  • Jelly bean not calling onPrepareOptionsMenu() when opening the menu for the first time

    I'm overriding onPrepareOptionsMenu to hide and show menu items. When testing it with the API level 16 emulator; onPrepareOptionsMenu is not called when opening the menu for the first time. But when i reopen the menu it works. The problem is only with the first usage. You can simple test it with this; @Override public void onPrepareOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { Toast.makeText(this.getActivity(), "pre", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); super.onPrepareOptionsMenu(menu); } Any ideas?

    Although in Oracle DB its is allowed to parametrize the number of rows that the query can fetch by adding to the query: select ... from ... where ... and rownum <= @MaximumRecords I can't add similar condition to acuivalent query running in DB2: It is allowed to add: select ... from ... where ... fetch first 500 rows only (where there is fixed number of rows) but not: select ... from ... where ... fetch first :1 rows only (:1 == @MaximumRecords) Is someone aware of a solution/work-around to this problem?

    What is the best way to go about getting your very first programming job? I am currently going to college but have a few years before I graduate. I want to get out of my current "factory" job and into a computer related field as soon as possible. I found quite a few positions that I qualify for, but believe my pathetic resume has hurt me. My resume has a "skills" section where I list everything I am familiar with, but my employment section contains my first job (Super Wash, best car wash around!) and my current job (Assembling stuff that makes up various fans and motors). So how can I extend my jQuery selection to select the literal ) or do I need to use another solution?

  • Javascript - Canvas image never appears on first function run

    I'm getting a bit of a weird issue, the image never shows the first time you run the game in your browser, after that you see it every time. If you close your browser and re open it and run the game again, the same issue occurs - you don't see the image the first time you run it. Here's the issue in action, just hit a wall and there's no image the first time on the end game screen. Any help would be appreciated. For reasons beyond our understanding, the first call to the database server fails with the following error: An error has occurred during report processing. Cannot open database "TryParkingIt2" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'EXTRANET\OurServerNameHere$'. Run the report again, it works. Huh? Update Click the button the first time, it fails. Click the button again, it works. The account being impersonated is a domain account.

    Got a problem where preg_replace only replaces the first match it finds then jumps to the next line and skips the remaining parts on the same line that I also want to be replaced. What I do is that I read a CSS file that sometimes have multiple "url(media/pic.gif)" on a row and replace "media/pic.gif" (the file is then saved as a copy with the replaced parts). The content of the CSS file is put into the variable $resource_content: $resource_content = preg_replace('#(url\((\'|")?)(.*)((\'|")?\))#i', '${1}'.url::base(FALSE).'${3}'.'${4}', $resource_content); Does anyone know a solution for why it only replaces the first match per line?

    greetings, i am writng a socket program using sockets in c# (asynchronous). the issue is, when a client connects to the server it kinda happens quiet fast. then.. when the first message is sent there is a delay in responding. this only happens to the very first data being sent over the connection. and boh client and server suffers from this behaviour. what is this delay? is there a way to get rid of this? many thanks.

    Hi, I am trying to use multiple web services on a single CF page. I have entered the stubs directory for each of the web services in the ColdFusion Class Path within administrator server settings java and jvm paths are listed separated by commas: c:\coldfusion9\stubs\ws1,c:\coldfusion9\stubs\ws2 for some reason, only the web service whose stub path is listed first will work. When I try to call the second web service, I get a "web service operation ... cannot be found" but if i switch the order of paths listed in the admin settings and restart the service, the web service listed first now will work. any ideas on how to manage multiple web services and their stubs ? thanks!

  • sqlite & python - only pulls the first result

    This is pretty strange (admitedly, this is my first attempt with python / sqlite), but I can seem to get all of the rows if I do a fetchAll(), but other than that - no matter what I try, always ends up in the db only returning the first row - the second iteration stops because a null is returned. Wondering if there is something wrong with how I am coding this up in python? I can correct the problem by writing cout << (a>temp); where the operator> is similarly defined and i get no errors. but my assignment requires (temp < a) to work so this is where i ask for help.     Hi all, In my application, I need to add this functionality that there should be an arrow image upside down placed before first cell and some text like "Pull down to refresh" and when user pulls the table beyond this then this arrow gets inverted and text changes to "Release to refresh" and when the user releases his finger, the data is refreshed and rows get added to that point So now this initial arrow and text moves upwards before the first cell again. Can anybody tell me wheather there's any event that does this? Or else which event I need to capture in order to add this functionality? Thanks in advance.

  • Sphinx - delimiters

    Hi, I would like to know if the Sphinx engine works with any delimiters (like commas and periods in normal MySQL). My question comes from the urge, not to use them at all, but to escape them or at least thay they don't enter in conflict when performing MATCH operations with FULLTEXT searches, since I have problems dealing with them in MySQL by default and I would prefer not to be forced to replace those delimiters by any other characters to provide a good set of results. Sorry if I'm saying something stupid, but I don't have experience with Sphinx or other complementary (?) search engines. To give you an example, if I perform a search with "Passat 2.0 TDI" MySQL by default would identify the period in this case as a delimiter and since the "2" and "0" are too short to be considered words by default, the results would be a bit messed up. Is it easy to handle with Sphinx (or other search engine)? I'm open to suggestions. This is for a large project, with probably more than 500.000 possible records (not trivial at all). Cheers!

    Hi, I have a drop down list inside an update panel that is populated on postback from a sql data source. It has a parameter which is another control. I sometimes need multiple postbacks, but what happens is that each time the update panel refreshes, items are added to the dropdownlist. So the dropdown list ends up having data that is incorrect, or repeated data. I have the AppendDataboundItems property set to true because I need the first item to be blank. How can I overcome this problem? Is there another way to have a blank first item? (This dropdown is in an asp.net2.0 web app, and codebehind is in c#) Thank you.
