• FTP server deatails according to domain

  Hello, What I am trying to accomplish is getting relative and absolute paths to files, images and folders that reside on a remote server. I have website address, and FTP details (these are required when signing up). What i need to know is whether the FTP details correspond correctly with the website. Firstly I used (this is all in PHP I forgot to add) : $conn_id = ftp_connect("ftp.".$WEBSITE); if($login_result = ftp_login ($conn_id, $ftpUser, $ftpPass)) which works. BUT what i dont know, and am not sure about at all, will ("ftp.".$WEBSITE) be sufficient for all "FTP servers"? Regards, Phil Jackson

• nHibernate: Query tree nodes where self or ancestor matches condition

  I have see a lot of competing theories about hierarchical queries in fluent-nHibernate or even basic nHibernate and how they're a difficult beast. Does anyone have any knowledge of good resources on the subject. I find myself needing to do queries similar to: (using a file system analog) select folderObjects from folders where folder.Permissions includes :myPermissionLevel or [any of my ancestors] includes :myPermissionLevel This is a one to many tree, no node has multiple parents. I'm not sure how to describe this in nHibernate specific terms or, even sql-terms. I've seen the phrase "nested sets" mentioned, is this applicable? I'm not sure. Can anyone offer any advice on approaches to writing this sort of nHibernate query?

  I have several configuration files on Windows Server 2008 nested like such: C:\Projects\Project_1\project1.config C:\Projects\Project_2\project2.config In my configuration I need to do a string replace like such: <add key="Environment" value="Dev"/> will become: <add key="Environment" value="Demo"/> I thought about using batch scripting, but there was no good way to do this, and I heard that with PowerShell scripting you can easily perform this. I have found examples of find/replace, but I was hoping for a way that would traverse all folders within my C:\Projects directory and find any files that end with the '.config' extension. When it finds one, I want it to replace my string values. Any good resources to find out how to do this or any PowerShell gurus that can offer some insight?

• Mercurial Messing Up csproj Files?

  I am using Hg to manage and merge code with three other developers involved in a VS2008 project. We do have an .hgignore file that ignores a fair number of files not necessary to track, such as *.pdb, *.obj, etc. However, we do track .csproj files. Periodically, it would seem that files go missing after a merge. We would get build issues, and have to relocate files which were in the project folders, but not in the csproj file. Eventually, I noted during a merge conflict that sometimes Hg seems to merge incorrectly. Here's a screenshot below. The actual conflict that requires manual intervention is lower in the file. But in this section, hg incorrectly replaces DirectoryTasks.cs with a new, different file called ReportTasks.cs, when in fact, both should be added. How do people manage to avoid this?

  Is it possible to define a virtual directory in IIS and somehow make the files in that directory relative to the physical directory and not to the virtual directory ? For instance on my server I have the following folders: D:\WebSite\Css\myTheme.css, D:\WebSite\Images\image1.jpg I created a virtual directory on IIS resources.mysite: Inside my website I reference the sheet like this resources.mysite/myTheme.css But inside myTheme.css I reference pictures from ../Images/images1.jpg. So the problem is that image1.jpg is not found because it is relative to the physical folder and not the virtual folder on IIS. Can I solve this problem without modifying the style sheet ?

• firefox open local link to directory with explorer

  On a Website for our internal use i show links to local files and folders. the links are like this: href="file://C:/example/" href="file://C:/example/test.odt" The Problem is now that the link to the directory does open in firefox itself with a useless directory listing. Useless because you can just see the files or open them but not copy, insert, delete... The link to the file work normal and the file is opend by OpenOffice. By changing the configuration of firefox and setting the following key to false I can open the directory in with explorer.exe but for the file I have to choose the right application. network.protocol-handler.expose.file Does someone know a way to get both to work like i want? Means that the Directory is shown by explorer.exe and all files are opened by the right application. This can be by configuring Firefox or windows, changing the links, or even by writing a small program which opens all the file protocol correctly and will be used as protocol handler for the file protocol in firefox. • .NET Application using a native DLL (build management)

  I have a .NET app that is dependent on a native DLL. I have the .NET app set as AnyCPU. In the post-build step, I plan to copy the correct native DLL from some directory (x86 or AMD64) and place it in the target path. However, this doesn't work. On a 64-bit machine, the environment variable PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE is "x86" in Visual Studio. My alternative right now is to create a small tool that outputs the processor architecture. This will be used by the post-build step. Is there a better alternative? (Side Note: when deploying/packaging the app, the right native DLL is copied to the right platform. But this means we have two separate release folders for x86 and AMD64, which is OK since this is for a device driver. The app is a utility tool for the driver).

