• Thunderbird: moving email from local Junk folder to IMAP folder yields "Message contains invalid header"

  Whenever I try to move an email from a local Junk folder to an IMAP folder in Thunderbird, I get the following error message: The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: Message contains invalid header If Thunderbird's Junk folder is an IMAP folder on the server, then after Thunderbird has moved messages to that folder, I can successfully move messages from Junk back into to some other IMAP folder. However, if the Junk folder is not on the server, then moving a message from the local Junk folder to an IMAP folder yields the aforementioned error. The only interesting thing I've found about this error is "Message contains invalid header" from the MozillaZine Knowledge Base. That article officially is about importing folders from another email client, and does not mention the Junk filter as another possible cause. However the proposed solution is not very helpful since it requires manual editing of the message box files. Any better ideas? EDIT: make sure you read the comments before answering the question.

  i will have the following set up: people will be sending text messages to a server, and that server will be forwarding the messages to other phone numbers i am not sure what kind of framework i should use. should i develop an SMS gateway and use AT commands? should i just try to somehow use AIM or GCHAT to capture and send SMS messages? would there be a different more suitable configuration? are there already developed frameworks that are free which i can use? for example i know that i can send an SMS to almost anyone through gchat or aim by sending a message to "+" and the number of the person. is this scalable and can i use it for my own benefit? any sms developers out there?

  I'm gonna sketch my understanding of both. I've googled around but i'm not sure about my knowledge. Please correct me! Hardware interrupt is generated by the operation system event scheduler to reassign the cpu time for another process. Is this true? Software interrupt can be generated from a running program who wants for example to read a file, and for that we need to reassign the cpu for the appropriate operation system call. Is this true? Is there other kind of software/hardware interrupts?

• LinkSys WRT54GL + AM200 in half-bridge mode - Setup guide recommendations?

  I am basically looking for a good guide on how to set up my home network with this set of hardware. I need: Dynamic DNS Firewall + port-forwarding VPN Wake-on-LAN from outside firewall VOIP would be nice QoS would be nice (make torrents take lower priority to other services when those other services are happening) DHCP Wireless + WPA2 security Ability to play multiplayer computer games I am not a networking or computing neophyte, but the last time I messed with network gear was a few years ago, so am needing to dust off knowledge I kinda half have. I have read that I should be wanting to set up the AM200 in half-bridge mode, so that the WRT54GL gets the WAN IP - this sounds like a good idea, but I'd still like to be advised. I have read that the dd-wrt firmware will meet my needs (though I gather I'll need the vpn-specific build, which appears to preclude supporting VOIP), but I'm not wedded to using it. My ISP supplies me with: a block of 8 static IPs, of which 5 are usable to me a PPPoA ADSL2+ connection

• Javascript (JQuery) keyboard hijack problem

  I'm making a typing tutor program using javascript. Everything is going well except that if activates browser hotkeys which disrupts the functionality of the program. When I press the single quote in Firefox it triggers "Quick find (links only)" short cut and in all browsers when I press space the page scrolls down a page. Everything is working fine outside of this. • Change date in a SQL query to reference a cell in Excel

  I have the following code that returns the needed data into excel and manually changing the date will change the returned data; however, I'd like to reference a cell with a formula that will make the query a bit more user friendly. I've tried using my limited knowledge of referencing a cell but none have worked. But i can configure the device to send the data over port 80. so we wrote a genericservlet to capture this data on GAE. • internet explorer 7 iframe unloads when going back

  Hi this is my first post here, so please be kind ;-) i'm implementing a browser history manager, just like rsh or yui browser history manager. The idea was not to constantly poll the url hash of a hidden iframe, but to capture the onscroll event of an iframe, when it scrolls to an anchor name on an urlhashchange. So on every click i add an new anchor to iframe and set the iframe's hash to the anchors name. When pressing the back or forward button the frame scrolls to the previous or next anchor and the onscroll event is fired. That works great on firefox 3.0+, IE6 and Opera but on IE7 when hiting the back button the frame unloads and loses all its anchors. • Need help with this Regex + UrlRewriter.NET please :)

