    Can I hide user account from Windows 7 welcome screen, without changing registry manually and without disabling the account? I've done this once by following instructions on a website, now I cant find that site. As I can remember I opened a window by executing a command in "Run". There was a list of user accounts in opened window, then selected a user account and unchecked some option then the user account was gone from welcome screen.. Does anyone aware of this method?

I am aware that it does not delete data but pointers to it, so I wonder if it is possible that virus activates from that data? Thanks

    Windows 8 setup asks for the product key at the beginning of the setup without letting you install it. I got the Windows 8 ISO from MSDN but I didn't get enough keys to install it on all my 7 computers. Also, my MSDN subscription level doesn't allow me to get the VL product key to Windows 8 Enterprise. Is there any way I can install Windows 8 for a limited time period like we used to do for Windows 7 ?

  • How do you install an iTunes Visualizer in Windows 7?

    How do you install any visualizer other than the default visualizer that ships with iTunes 10 in Windows 7. I've tried placing qtz files in my C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins folder and restarting iTunes, but of course no other visualizers can be selected. Common visualizers that I would like to install include those found here I'm of course aware that some of these are Mac OS only due to library dependencies - I would still like to know if it's possible to install any visualizer other than the default for iTunes in Windows 7

    Details I recently upgraded to Windows 8 Enterprise trial. After installing, I downloaded the Nvidia Windows 8 x64 install package, and it installed fine. After rebooting I got a message stating that SLI was disabled. And in the configuration menu the option to enable SLI is grayed out. I have confirmed the SLI is connected properly. Any thoughts?     Is there a Hyper-V virtual machine client for XP? Linux? Mac? I'm aware that we could VNC or RDP into the virtual machine but the problem is if the VM is not running or is suspend the end user can't start it and IT needs to get involved. I guess what I'm looking for is something like VMconnect.exe that runs on xp or linux. Or, If I am totally barking up the wrong tree let me know. ;-)

  • Does Chrome have a quick find shortcut similar to ' in Firefox?

    I absolutely lived on the ' shortcut in Firefox, which allows you to do a find that applies to text links, and it focuses on them so you can hit Enter and proceed to that link. Chrome only has ctrl-f which focuses on links as well, but you have to ESC out and then hit Enter, which is not as immediate as the Firefox shortcut. Is anyone aware of a Chrome shortcut that replicates this functionality? Or is there some hidden shortcut/key that does this in Chrome which I'm simply unaware of?

    We have a very specific use case for an application we're developing, where a user will be presented with a PDF document, which they can print off. However, we need to be able to restrict the PDF so it can only be printed off once. Does anyone know if there's a way to restrict the number of times a PDF can be printed. I'm aware the PDF spec has lots of security features, but I've not found reference to anything like this before. Many thank.

    I've tried to find a work around for this, but most of my searches end up in people who can't use the find-on-this-page feature at all in IE8. It appears for me, but for some reason takes forever to find things on a text heavy page, often making IE completely un-usable for several minutes. I thought I was the only one, but other people in my office have noticed it as well. Is anyone aware of a work around?
