  Hey, I have two tables in one DB, one called Cottages and one called Hotels. In both tables they have the same named fields. I basically have a search bar that i want it to search in both of the fields in both of the tables. (the two fields being called "Name" and "Location" SO far I have $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Cottages WHERE Name LIKE '%$term%' or Location LIKE '%$term%' LIMIT 0, 30"); But this only searches the Cottages table, how can I make it search both the cottages and hotel tables? • Is there a simple script to convert C++ enum to string?

  Suppose we have some named enums: enum MyEnum { FOO, BAR = 0x50 }; What I googled for is a script (any language) that scans all the headers in my project and generates a header with one function per enum. char* enum_to_string(MyEnum t); And a implementation with something like this: char* enum_to_string(MyEnum t){ switch(t){ case FOO: return "FOO"; case BAR: return "BAR"; default: return "INVALID ENUM"; } } The gotcha is really with typedefed enums, and unnamed C style enums. Does anybody know something for this? EDIT: The solution should not modify my source, except for the generated functions. The enums are in an API, so using the solutions proposed until now is just not an option.

• Hook to make Subversion Read Only for specific users

  We have an existing Subversion repository that uses LDAP to manage users/passwords. There are some new users who we would like to provide read-only access to SVN. I did some Google searches and found a way to open up read-only access to anonymous users, but this is not what we want. We do not want to open up SVN to everyone. We still want to control login through LDAP, but we would like to prevent certain named users from being able to add/edit/delete. I am assuming this can be done with a hook (pre-commit?), but I have no experience writing hooks. Can someone show me or point me to an example of how to do this?

  Trying to figure out how to install rails plugins manually on windows so I have a few questions. What does the directory need to be named in vendor/plugins? Is it arbitrary or is it linked to something within the plugin config files or is that what you set in the environment.rb? Once I've copied the files to the correct directory, do I always need to run something inside like init.rb or is it good to go? What's the difference between 'require' and 'include'? Thanks!

• Categorized SharePoint Discussion - default category to parents category on reply.

  I have a Discussion Board in a SharePoint site which has an additional column named Category. When a new discussion is created, it prompts for Category, and of course this is by design. The problem is that when the discussion is replied to, it prompts for the category again. How can I separate the reply functionality so that the Category is not prompted and the Category is set to that of the discussion under which it resides? I attempted to edit a copy of NewForm.aspx in SharePoint Designer, but you can only edit which WebPart it is using, not which fields are displayed.

  Hello! I'm writing a OSX PDF Workflow in ObjC and C. A single executable ("UNIX Tool" as named in the Apple reference), that reads in the spooled PDF file, does some parsing. I'd like to give more functionality by enabling a key-down event handling, meaning - when user opens print dialog in an application - and chooses to left-mouse-click on the custom made pdf workflow to run it - depending on if a keyboard key is down (i.e. option key, but "any key down" would be enough for me) when running that workflow - a decision is made in the code. I have read NSEvent and Carbon Event Manager reference and it seems that in this case (a plain unix executable + not run as root) it's not possible. Or is it? Many thanks in advance, Kroko

  Basically, how do I link an Outlook form and a C# back end? In VB you can write on the form Sub ButtonName_Click() Dim Recipients With Item.GetInspector.ModifiedFormPages("Message") Set Recipients = .Controls("To") End With End Sub which will fire whenever the button named "ButtonName" on the form is clicked and will set the variable Recipients to a string of whatever is in the To text box. Now I have a custom form, and I have a VS C# Outlook Add-in, and they're two separate things. I've got an event handler that can catch MailItem objects, but I don't know how to handle custom form button clicks or even how to access elements on the form. EDIT - Just to clarify, the custom form was created in Outlook and then its .ofs was imported into VS. Both Outlook and VS are 2010.

  I have a bunch of files which are named: mem0.csv mem1.csv . . . . mem153.csv . . . They are all in the same folder. When I do ls in the folder they appear in an order of mem0.csv mem1.csv mem10.csv mem100.csv . . . mem2.csv mem20.csv . . . I want to create a bash script to push 0's between mem and the number. I figure that I need to add 0's until all the filenames are of the same length only problem is that I don't know how to do this.

  I have to concat 2 linq2sql query and I have an issue since the 2 query doesn't return the same number of columns, what is weird is after a .ToList() on the queries, they can concat without problem. The reason is, for some linq2sql reason, I have 2 more column named test and test2 which come from 2 left outer join that linq2sql automatically create, something like "select 1 as test, tablefields" Is there any good reason for that? how to remove this extra "1 as test" field? here a few of examples of what it look like: google result for linq 2 sql "select 1 as test"

  Hello, i often work on private projects using the WinApi, and as you might know, it has thousands of named and typedefed structs like MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION. I will stick to this one in my question, what still is preferred, or better when you want to name a variable of this type. Is there some kind of style guide for this case? For example if i need that variable for the VirtualQueryEx function. Some ideas: MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION memoryBasicInformation; MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION memory_basic_information; Just use the name of the struct non capitalized and with or without the underlines. MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION basicInformation; MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION information; Short form? MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION mbi; I often see this style, using the abbreviation of the struct name. MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION buffer; VirtualQueryEx defines the third parameter lpBuffer (where you pass the pointer to the struct), so using this name might be an idea, too. Cheers