  Previously, on StackOverflow ... (Summarized) I need to capture all requests, for a particluar subdomain .. and rewrite their destination. Now, the trick to determining the host via regex was solved. Now, i need to make sure all requests to the root index page is rewritten, but i can't figure out the correct regex to find the 'homepage' / website root. this is what i have.... <if header="HTTP_HOST" match="^foo\.mydomain\.com\.au(?::\d+)?/?$"> <!-- snip some other rewrites, eg./buying/product -> ~/Pages/Foo/Bar.aspx --> <rewrite url="^/$" to="~/Pages/SomeWeirdFolder/Home.aspx" processing="stop"/> </if> Now if one of the rewrites were not found, then it falls through and continues. So .. can anyone please help?

• To decide where to crop an image, how can I highlight it's most compressible areas?

  I'm looking to get the most compression out of each of the most popular image formats, such as, JPEG, PNG, GIF, etc. Ideally, this would be a tool, or a series of transforms that could be performed (perhaps using a macro and then discarded) in popular image editors (Paint.NET/PaintShopPro/PhotoShop/GIMP) to highlight areas which will compress less. Alternatively, what rules of thumb can be used other than reducing colours (for PNG/GIF), reducing image dimensions, avoiding high detail areas... I'm not asking for help deciding what format to use for a particular image type as I think this is fairly common knowledge, i.e. diagram and images with few colours = PNG/GIF, photographs = JPEG.

  Hi, Not coming from the windows world, I'm confused about licensing. I think my knowledge may be out of date. Before we gave up with windows web servers (IIS 2), we used to have to pay Client Access licence's. This worked out quite expensive. Is it cheaper to host 1000's of users on Windows than use Free open source software tools? http://serverfault.com/questions/124329/network-load-balancing-efficience-and-limits. This post suggests I can pay $15 a month, for unlimited users. I certainly hope that this is unbiased view, I am a professional and use the right technology for the right job. I hope i am not feeling the wrath of a windows (or linux for that matter) fanboy. Perhaps a Microsoft certified Licensing person can clear this up. Should i be recommending to startups windows servers and products over lamp? Cheers!

• Why does A* path finding sometimes go in straight lines and sometimes diagonals? (Java)

  I'm not very fluent with SQL Server commands. I need a script to restore a database from a .bak file and move the logical_data and logical_log files to a specific path. I can do: restore filelistonly from disk='D:\backups\my_backup.bak' This will give me a result set with a column LogicalName, next I need to use the logical names from the result set in the restore command: restore database my_db_name from disk='d:\backups\my_backups.bak' with file=1, move 'logical_data_file' to 'd:\data\mydb.mdf', move 'logical_log_file' to 'd:\data\mylog.ldf' How do I capture the logical names from the first result set into variables that can be supplied to the "move" command? I think the solution might be trivial, but I'm pretty new to SQL Server.

Admins will enter the data, users will be able to view it, but I also need to be able to bolt on some statistics and infographics to the data. The problem I have is that I can't see any simple way of doing this within Drupal. Sure, I could use Eclipse to handle the replacing, but this leaves out the folders or resources outside of my workspace. I was thinking of a script that could do the job for me but this seems rather tricky. For instance when it comes to folder-/file-rename I want to replace only the part of the name that matches my string, the rest should remain untouched.   I have some survey data which I'm using Stata to analyze. I want to compute means of one variable by group and save those means to a Stata file. My code looks like this: svyset [iw=wtsupp], sdrweight(repwtp1-repwtp160) vce(sdr) svy: mean x I tried svy: by grp: mean x but that did not work. I could save each mean to a separate file by simply saying svy: mean x if grp==1 but that's inefficient. Is there a better way? Saving results to a file like one can use SAS ODS to capture results is also a need. I am not talking about the log here. I need the means and the associated group. I'm thinking estimates save [path],replace but I'm not sure if that will give me a Stata file or the group if I can figure out how to use by processing.