  I've checked out a branch of C# code from source control. It contains maybe 50 projects in various folders. There's no existing .sln file to be found. I intended to create a blank solution to add existing solutions. The UI only lets me do this one project at a time. Is there something I'm missing? I'd like to specify a list of *.csproj files and somehow come up with a .sln file that contains all the projects.

  can i have multiple iis ftp sites using something similar to web site's unasigned host headers? i have a dedicated server in a hosting facility and want to make a web site for each of my clients. to add/ remove files and content i want ftp access to each of the sites root folders. lets say i have 10 sites set up using unasigned host headers... how can i set up 10 analogous ftp sites on the same server?   I have a web app which serves images based on the subdomain. We wanted to provide our users with a url like this: http://{username}.domain.com/images/myimage.jpg Instead of what we used to have: http://www.reallylongdomainname.com/users/{username}/images/myimage.jpg This makes the url shorter and less 'snoopable'. So I set up an IIRF .ini file to do some url rewriting and it works great except for the fact that some of our users folders have an underscore. And from what I've read, underscore is not a valid character in a domain name (even though IIS supports it). I want to know how I could do a find and replace in the $1 back reference so that a url like this: http://some-user.domain.com/... Could be rewritten to this: /users/some_user/.. Here's my IIRF rule. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(?!www)([^\.]+)\.domain\.com RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ /users/*1/$1 [L,I] Thanks for any help.

I use a line similar to this one in the [Files] section: Source: "folder\*desktop.ini"; DestDir: "{app}\folder"; Flags: recursesubdirs uninsneveruninstall; Attribs: hidden This line only works if I remove the hidden attributes. If all are hidden, it complains that it could not find any files. How can I configure Inno to search for hidden files using patterns?

So in every page of the site I'm using my own custom class as the page base (which has been set in the web.config file) but I want to inherit from different class for the files in the "admin" folder... Is there any way to inherit different classes for pages in different folders using the web.config or some other equally as global method? I want to select a folder then ftp all the files in the folder .. so i need access upto only the folder level and not file level .. i guess it would be tedious to go an manually select every file from the folder and then ftp .. is there a way to do that..   ARGH Eclipse is SO frustrating I have a directory called c:\RemoteSrc . Under this there are 3 directories which are currently source folders (I think? the icon is an open folder with a little orange grid in it) in my Eclipse project. I have dropped a new directory under c:\RemoteSrc which I also want to add to my project. BUT If I right click on my project and go "Build Path..." - "Link Source" and try to add it it tells me "Folder already exists with a different case". Yes i KNOW that the folder already exists THATS WHY IM TRYING TO ADD IT.

• Read a remote zipped xml with just XSL

  Hello there I want to know if it's possible for an XSLT file to read data from an XML located within folders of a remote zip(from the server at work), without any external processors (saxon and so forth) and without downloading it. Failing that, I'll resort to just reading the information from the zip... which brings me to my other (newb)issue. I currently have an XSLT that accesses and gets the data from the downloaded and extracted XML file, but I can't do this without extracting it. I've read that with Altova and xslt 2.0 it is possible to read from within a zip file using the document() function, though, as of yet I have not been able achieve this. this is how I'm trying to do it: document('name.zip|zip/folder/folder2/iwantthis.xml') It just doesn't seem to find the file. I'd be almost eternally grateful if you show me the error of my ways and guide me into XSLThood. Thank you kindly

  Hi - I wondered if there were any tree libraries available for (n)curses. I'm trying to write a component that shows a tree of folders & was curious if there was a prebuilt curses component that could do this. I've checked 'core' curses as well as libraries like CDK - and I can't seem to find anything. • Sandcastle setup - Navigation to webpage was canceled.

  I am try to use Sandcastle Help File Builder, but can't quite get it to work. Here is what I have done: 1) installed the program; works like normal 2) enabled xml in the project I want documentation for that gets generated in the /bin 3) created a new sandcastle help file project 4) added the C# project as (its a WCF service in case that matters) a documentation service 5) ran the "build" to generate the help file 6) went to "documentation"/"view help file"/"view help file" in the GUI 7) The file opens and contains the appopriate "folders", but every page says "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" I have seen the xml file in the /bin and it contains all of my /// comments, so why are they not showing up in the help file? Any ideas?

