  • ASP.NET MVC tries to load older version of Owin assembly

    - by d_mcg
As a bit of context, I'm developing an ASP.NET MVC 5 application that uses OAuth-based authentication via Microsoft's OWIN implementation, for Facebook and Google only at this stage. Currently (as of v3.0.0, git-commit 4932c2f), the FacebookAuthenticationOptions and GoogleOAuth2AuthenticationOptions don't provide any property to force Facebook nor Google respectively to reauthenticate users (via appending the appropriate query string parameters) when signing in. Initially, I set out to override the following classes: FacebookAuthenticationOptions GoogleOAuth2AuthenticationOptions FacebookAuthenticationHandler (specifically AuthenticateCoreAsync()) GoogleOAuth2AuthenticationHandler (specifically AuthenticateCoreAsync()) yet discovered that the ~AuthenticationHandler classes are marked as internal. So I pulled a copy of the source for the Katana project (http://katanaproject.codeplex.com/) and modified the source accordingly. After compiling, I found that there are several dependencies that needed updating in order to use these updated assemblies (Microsoft.Owin.Security.Facebook and Microsoft.Owin.Security.Google) in the MVC project: Microsoft.Owin Microsoft.Owin.Security Microsoft.Owin.Security.Cookies Microsoft.Owin.Security.OAuth Microsoft.Owin.Host.SystemWeb This was done by replacing the existing project references to the 3.0.0 versions and updating those in web.config. Good news: the project compiles successfully. In debugging, I received an exception on startup: An exception of type 'System.IO.FileLoadException' occurred in [MVC web assembly].dll but was not handled in user code Additional information: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Owin.Security, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) The underlying exception indicated that Microsoft.AspNet.Identity.Owin was trying to load v2.1.0 of Microsoft.Owin.Security when calling app.UseExternalSignInCookie() from Startup.ConfigureAuth(IAppBuilder app) in Startup.Auth.cs. Unfortunately that assembly (and its other dependency, Microsoft.AspNet.Identity.Owin) aren't part of the Project Katana solution, and I can't find any accessible repository for these assemblies online. Are the Microsoft.AspNet.Identity assemblies open source, like the Katana project? Is there a way to fool those assemblies to use the referenced v3.0.0 assemblies instead of v2.1.0? The /bin folder contains the 3.0.0 versions of the Owin assemblies. I've upgraded the NuGet packages for Microsoft.AspNet.Identity.Owin, and this is still an issue. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

  • Tutorials and libraries for OpenGL-ES games on Android

    - by user197141
What tutorials and libraries are available which can help beginners to develop 2D and 3D games on Android using OpenGL-ES? I'm looking for tutorials which can help me learn OpenGL-ES, and I'm looking for OpenGL-ES libraries which can make life easier for beginners in OpenGL-ES. Since Android is still small, I guess it may be help-full to read iPhone OpenGL-ES tutorials as well, as I suppose the OpenGL-ES functionality is much the same. I have found the following useful information which I would have liked to share: Android tutorials: Basic tutorial covering polygons, no textures anddev forum with some tutorials Other Android OpenGL-ES information: Google IO lecture regarding games, not much OpenGLES The The Khronos Reference Manual is also relevant to have, but its not exactly the best place to start. iPhone OpenGL-ES tutorials (where the OpenGl-ES information is probably useful): http://web.me.com/smaurice/AppleCoder/iPhone_OpenGL/Archive.html http://iphonedevelopment.blogspot.com/2009/05/opengl-es-from-ground-up-table-of.html As for libraries which a beginner might use to get a simpler hands-on experience with OpenGL-ES, I have only found Rokon, which is recently started, thus has many holes and bugs. And it's gnuGPL licensed (at the moment) which means it cannot be used, if we wish to sell our games. What else is out there?

  • Binding Image.Source to String in WPF ?

