    Is there a way to query different databases based on the value of a column in the query? Say for example you have the following columns: id part_id attr_id attr_value_ext attr_value_int You then run a query and if the attr_id is '1' is returns the attr_value_int column but if attr_id is greater than '1' it joins data from another table based on the attr_value_ext.

I'm after a package that provides the basic CMS features that I can build on for a wide range of purposes. I've heard of PHPcake, Drupal ect but I don't know enough about these to make an informed decision. What alternatives are there? Are they OO, MVC, producedual?     Is mysql_real_escape_string sufficient for cleaning user input in most situations? ::EDIT:: I'm thinking mostly in terms of preventing SQL injection but I ultimately want to know if I can trust user data after I apply mysql_real_escape_string or if I should take extra measures to clean the data before I pass it around the application and databases. I see where cleaning for HTML chars is important but I wouldn't consider it necessary for trusting user input. T

    When attempting to use HttpWebRequest to retrieve a page from my dev server, I get a web exception: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel." The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure... The url I'm attempting to read from is a plain-old http://myserver.com/mypage.asp - no SSL. The production server has a valid certificate so this shouldn't be an issue, but our dev server doesn't. Help!

    Hi When used at site level, the IIS7 URL Rewrite 2 module saves its configuration in the web.config file of that site. I'm using Sitecore CMS, and best practice is to store any web.config customisations in a separate config file for ease of upgrading, staging/production setups etc. Is there any way to specify a different config file for IIS7 redirects? I know that application-level rewrites are stored in ApplicationHost.config, but I have several sites running on the server and would like to keep them separated. Thanks, Adam

    Our application needs to use two different kinds of databases.One is oracle, the other is mysql and we want to use maven plugin hbm2ddl to generate the ddl file, and want to output the two ddl files at the same time, I don't know how to set the configuration in pom.xml. I tried to use this plugin twice, but it always generated one ddl file. Any one encountered such case before ? could u please give some advice.
