  • magento override sort order of product list by subcategories

    I'm setting up a new store using 1.4.1 I'm trying sort the products in the list by the subcategories they belong to. At the top of list.phtml is $_productCollection=$this->getLoadedProductCollection(); I tried adding sort filters to that by adding the line $_productCollection->setOrder('category_ids', 'asc')->setOrder('name', 'asc'); I also tried addAttributeToSort instead of setOrder. This doesn't seem to have any effect. I'm guessing that $_productCollection is not a model I can sort in this manner. I have been digging around trying to find the correct place to apply the sort method without any success. Can someone tell me the proper place to do this?

  • $("body").scrollTop() doesn't update in safari

    I'm working on a website: http://beta.projektopia.se/ the body has several background-images that are updated on scroll like this: $(document).ready(function(){ $(document).scroll(function(){ var scrollfactor=$("body").scrollTop()*0.2; var centerscrollpos =scrollfactor+613; var docheight = $(document).height(); var windowheight = $(window).height(); var bottompos = (docheight-980)-((docheight-windowheight)*0.2)+scrollfactor; var scrollpos = 'center '+scrollfactor+'px,center '+bottompos+'px, center '+ centerscrollpos+'px,center 0px'; $("body").css("background-position", scrollpos); }); }); Lots of calculations, but the important thing is that a scrollpos is created that should change the position of the background when you scroll, to create a parallax-effect. It works great in chrome, but in firefox, the variable scrollfactor, that is suppose to get the current scroll-position, doesn't update. ps, some people have this issue due to lack of correct doctype. I believe i have declared it correctly like this: <!DOCTYPE html>

  • Accessing FILESTREAM from an SQL CLR assembly

    I'm trying to stream FILESTREAM data from an unsafe SQL CLR assembly. The connection string is Data Source=LAPTOP2\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=test;Integrated Security=True;Enlist=False When creating a new SqlFileStream (inside a SqlTransaction, of course), I'm getting: The request is not supported at OpenSqlFilestream. So I decided to try native OpenSqlFilestream, but then I'm getting an invalid handle (-1) while GetLastWin32Error returns that same: The request is not supported (ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED). I have also tried SqlContext.WindowsIdentity.Impersonate() with no apparent effect. I couldn't find any documentation referencing this restriction. Is it really unsupported? If it is unsupported, is there a good reason? Does anyone know of a workaround?

    If you install the latest java 1.6 jdk, without installing the public jre option, you end up having two \bin dirs with java.exe: %JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin %JAVA_HOME%\bin if you compare those dirs, there are a few files that are identical (java.exe etc), and a bunch that are either in one or the other. So far I used to add %JAVA_HOME%\bin to my Path environment var, but now I am wondering, does it make a difference? Is there any side effect to choose one or the other? And would not be much cleaner if the installation had only one java.exe and \bin folder?

    I'm starting out in the world of SpecFlow and I have come across my first problem. In terms of keeping my code DRY I'd like to do the following: Have two scenarios: Given I am on a product page And myfield equals todays date Then... Given I am on a product page And myfield equals todays date plus 4 days Then... I was hoping to use the following Step Definition to cover both variants of my And clause: [Given(@"myfield equals todays date(?: (plus|minus) (\d+) days)?")] public void MyfieldEqualsTodaysDate(string direction, int? days) { //do stuff } However I keep getting exceptions when SpecFlow tries to parse the int? param. I've checked the regular expression and it definitely parses the scenario as expected. I'm aware that I could so something as crude as method overloading etc, I was just wondering if SpecFlow supported the idea of default parameter values, or indeed another way to achieve the same effect.   • Create an Edit view similar to Contacts App

    I have an edit view in my app which is a instance of UITableViewController and contains one cell with a textfield in a grouped table. At the moment this cell is at the top of the screen and is firstResponder so they keyboard is visible as well. But in all the Apples apps like the Contacts App when you edit a piece of information like an Email it buts both of its rows in the middle between the Nav Bar and the Keyboard not at the top of the screen.   • How do I propagate an exception thrown by croak in forked child to parent/foreground process?

    Throwing an exception via croak in a forked child process seems to print the error as a background process would. That is, it clobbers the shell prompt. If I die instead of croak, the the error message pops up as a foreground process. I've trying to find out why that is in the Carp documentation without any luck. Here's what I mean. The croak version: $ perl Wrapper.pm $ error: ... does not exist at Wrapper.pm line 624 The die version: $ perl Wrapper.pm error: ... does not exist at Wrapper.pm line 515. I tried trapping the fork and printing $@ to STDERR and exiting, but that didn't have an effect. Any ideas? I'd like to be able to use croak in this particular case.

  • Jquery toggle with two elements

    I am using a toggle on a graphic to slide out a contact form. The problem is, the contact form can cover up the graphic element on low resolutions. I thought a solution would be to include a "close this" inside the form, that would use the same toggle effect. When I add the close this element to the code, instead of working in tandem with the original graphic element, it starts the chain back over, and slides the contact form even further out.     When it comes to virtualization, I have been deliberating on the relationship between the physical cores and the virtual cores, especially in how it effects applications employing parallelism. For example, in a VM scenario, if there are less physical cores than there are virtual cores, if that's possible, what's the effect or limits placed on the application's parallel processing? I'm asking, because in my environment, it's not disclosed as to what the physical architecture is. Is there still much advantage to parallelizing if the application lives on a dual core VM hosted on a single core physical machine?