    - by Mohammad
    I have below XAML code : <Window x:Class="WpfApplication1.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" DataContext="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource Self}}" WindowStartupLocation="CenterScreen" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <Grid> <Image x:Name="TestImage" Source="{Binding Path=ImageSource}" /> </Grid> </Window> Also, there is a method that makes an Image from a Base64 string : Image Base64StringToImage(string base64ImageString) { try { byte[] b; b = Convert.FromBase64String(base64ImageString); MemoryStream ms = new System.IO.MemoryStream(b); System.Drawing.Image img = System.Drawing.Image.FromStream(ms); ////////////////////////////////////////////// //convert System.Drawing.Image to WPF image System.Drawing.Bitmap bmp = new System.Drawing.Bitmap(img); IntPtr hBitmap = bmp.GetHbitmap(); System.Windows.Media.ImageSource imageSource = System.Windows.Interop.Imaging.CreateBitmapSourceFromHBitmap(hBitmap, IntPtr.Zero, Int32Rect.Empty, BitmapSizeOptions.FromEmptyOptions()); Image wpfImage = new Image(); wpfImage.Source = imageSource; wpfImage.Width = wpfImage.Height = 16; ////////////////////////////////////////////// return wpfImage; } catch { Image img1 = new Image(); img1.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(@"/passwordManager;component/images/TreeView/empty-bookmark.png", UriKind.Relative)); img1.Width = img1.Height = 16; return img1; } } Now, I'm gonna bind TestImage to the output of Base64StringToImage method. I've used the following way : public string ImageSource { get; set; } ImageSource = Base64StringToImage("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").Source.ToString(); but nothing happen. How can I fix it ? BTW, I'm dead sure that the base64 string is correct

  • How do I get Lucene (.NET) to highlight correctly with wildcards?

    - by Scott Stafford
I am using the Lucene.NET API directly in my ASP.NET/C# web application. When I search using a wildcard, like "fuc*", the highlighter doesn't highlight anything, but when I search for the whole word, like "fuchsia", it highlights fine. Does Lucene have the ability to highlight using the same logic it used to match with? Various maybe-relevant code-snippets below: var formatter = new Lucene.Net.Highlight.SimpleHTMLFormatter( "<span class='srhilite'>", "</span>"); var fragmenter = new Lucene.Net.Highlight.SimpleFragmenter(100); var scorer = new Lucene.Net.Highlight.QueryScorer(query); var highlighter = new Lucene.Net.Highlight.Highlighter(formatter, scorer); highlighter.SetTextFragmenter(fragmenter); and then on each hit... string description = Server.HtmlEncode(doc.Get("Description")); var stream = analyzer.TokenStream("Description", new System.IO.StringReader(description)); string highlighted_text = highlighter.GetBestFragments( stream, description, 1, "..."); And I'm using the QueryParser and the StandardAnalyzer.

  • BinaryWrite exception "OutputStream is not available when a custom TextWriter is used" in MVC 2 ASP.

    - by Grant
Hi, I have a view rendering a stream using the response BinaryWrite method. This all worked fine under ASP.NET 4 using the Beta 2 but throws this exception in the RC release: "HttpException" , "OutputStream is not available when a custom TextWriter is used." <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> <%@ Import Namespace="System.IO" %> <script runat="server"> protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (ViewData["Error"] == null) { Response.Buffer = true; Response.Clear(); Response.ContentType = ViewData["DocType"] as string; Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", ViewData["Disposition"] as string); Response.CacheControl = "No-cache"; MemoryStream stream = ViewData["DocAsStream"] as MemoryStream; Response.BinaryWrite(stream.ToArray()); Response.Flush(); Response.Close(); } } </script> </script> The view is generated from a client side redirect (jquery replace location call in the previous page using Url.Action helper to render the link of course). This is all in an iframe. Anyone have an idea why this occurs?

  • Why can't I resolve ambiguity with Android.OS.Environment?

    - by C. Lang
I'm trying to use Environment.(...) in my Xamarin app. It complains that "Environment is an ambiguous reference between System.Environment and Android.OS.Environment" I can fix it by using the fully qualified name System.Environment.(...) but not with Android.OS.Environment.(...). For example: // Obviously ambiguous with error above using System; using Android.OS; // ... // OnCreate uses Bundle also in Android.OS //... string path = Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal); // Can be fixed by prefixing Environment with "System." But I can't fix it with any variation of possibilities using Android.OS including removing it and explicitly using it. The auto-complete box only shows the Activities and "Resource" and not any of the classes. // Solution to be able to use Android's Environment using Android.OS; // same as above Java.IO.File storageDir = Environment.ExternalStorageDirectory; // Defaults to Android.OS but can still use "System.Environment.(...) // Of course not with this example, but with the one above; yes. // Why doesn't it work both ways? If I remove the using statement and // try to use Android.OS.Environment.(...) it complains // 'OS type or namespace doesn't not exist' The reason is prefixing with Android. is referring to MyAppName.App.Android. Why is that and is there a way to directly access Android.OS.(...)? I've tried Mono.Android.OS.(...).