• Finding files with bash and copy to another location and reducing depth of folders

  I'm trying to recover a mates hard drive, there is no structure what so ever so music and images are everywhere but in named folders sometimes 5 folders deep, I've managed to write a one-liner that finds the files and copies them to a mounted drive but it preserves the file structure completely. What I'm after is a bit of code that searches the drive and copies to another location and copies just the parent folder with the mp3/jpg files within and not the complete path. The other issue I have is the music is /folder/folder/folder/Artist/1.mp3..2.mp3..10.mp3 etc etc so I have to preserve the folder 'Artist' to give him any hope of finding his tracks again. What I have working currently: find /media/HP/ -name *.mp3 -fprintf /media/HP/MUSIC/Script.sh 'mkdir -p "/media/HP/MUSIC/%h" \n cp "%h/%f" "/media/HP/MUSIC/%h/"\n' I then run the script.sh and it does all the copying.   The place where I work has 2 servers and a load balancer. The setup is horrible since I have to manually make sure both servers have the same files. I know there are ways to automate this but it has not been implemented, hopefully soon (I have no control over this). I wrote an application that collects a bunch of information from a user, then creates a folder named after the email of the user in one of the servers. The problem is that I can't control in which server the folder gets created in, so let say a user goes in.. fills his stuff and his folder gets created in server 1, user goes away for a while and goes back to the site but this time the load balancer throws the user into server 2, now the user does something that needs to be saved into his folder but since it didn't created in this server an error occurs. What can I do about this? any suggestions? Thanks

• jQuery: Post form to a modal window for previewing the entered data

  I am looking for a way to use jQuery to allow a user to look at a modal window "preview" of a form before they submit the form to be saved. I have this working with javascript, the form is posted to a file named preview.php that iterates through the posted information. The script currently opens a new window. I would like instead to use jQuery to post the form to a modal window for previewing. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this? • Zend autloading different namespaces from the same directory?

  Hey guys, I have a models directory in my project, and I would like to save/files classes there with different namespaces. Example: models/User.php with classname Model_User models/Table_User.php with classname Model_Table_User For the first namespace I have this in bootstrap.php $resourceLoader->addResourceTypes(array( 'model' => array( 'namespace' => 'Model', 'path' => 'models' ) )); I can't figure out how to add the second namespace so it detects files starting with Table_ Any ideas? For now I've added a second directory named 'tables' but it's getting confusing because I have each model name twice (once in the models diretory and once in the tables directory)

• Neo4j+Gremlin : Trouble with T.gte and floating point node attributes

  For a type of nodes in my graph, attribute values for an attribute(named 'some_count') is either missing or an integer or a float. I'm trying to write gremlin to filter these nodes based on minimum value for this attribute. I first verified that the values are indeed present by firing the following gremlin g.v(XXX)._().in('category').hasNot('some_count', T.eq, null).back(1).some_count Next, I tried filtering by exact value and that works and show me the matching nodes or gives an empty array if there is no match g.v(XXX)._().in('category').hasNot('some_count', T.eq, null).back(1).has('some_count', T.eq, 120000.0d) But the following query that uses the 'greater than or equal to' comparator doesn't work. g.v(XXX)._().in('category').hasNot('some_count', T.eq, null).back(1).has('some_count', T.gte, 1.0d) this returns nil (I'm querying via ruby/rails using Neo4j AR Adapter ) Instead of returning an empty array for no match, it returns a nil, which tells me something could be wrong with the query itself. I'm running neo4j community server 1.8. Is there a way I can ask Neo4j to log errors/queries, to see what could be going wrong ?

• OOP question about functions that struck me all of a sudden.

  Hello, May be my question is stupid. But i would like to get it cleared. We know that functions are loaded in memory only once and when you create new objects, only instance variables gets created, functions are never created. My question is, say suppose there is server and all clients access a method named createCustomer(). Say suppose all clients do something which fired createCustomer on server. So, if the method is in middle of execution and new client fires it. Will the new request be put on wait? or new request also will start executing the method? How does it all get managed when there is only one copy of function in memory? No book mentions answers to this type of questions. So i am posting here where i am bound to get answers :).

  Lets say I have a directory at \testfolder, and the latest is currently at /main/10. I know that the operation resulting in testfolder@@/main/6 is to remove a file named test.txt. What's a sequence of cleartool operations that can be done in a script that will take "testfolder@@/main/6" and "test.txt" as input, and will cat out the contents of test.txt as of that time? One way I can think of is to get the time of /main/6 operation, create a view with config spec -time set to that time, and then cat the test.txt at the directory. But I'm wondering if I can do this in a easier way that doesn't involve manipulating config specs, perhaps through "cleartool find" and extended path names

I then made a button just to test out the variables. The button does this: Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() UserName.Value = UserName End Sub The text box has no value when I click the button. I'm super new at VBA, and would like to know how to do this. Also, if anyone knows how to automatically execute codes when starting the PowerPoint, that would be fantastic.