So i can search by thread id but i am clue less of how to delete. I found pages that say use the document index and i need to optimize or close before changes take effect but i dont know how to get the document index. How do i? Also i seen one that said to use IndexWriter to delete but i couldnt figure out how to do it with that either.

    A scroll follow effect is when a part of the web design is always visible, even when the window is scrolled. There are animated and static versions of this. The animated is ok http://robertomartinez.info/cobra/index.html But I prefer the fixed version, however I have some bugs: http://robertomartinez.info/cobra/index_fixed.html -In Firefox, when you scroll the page, you will see a kind of vertical cut in the lorem ipsum text (below the HERE indication). This is caused by the image tiles of the map, then if you drag and drop the map, the cut will appear in another side. -In Safari, when you scroll the page, the div follows, but the map images stay in the same position. Do you have solutions for theses issues? Thanks.

    In my Java SE application I used Hibernate 3.4 and creating the SessionFactory took about 5 seconds. Today I updated to Hibernate 3.5.1 and suddenly it takes over a minute. What can be the cause of such a dramatic effect? I tried different things the better part of the day and I have no clue... Some data I collected According to the profiler the most time is spent in PersisterFactory.createClassPersister and in that method ProxyFactory.createClass takes the most time. The log shows nothing unusual Changing hibernate.bytecode.use_reflection_optimizer makes no difference

  • iPhone memory management: a release after setting self.someProperty = nil

    I am reading the LazyTableImages code that Apple have released and they do something to this effect (in an NSOperation subclass): - (void)dealloc { [myProperty release]; [myProperty2 release]; } - (void)main { // // Parse operation undertaken here // self.myProperty = nil; self.myProperty2 = nil; } My thinking is that they do this in case dealloc is called before setting properties to nil. Is my thinking correct here? Are the releases unnecessary, as self.myProperty = nil effectively releases myProperty? One thing I have noticed in this code is that they don't release all retained objects in dealloc, only some of them, which is really the cause for my confusion. Cheers

    Hi guys, I'm writing a parser for some LISP files. I'm trying to get rid of leading whitespace in a string. The string contents are along the lines of: :FUNCTION (LAMBDA (DELTA PLASMA-IN-0) (IF (OR (>= #61=(+ (* 1 DELTA) PLASMA-IN-0) 100) (<= #61# 0)) PLASMA-IN-0 #61#)) The tabs are all printed as 4 spaces in the file, so I want to get rid of these leading tabs. I tried to do this: string.replaceAll("\\s{4}", " ") - but it had no effect at all on the string. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Is it because it is a multi-line string? Thanks

  • Java Custom exception throw behaves differently between different Projects

    I am attempting to call the following in my code: public void checkParticleLightRestriction(Particle parent) throws LightException { if ( parent == null ) { throw new LightException("quantum-particle-restrict.23", this); } In one Project the exception is thrown and the effect is similar to calling "return" whereby I am returned back to the point immediately succeeding where this method was called. However in another Project I get thrown completed out of the current package and to a point way prior to the point preceeding this method. It likes instead of being kicked out of a bar I am being deported all the way out of the country. My option are the wrap the throw in a try / catch but I am wondering why this difference in behaviour beween the 2 projects ?

  • hg unshelve not working

    Our team is just getting started with Mercurial. One of the first things we've started to play with is hg shelve. Locally, I have no problem shelving changes. It all works perfectly from what I can tell. However, when I try to unshelve, I get the restoring backup files message, but when I run hg diff, there are no changes, and my changes are missing from the code. If i do hg unshelve -i I can see the diff, but again, trying to unshelve seems to have no effect. I've been trying to test it with some very simple changes that shouldn't be a problem in terms of conflicts, e.g. adding a test comment. I should note that I've tried hg unshelve -f after which it says unshelve completed but again, my changes are not restored. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? If it matters: Mercurial Distributed SCM (version 1.5.1+20100405)

How can I pass the touch event to B here?

    I'm learning Scala and I want to know the best way of expressing this imperative pattern using Scala's functional programming capabilities. def f(l: List[Int]): Boolean = { for (e <- l) { if (test(e)) return true } } return false } The best I can come up with is along the lines of: l map { e => test(e) } contains true But this is less efficient since it calls test() on each element, whereas the imperative version stops on the first element that satisfies test(). Is there a more idiomatic functional programming technique I can use to the same effect? The imperative version seems awkward in Scala.

  • How much effort does it take to spoof an Ip Address in a call to a webservice?

    I don't want to know how... Just how complicated.... I'm thinking of securing a webservice or 2 based on the incoming client ipaddress of the caller. Is this in any way secure? Surely if the IPaddress was being spoofed then the result would have to be sent back to the address that was being spoofed and therefore not reach the spoofer? Update: Ok so from what I can tell.... I should create a Gettoken() method which checks the IPaddress and passes out a cryptographically significant token with a timeout to any valid IP address. This is then required by any other method before any kind of side effect is allowed. Since an Attacker can't (likely) get the token without having a valid IP, he will be unable to validly call any of my "dangerous" webmethods ?