  • .NET: Can I use DataContractJsonSerializer to serialize to a JSON associative array?

    - by Cheeso
When using DataContractJsonSerializer to serialize a dictionary, like so: [CollectionDataContract] public class Clazz : Dictionary<String,String> {} .... var c1 = new Clazz(); c1["Red"] = "Rosso"; c1["Blue"] = "Blu"; c1["Green"] = "Verde"; Serializing c1 with this code: var dcjs = new DataContractJsonSerializer(c1.GetType()); var json = new Func<String>(() => { using (var ms = new System.IO.MemoryStream()) { dcjs.WriteObject(ms, c1); return Encoding.ASCII.GetString(ms.ToArray()); } })(); ...produces this JSON: [{"Key":"Red","Value":"Rosso"}, {"Key":"Blue","Value":"Blu"}, {"Key":"Green","Value":"Verde"}] But, this isn't a Javascript associative array. If I do the corresponding thing in javascript: produce a dictionary and then serialize it, like so: var a = {}; a["Red"] = "Rosso"; a["Blue"] = "Blu"; a["Green"] = "Verde"; // use utility class from http://www.JSON.org/json2.js var json = JSON.stringify(a); The result is: {"Red":"Rosso","Blue":"Blu","Green":"Verde"} How can I get DCJS to produce or consume a serialized string for a dictionary, that is compatible with JSON2.js ? I know about JavaScriptSerializer from ASP.NET. Not sure if it's very WCF friendly. Does it respect DataMember, DataContract attributes?

  • Java: immutable Stack?

    - by HH
I chose to use Stacks and Tables before knowing Collections has immutable empty things only for Set, Map and List. Because the size of table does not change after its init: Integer[] table = new Intger[0] I can use the zero-witdh table as an empty table. But I cannot use final or empty Stack to get immutable Stack: No immutability to Stack with Final import java.io.*; import java.util.*; public class TestStack{ public static void main(String[] args) { final Stack<Integer> test = new Stack<Integer>(); Stack<Integer> test2 = new Stack<Integer>(); test.push(37707); test2.push(80437707); //WHY is there not an error to remove an elment // from FINAL stack? System.out.println(test.pop()); System.out.println(test2.pop()); } } Java Api 5 for list interface shows that Stack is an implementing class for list and arraylist, here. The java.coccurrent pkg does not have any immutable Stack data structure. From Stack to some immutable data structure How to get immutable Stack data structure? Can I box it with list? Should I switch my current implementatios from stacks to Lists to get immutable? Which immutable data structure is Very fast with about similar exec time as Stack?

  • Location of Java dump heap file?

    - by Jim Ferrans
Well this is embarrassing ... I'm starting to play with the Eclipse Memory Analyzer to look for Java memory leaks on a Windows box. Step 1 is to obtain a heap dump file. To do this< I start my Java (javaw.exe) process from within Eclipse and connect to it with jconsole. Then on the jconsole MBeans tab I click the dumpHeap button. The first time I did this, I saw a pop-up saying it had created the heap dump file, but not giving its name or location. Now whenever I do a dumpHeap again while connected to a different javaw.exe process, jconsole says: Problem invoking dumpHeap : java.io.IOException: File exists and of course doesn't give its name or path. Where could it be? I've searched my C: drive (using cygwin command line tools) for files containing "hprof" or "java_pid" or "heapdump" and didn't find anything plausible. I've even used the Windows search to look for all files in my Eclipse workspace that have changed in the last day. I'm using the Sun Java 1.6 JVM, and don't have -XX:HeapDumpPath set.