• Need to change ip address in app.config in runtime without runnning as admin

  Hey guys, There's a lot of post saying how to change info in the app.config and there are posts that say you shouldn't edit info in the app.config but store info in user folders. I understand these topics. But what i want is a combination of both. I have a wcf setup for my client in an app.config, which contains the endpoint address to which it should connect. When The server changes ip, or when a client is installed on a computer in another company, the user should be able to insert another ip-address which should be stored in the app.config. This cannot be stored in a file in appdata or something like that, as the client reads the info in the app.config on startup. How can i write (so remember the new ip-address) in the app.config when the client is installed in program files, the UAC is enabled and the program isn't run as an admin? Thanks in advance.

• Can i make an installer for my delphi programme?

  I have made a delphi programme, which consists of a .exe and two custom file types that i have made (called Data.data and variables.data) I want to create a programme / find a programme that would place a copy of the main .exe in a folder in the program folders of XP, along with the .data files, and then place a shortcut to the programme on the desktop (ideally it would also put a folder in the start menu - all programmes with the programme. I should probably also make an uninstaller as well, that would remove the desktop shortcut, and delete the files. Is there a free piece of software i can use to create this, or is there any way i could achieve this myself through delphi?

• Committing file deletions to svn repository whilst ignoring some other local mods

  I have svn repository where I have scheduled some files and folders to be moved in the repository with svn mv. I also have some files that are peers of the files to be moved that have local modifications of which I only want a subset of those files to be committed along with the moves. e.g. the output of svn st would look like: D foo/bar D foo/bar/a.txt D foo/bar/b.txt M foo/exclude.txt M foo/include.txt A foo/whiz/bar A + foo/whiz/bar/c.txt A + foo/whiz/bar/d.txt To commit to the moves to the repository, I would need to perform the commit on foo but that would also commit the modifications to foo/exclude.txt and foo/include.txt. How would I commit only the deletions/additions as a result of the move plus the mods to foo/include.txt whilst excluding foo/exclude.txt? I have a feeling the answer lies with the --depth argument to svn ci but it's not clear to me how it will operate.

• Monitoring for non-pgp files

  For privacy reasons, I want to prevent my users from posting unencrypted files to my ftp site. It is company policy that all data exchanges of sensitive data be encrypted with PGP. I'd like to setup a program to monitor the ftp folders and whenever a new file is placed there, verify that it is in fact encrypted. I can't just rely on the file extension because in some cases, our trading partners require a specific filename that doesn't have a .PGP on the end. Is there a library or another method I can use to verify that a given file is encrypted? I'm using C# and .NET on a windows platform.

  I need to return a full directory name from inside a specified directory that contains .default in the folder name. Basically I'm adding a line in a backup script to backup firefox bookmarks, but the profile name is going to be different on every machine and I need a way to find the folder the bookmarks.html file resides without knowing the firefox profile name I've looked at FIND and FINDSTR but neither seem to be what I need. I can not use the in built treeview in ASP.Net as i need to point the target of the selection to another frame (I have tried, and this doesn't seem possible). • PHP specifying a fixed include source for scripts in different directories

  I am currently doing unit testing, and use folders to organize my test cases. All cases pertaining to managing of user accounts, for example, go under \tests\accounts. Over time, there are more test cases, and I begin to seperate the cases by types, such as \tests\accounts\create, \tests\account\update and etc. However, one annoying problem is I have to specify the path to a set of common includes. I have to use includes like this: include_once ("../../../../autoload.php"); include_once ("../../../../init.php"); A test case in tests\accounts\ would require change to the include (one less directory level down). Is there anyway to have them somehow locating my two common includes? I understand I could set include paths within my PHP's configurations, or use server environment variables, but I would like to avoid such solutions as they make the application less portable and coupled with another layer which the programmer can't control (some web-host doesn't allow configuration of PHP's configuration settings, for example)

• Problem w/ Paperclip, MacPorts, ImageMagick & Snow Leopard

  I'm attempting to use ImageMagick along w/ Paperclip to handle the images on my rails app. The problem is whenever I try to upload an image I get the following in the terminal: [paperclip] An error was received while processing: #<Paperclip::NotIdentifiedByImageMagickError: /var/folders/go/goZ833AaFaqyvv5RnLqQmE+++TM/-Tmp-/stream20110107-6356-1xfs9j1-0.jpg is not recognized by the 'identify' command.> I have added the following to my environments/development.rb file: Paperclip.options[:command_path] = "/usr/local/bin" If I try to interact w/ ImageMagick in the terminal by using "convert" or something similar I get: dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libltdl.7.dylib Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/convert Reason: Incompatible library version: convert requires version 10.0.0 or later, but libltdl.7.dylib provides version 9.0.0 Trace/BPT trap I've already tried updating everything w/ port but the problem still persists. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
