    I have worked out how to calculate the correlation coefficient between two fields if both are in the same table: SELECT corr(column1, column2) FROM table WHERE <my filters>; ...but I can't work out how to do it when the columns are from different tables (I need to apply the same filters to both tables). Any hints, please?

  • SQL, problem with OrderBy / GroupBy

    Hi, In my table I have two fields among others : article_id and *version* *example: article_id : 5 // version 1 aricle_id: 5 // version 2 article_id: 6 // version 1* What i want to do is to retrieve the latest version for each article id (in my example i want to retrieve the article 5 version 2 object and article 6 and version 1 object). The problem is that mysql is doing the groupBy instead of the OrderBy so it returns to me the FIRST version of each article, but i want the opposit. Do you have an idea please ?

  • Why oh why doesn't my asp.net treeview update?

    I'm using an ASP.net treeview on a page with a custom XmlDataSource. When the user clicks on a node of the tree, a detailsview pops up and edits a bunch of things about the underlying object. All this works properly, and the underlying object gets updated in my background object-management classes. Yay! However, my treeview just isn't updating the display. Either immediately (which i would like it to), or on full page re-load (which is the minimal useful level i need it to be at). Am i subclassing XmlDataSource poorly? I really don't know. Can anyone point me in a good direction? Thanks!   • Batch adding attribute to attribute sets

    I have a Magento installation with around 60 attribute sets. I need to add a new attribute to each of the attribute sets. There doesn't seem to anyway of doing this in the admin control panel. I am sure I can work it out by manually entering the correct fields into the database, but is there a way of doing this through the API or through the Import / Export profiles? Any suggestions would be gladly received.

However, the following vb.net code throws a StrongTypingException (in the autogenerated get_SomeField() method in the dataset designer): If Not IsDBNull(aRow.SomeField) Then 'do something End If According to documentation and this question it should be fine. edit: If aRow.SomeField is DBNull.Value Then also returns the same error. Argh.

    Is it possible to use pure Encrypting and Decrypting keys instead of private and public keys? As I know in .Net asymmetric RSA implementation private key RSAParameters parameters = (new RSACryptoServiceProvider()).ExportParameters(true) is a superset of public key. And using private key we can both encrypt and decrypt our data. But I need key only for decrypting data. How to do it? I experimented on nulling RSAParameters fields, but RSACryptoServiceProvider object can't import such parameters.