This came to my mind after I learned the following from this question: where T : struct We, C# developers, all know the basics of C#. • Logging Into a site that uses Live.com authentication with C#

    - by Josh
I've been trying to automate a log in to a website I frequent, www.bungie.net. The site is associated with Microsoft and Xbox Live, and as such makes uses of the Windows Live ID API when people log in to their site. I am relatively new to creating web spiders/robots, and I worry that I'm misunderstanding some of the most basic concepts. I've simulated logins to other sites such as Facebook and Gmail, but live.com has given me nothing but trouble. Anyways, I've been using Wireshark and the Firefox addon Tamper Data to try and figure out what I need to post, and what cookies I need to include with my requests. As far as I know these are the steps one must follow to log in to this site. 1. Visit https: //login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1268167141&rver=5.5.4177.0&wp=LBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fwww.bungie.net%2FDefault.aspx&id=42917 2. Recieve the cookies MSPRequ and MSPOK. 3. Post the values from the form ID "PPSX", the values from the form ID "PPFT", your username, your password all to a changing URL similar to: https: //login.live.com/ppsecure/post.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct= (there are a few numbers that change at the end of that URL) 4. Live.com returns the user a page with more hidden forms to post. The client then posts the values from the form "ANON", the value from the form "ANONExp" and the values from the form "t" to the URL: http ://www.bung ie.net/Default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0 5. After posting that data, the user is returned a variety of cookies the most important of which is "BNGAuth" which is the log in cookie for the site. Where I am having trouble is on fifth step, but that doesn't neccesarily mean I've done all the other steps correctly. I post the data from "ANON", "ANONExp" and "t" but instead of being returned a BNGAuth cookie, I'm returned a cookie named "RSPMaybe" and redirected to the home page. When I review the Wireshark log, I noticed something that instantly stood out to me as different between the log when I logged in with Firefox and when my program ran. It could be nothing but I'll include the picture here for you to review. I'm being returned an HTTP packet from the site before I post the data in the fourth step. I'm not sure how this is happening, but it must be a side effect from something I'm doing wrong in the HTTPS steps. ![alt text][1] http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/6049/31394881.gif using System; using System.Collections.Generic; • AndroMDA maven code generation and JPA Annotations

    - by ArsenioM
I am using the AndroMDA plugin for maven to generate code from an uml diagram made in MagicDraw. When the code is generated, AndroMDA desings the JPA annotation for the persitence layer. I think that at the compilation process AndroMDA uses Naming Strategies to determine the Table and Column names for the DataBase. I want to determine how AndroMDA desings this JPA annotations, because I need to display this DataBase names based on the UML entity and atributtes names. I was regarding if there is an API of AndroMDA that I could use to do this by giving it the uml diagram. Or at least, to know the Naming Strategies used by AndroMDA to achive that. AndroMDA at the compilation process design the JPA annotations for the Entities, Attributes, etc that are written in my java classes under a series of rules that exist within the EJB3 cartridge of AndroMDA. (The further Database is created using those JPA annotations). I want to create a program that returns me the same Table and Attributes names wrote on the JPA annotations, by giving it the .xml file of the uml diagram of a project. I was hoping that I could take advantage of the EJB3 cartridge to generate those Tables and Attribute names with my program. One way could be using an API of AndroMDA that do this(if it exits), or at least, by implementing the same rules used by the EJB3 cartridge for that matter. To be more illustrative, For example: If in my uml model I have an Entity called “CompanyGroup”, AndroMDA would generate the following code for the class definition: @javax.persistence.Entity @javax.persistence.Table(name = "COMPANY_GR") Public class CompanyGroup implements java.io.Serializable, Comparable< CompanyGroup This is just an example (not a real case), but nevertheless, the way how AndroMDA do the translation from “CompanyGroup” to “COMPANY_GR” has to be specified somewhere. Hope this explanation is useful enough. Thanks.

  • FileNotFoundException when running WiX CustomAction with COMAdmin interop

    - by dabcabc
I am trying to create a WiX custom action which will allow me to shutdown and clear down a COM+ package as part of an upgrade installation, or create and configure a new COM+ package as part of the initial installation. I previously had this running as a CustomAction within a standard Visual Studio MSI but this only allows the custom action to be executed after the files have been copied - which will fail as the package will still be running. The COMAdmin.dll has been added as a reference to the CustomAction project and is set CopyLocal=true. In the bin folder for the custom action project the Interop.COMAdmin.dll is present. The answer to this question seems to suggest that it should work. I am getting the following exception within the MSI log when trying to install: MSI (s) (C4:04) [10:40:34:205]: Invoking remote custom action. • Java Runtime.getRuntime().exec() alternatives

