<br /><br />".$_POST['exclude']; This echos: <remove></remove> 2010-June-15 2010-June-16 2010-June-17 2010-June-1 It should echo: <remove>2010-June-3</remove> 2010-June-15 2010-June-16 2010-June-17 2010-June-3 2010-June-1

  • Difference between KeywordQuery, FullTextQuerySearch type for Object Model and Web service Query

    - by Raghu
Initially I believed these 3 to be doing more or less the same thing with just the notation being different. Until recently, when i noticed that their does exists a big difference between the results of the KeyWordQuery/FullTextQuerySearch and Web service Query. I used both KeywordQuery and FullText method to search of the the value of a customColumn XYZ with value (ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD):- When I run this query as:- FullTextSqlQuery:- FullTextSqlQuery myQuery = new FullTextSqlQuery(site); { // Construct query text String queryText = "Select title, path, author, isdocument from scope() where freetext('ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD') "; myQuery.QueryText = queryText; myQuery.ResultTypes = ResultType.RelevantResults; }; // execute the query and load the results into a datatable ResultTableCollection queryResults = myQuery.Execute(); ResultTable resultTable = queryResults[ResultType.RelevantResults]; // Load table with results DataTable queryDataTable = new DataTable(); queryDataTable.Load(resultTable, LoadOption.OverwriteChanges); I get the following result representing the document. * Title: TestPDF * path: http://SharepointServer/Shared Documents/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=94 * author: null * isDocument: false Do note the Path and isDocument fields of the above result. Web Service Method Then I tried a Web Service Query method. I used Sharepoint Search Service Tool available at http://sharepointsearchserv.codeplex.com/ and ran the same query i.e. Select title, path, author, isdocument from scope() where freetext('ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD'). This time I got the following results:- * Title: TestPDF * path: http://SharepointServer/Shared Documents/TestPDF.pdf * author: null * isDocument: true Again note the path. While the search results from 2nd method are useful as they provide me the file path exactly, I can't seem to understand why is the method 1 not giving me the same results? Why is there a discrepancy between the two results?

  • I'm trying to use a regular expression to retrieve text from RichTextBox

    - by Simon
Hello! As the header is implying I'm trying to retrieve a certain line of numbers from a richtextbox and then put it into a separate textbox. I've tried this code below but it doesn't wanna work with me. It's probably way wrong and there's probably easier ways of doing it but I'm quite new to this stuff and I would appreciate all the help I can get in this matter. I have a textbox called tbPersNr; A RichTextBox called tbText; A button which is called btnGet; string regPattern = @"\\d{6}-\\d{4}"; int indexOfSearch = 0; private void btnGet_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { int startIndex = 0; if (tbText.Text.Length > 0) { startIndex = HittaPersNr(regPattern, startIndex, tbText.Text.Length); } if (startIndex > 0) { this.tbPersNr.Text = regPattern.ToString(); } } public int HittaPersNr(string txtToSearch, int searchStart, int searchEnd) { // Setting default value to -1. int retVal = -1; // Validating start of the search // om indexOfSearch = -1, slutar sökningen if (searchStart >= 0 && indexOfSearch >= 0) { // Validating end of search if (searchEnd > searchStart || searchEnd == -1) { // Searching for results in richtextbox indexOfSearch = tbText.Find(regPattern, searchStart, searchEnd, RichTextBoxFinds.None); // Validating if search resulted in any finds. if (indexOfSearch != -1) { // putting index to value in the text. retVal = indexOfSearch; } } } return retVal; } } } Cheers

  • Drawing text to <canvas> with @font-face does not work at the first time

    - by lemonedo
Hi all, First try the test case please: http://lemon-factory.net/test/font-face-and-canvas.html I'm not good at English, so I made the test case to be self-explanatory. On the first click to the DRAW button, it will not draw text, or will draw with an incorrect typeface instead of the specified "PressStart", according to your browser. After then it works as expected. At the first time the text does not appear correctly in all browsers I've tested (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera). Is it the standard behavior or something? Thank you. PS: Following is the code of the test case <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html;charset=utf-8"> <title>@font-face and canvas</title> <style> @font-face { font-family: 'PressStart'; src: url('http://lemon-factory.net/css/fonts/prstart.ttf'); } canvas, pre { border: 1px solid #666; } pre { float: left; margin: .5em; padding: .5em; } </style> </head> <body> <div> <canvas id=canvas width=250 height=250> Your browser does not support the CANVAS element. Try the latest Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or Opera. </canvas> <button>DRAW</button> </div> <pre id=style></pre> <pre id=script></pre> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas') var ctx = canvas.getContext('2d') var x = 30 var y = 10 function draw() { ctx.font = '12px PressStart' ctx.fillStyle = '#000' ctx.fillText('Hello, world!', x, y += 20) ctx.fillRect(x - 20, y - 10, 10, 10) } $('button').click(draw) $('pre#style').text($('style').text()) $('pre#script').text($('script').text()) </script> </body> </html>