    - by twilbrand
I have a collection of webapps that are running under tomcat. Tomcat is configured to have as much as 2 GB of memory using the -Xmx argument. Many of the webapps need to perform a task that ends up making use of the following code: Runtime runtime = Runtime.getRuntime(); Process process = runtime.exec(command); process.waitFor(); ... The issue we are having is related to the way that this "child-process" is getting created on Linux (Redhat 4.4 and Centos 5.4). It's my understanding that an amount of memory equal to the amount tomcat is using needs to be free in the pool of physical (non-swap) system memory initially for this child process to be created. When we don't have enough free physical memory, we are getting this: java.io.IOException: error=12, Cannot allocate memory at java.lang.UNIXProcess.<init>(UNIXProcess.java:148) at java.lang.ProcessImpl.start(ProcessImpl.java:65) at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(ProcessBuilder.java:452) ... 28 more My questions are: 1) Is it possible to remove the requirement for an amount of memory equal to the parent process being free in the physical memory? I'm looking for an answer that allows me to specify how much memory the child process gets or to allow java on linux to access swap memory. 2) What are the alternatives to Runtime.getRuntime().exec() if no solution to #1 exists? I could only think of two, neither of which is very desirable. JNI (very un-desirable) or rewriting the program we are calling in java and making it it's own process that the webapp communicates with somehow. There has to be others. 3) Is there another side to this problem that I'm not seeing that could potentially fix it? Lowering the amount of memory used by tomcat is not an option. Increasing the memory on the server is always an option, but seems like more a band-aid. Servers are running java 6.

  • Logging Into a site that uses Live.com authentication

I use Ububtu server distro, WLS 9.2MP3 + ALSB. Everything works OK, quite fast, but at the start time the WLS stops twice for a measurable amounts of time. Two stops in total amount to about 10 minutes delay. For tasks where deployment requires server restart it's very annoying. :-( Sleeping time is not constant, sometimes the server starts very fast, sometimes so-so, sometimes 10 minutes or more. Interesting that if I press Enter while looking at the stopped server, it wakes up much faster, sometimes after a few seconds. WLST (Weblogic Jython shell) is also hanging for quite a time when executed in VM. It doesn't react to Enter though. Here must be some developers who run WLS with a VM. I wonder if others have the same problem? Was someone able to solve it? Here's the server output (just for a case): Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_12-b04) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_12-b04, mixed mode) Starting WLS with line: /shared2/beahome/jdk150_12/bin/java -client -Xmx256m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=/shared2/beahome/weblogic92 -Dwls.home=/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/server -Dwli.home=/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/integration -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwl w.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testConsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=/shared2/beahome/patch_weblogic923/profiles/default/sysext_ manifest_classpath -Dweblogic.management.username=admin -Dweblogic.management.password=wlsadmin -Dweblogic.Name=LOGMGR-admin -Djava.security .policy=/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/server/lib/weblogic.policy weblogic.Server <1-Apr-2010 12:47:22 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000395> <Following extensions directory contents added to the end of the classpath: /shared2/beahome/weblogic92/platform/lib/p13n/p13n-schemas.jar:/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/platform/lib/p13n/p13n_common.jar:/shared2/beahom e/weblogic92/platform/lib/p13n/p13n_system.jar:/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/platform/lib/wlp/netuix_common.jar:/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/pl atform/lib/wlp/netuix_schemas.jar:/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/platform/lib/wlp/netuix_system.jar:/shared2/beahome/weblogic92/platform/lib/wl p/wsrp-common.jar> <1-Apr-2010 12:47:22 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Info> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000377> <Starting WebLogic Server with Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM Ve rsion 1.5.0_12-b04 from Sun Microsystems Inc.> <1-Apr-2010 12:47:23 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Info> <Management> <BEA-141107> <Version: WebLogic Server 9.2 MP3 Mon Mar 10 08:28:41 EDT 2008 1096261 > <1-Apr-2010 12:47:25 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Info> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000215> <Loaded License : /shared2/beahome/license.bea> <1-Apr-2010 12:47:25 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server state changed to STARTING> <1-Apr-2010 12:47:25 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Info> <WorkManager> <BEA-002900> <Initializing self-tuning thread pool> <1-Apr-2010 12:47:25 o'clock PM GMT-05:00> <Notice> <Log Management> <BEA-170019> <The server log file /shared2/wldomains/beaadmd/LOGMGR/ser vers/LOGMGR-admin/logs/LOGMGR-admin.log is opened. SecureRandom by default uses /dev/urandom file. For some reason, reading this file under VM comes to halt quite often. Generating console events helps to create more randomness, and release the WLS. For the test purposes I have changed jre/lib/security/java.security file, property to securerandom.source=file:/tmp/big.random.file. Weblogic now starts in 15 seconds.

  • Setting the Classpath and Accessing code from book: Programming Clojure

    - by user130153
(I posted this same question on the Clojure list but haven't got an answer yet. Is anyone here ready to help?) I am going through Programming Clojure and I recently downloaded the code from the books official website. For other utils I can do, for example, (require 'clojure.contrib.str-utils) and it works. But how do I load code from the book? (require 'examples.introduction) throws the following exception: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Could not locate examples/ introduction__init.class or examples/introduction.clj on classpath: (NO_SOURCE_FILE:0) [Thrown class clojure.lang.Compiler$CompilerException] Here is the full backtrace: Backtrace: 0: clojure.lang.Compiler.eval(Compiler.java:4543) 1: clojure.core$eval__3990.invoke(core.clj:1728) 2: swank.commands.basic$eval_region__686.invoke(basic.clj:36) 3: swank.commands.basic$listener_eval__695.invoke(basic.clj:50) 4: clojure.lang.Var.invoke(Var.java:346) 5: user$eval__1200.invoke(NO_SOURCE_FILE) 6: clojure.lang.Compiler.eval(Compiler.java:4532) 7: clojure.core$eval__3990.invoke(core.clj:1728) 8: swank.core$eval_in_emacs_package__307.invoke(core.clj:55) 9: swank.core$eval_for_emacs__384.invoke(core.clj:123) 10: clojure.lang.Var.invoke(Var.java:354) 11: clojure.lang.AFn.applyToHelper(AFn.java:179) 12: clojure.lang.Var.applyTo(Var.java:463) 13: clojure.core$apply__3243.doInvoke(core.clj:390) 14: clojure.lang.RestFn.invoke(RestFn.java:428) 15: swank.core$eval_from_control__310.invoke(core.clj:62) 16: swank.core$eval_loop__313.invoke(core.clj:67) 17: swank.core$spawn_repl_thread__445$fn__476$fn__478.invoke(core.clj: 173) 18: clojure.lang.AFn.applyToHelper(AFn.java:171) 19: clojure.lang.AFn.applyTo(AFn.java:164) 20: clojure.core$apply__3243.doInvoke(core.clj:390) 21: clojure.lang.RestFn.invoke(RestFn.java:428) 22: swank.core$spawn_repl_thread__445$fn__476.doInvoke(core.clj:170) 23: clojure.lang.RestFn.invoke(RestFn.java:402) 24: clojure.lang.AFn.run(AFn.java:37) 25: java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) I am trying both Clojure Box and Enclojure in NetBeans on Windows XP. Is it a classpath issue? Where should I place the folder that contains code from the book? Please help me out with my variable enviroment settings as well.

  • Asynchronous HTTP Client for Java

    - by helifreak
    As a relative newbie in the Java world, I am finding many things frustratingly obtuse to accomplish that are relatively trivial in many other frameworks. A primary example is a simple solution for asynchronous http requests. Seeing as one doesn't seem to already exist, what is the best approach? Creating my own threads using a blocking type lib like httpclient or the built-in java http stuff, or should I use the newer non-blocking io java stuff - it seems particularly complex for something which should be simple. What I am looking for is something easy to use from a developer point of view - something similar to URLLoader in AS3 - where you simply create a URLRequest - attach a bunch of event handlers to handle the completion, errors, progress, etc, and call a method to fire it off. If you are not familiar with URLLoader in AS3, its so super easy and looks something like this: private void getURL(String url) { URLLoader loader = new URLLoader(); loader.addEventListener(Event.Complete, completeHandler); loader.addEventListener(HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_STATUS, httpStatusHandler); loader.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioErrorHandler); URLRequest request = new URLRequest(url); // fire it off - this is asynchronous so we handle // completion with event handlers loader.load(request); } private void completeHandler(Event event) { URLLoader loader = (URLLoader)event.target; Object results = loader.data; // process results } private void httpStatusHandler(Event event) { // check status code } private void ioErrorHandler(Event event) { // handle errors }
