    I do not understand why the dialog will not work for width in Firefox (latest version) but will in IE (latest version): dialogDiv.dialog ( { resizable: resizable, width: width, height: height, bgiframe: true, modal: true, autoOpen: false, show: 'blind' } ) No, it's not in a table..it's all tableless and I see it working fine in IE for width.

    Does anyone know how to obtain the browser culture from firefox and google chrome using javascript? Note: This is an asp.net 3.5 web application. The requirement is to try and set the applications display culture based on the browser culture. I have found very few bits and pieces of information for the other browsers but they do not seem to work.   • Adding AllowPartiallyTrustedCallersAttribute To Paypal ASP.NET SDK

    Currently, I cannot use Paypal Pro on my host (GoDaddy) because it requires Full trust level. After digging in Google, it seems a workaround is possible by adding AllowPartiallyTrustedCallersAttribute to the Paypal assembly. I have seen code samples that use AllowPartiallyTrustedCallersAttribute in their AssemblyInfo.cs file, however, I've yet to run into a code example that also happens to be using PayPal. My question is where should the AllowPartiallyTrustedCallersAttribute be added in my project if my objective is to make the PayPal assembly work? I have tried adding it to my AssemblyInfo.cs for the project that contains the entire website, but I have not been successful. At this point, any insight or shot in the dark would be greatly appreciated. Even if someone could point me in the general direction of some documentation I would be grateful.   • CorePlot linker errors after upgrading iOS SDK

    This seems like it's happened before but somehow ended up working itself out. It's happened again and I can't seem to get this fixed. I use the CorePlot Cocoa Touch framework. Everything was fine until I upgraded to the new 4.3 beta. Now my project won't compile, and is giving me linker errors for unknown symbols having to do with CorePlot. I've become a pro at adding the framework to my project, and I've checked and rechecked the instructions trying to do it again. Is there a button I can click or anything to just make this work again? I've used these instructions to try to re-add the framework, to no avail EDIT: By the way, this compiles just fine for simulator and runs graphs no problem.     Hi, I am writing firefox extension using C++. I want to set text of the span html element. In Javascript, I used 'textcontent' javascript property to set span element text. How can I do it in C++? I found nsIDOMHTMLElement interface & its child interfaces. They seem useful.   • Having trouble with event creation using the events.create API with the iPhone SDK

    I'm using the FBConnect library in my iPhone app, and I'm trying to create Facebook events. After getting a valid session and verifying permissions, I'm using events.create and getting what looks like a valid event ID back from FB in a success response. Oddly the event isn't showing up on my account's Events page either in current or in past events. I thought the problem might be that the event might not include me as an attendee so I followed the successful events.create call with an events.rsvp call to set my status to "attending". That also gets back success from FB, but I'm still not seeing anything show up. Am I missing a step? Is there something other than Create and then RSVP that I need to do, or is there an error with the api/Facebook? I don't think I'm missing any of the required fields for event creation (name and start_time) and I am populating a lot of the other fields in event_info...

And now I need to decode the string that was encoded before and want to print it.     Okay, I've got my normal app which is in portrait mode. I can force my app to go to landscape mode for a view (using navigationcontroller and viewcontroller) like this: - (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { [[UIDevice currentDevice] setOrientation:UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight]; } But then when I go back to the main menu (tableview) it goes straight back to portrait. I try this code: - (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { [[UIDevice currentDevice] setOrientation:UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait]; } But that doesn't work.. Any ideas?

  • sIFR Doesn't Work in FF3 Mac.

    I thought it might be something I was doing wrong, but I am not seeing it working on any site, including Novemberborn.net. Any Ideas? The CSS is loaded, so the headlines are hidden, and then it is like the JS isn't loaded at all. Could this be a browser detection issue? I am using firefox 3 with latest flash player version 10. I have heard the complaint from other Mac users as well. Works on every other browser... EDIT: I removed the CSS to hide, it still doesn't work. After a pause, it loads the JS and removes the headlines, but doesn't replace them.

    I have a javascript application and when I run it on firefox I am getting the following erro on the console: "The stylesheet was not loaded because its MIME type, "text/html" is not "text/css". DumbStuck!! EDIT: Note that it tells that "The stylesheet ABCD..." But ABCD is actually an HTML file. Edit (ANSWER) : Actually I had wrongly put href="", and hence the html file was refenecing itself as the CSS. Mozilla had the similar bug once, and it is from there I got the answer. But everyone's else answers helped me too. Thanks.

So I have some raw data : unsigned char *rawImg = malloc(height * width * 4 *2 ); Then, I will fill it :) Then, I have to do something like that to get a bitmap and return a (UIImage *) : ctx = CGBitmapContextCreate(rawImg,width*2,height,8, ???, ???, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast); UIImage * imgFinal = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:CGBitmapContextCreateImage(ctx)]; CGContextRelease(ctx); return imgFinal; But I don't know how to create my context ctx, as you can see with the "???", even tough I read the documentation...   • Drawing individual pixels with iphone sdk.

    Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to make a powder toy style game on the iPhone. My problem is how to draw pixels to the screen. From what I've read, OpenGL is better for games as it is faster/hardware accelerated, but there is no method to draw pixels directly to the screen. Apparently drawing pixels to an off-screen frame buffer is the way to go, but how do I then pass this to OpenGL? Do I use a texture? (this is assuming I have no previous knowledge of iPhone graphics programming). Thanks!

But then I run it in any other browser and it does not work. How can I fix this?   • xstream and ibm j9 sdk incompatibilities on linux

    I encountered an incompatibility with xstream and IBM J9 jdk (the 32bits version). Everything worked fine when I used sun jdk but fails on IBM jdk (on linux only. on windows it's ok with both jdks). When debugging, the error appears to be that xstream uses a java.util.TreeSet internally but the set's iterator returns elements in the wrong order (I know this sounds very strange, but this is the behavior that I saw). Googling for related bugs didn't give any meaningful results I tried upgrading pretty much any component possible but no luck. I tried the following configurations: ibm jdk 1.6 SR 7 (bundled with WebSphere 7.0.0.9), xstream 1.2.2 ibm jdk 1.6 SR 8, xstream 1.2.2 ibm jdk 1.6 SR 8, xstream 1.3.1 (I tried those both with tomcat and with WebSphere server, so actually there are 6 configurations using IBM jdk). The code in question is in class com.thoughtworks.xstream.core.DefaultConverterLookup, around line 44. It uses an iterator from class com.thoughtworks.xstream.core.util.PrioritizedList, which uses a custom comparator, but all the comparator does is compare integers (the priorities). Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what can I do or change?

  • iPhoneOS SDK - Remove Corner Rounding from views (iPad problem)

    Hi Guys This might be a little bit picky, but in the iPad SplitViewController setup, there are 2 views. Each of the views has a very small black corner rounding. (This is probably the same with iPhone apps too). This rounding is visible in the image below. What I would like to do is remove the black rounding, so the UI doesnt get these two little bumps along the bottom. Has anyone done this, or know how to? -Its surely possible.     Recently i have some problems accessing websites. When i try to access it says This webpage is not available. I tried accessing the site through FireFox, Internet Explorer and Chrome. I also tried with using a web proxy but still the same problem. This problem is only in my Desktop PC, all the websites works fine in my laptop Currently i cant access, yahoo.com download.com bing.com proxy.org daniweb.com aol.com and many forums I check with the host file but nothing is blocked in that.     I am trying to eval() a json having speacial characters - 
 and getting "unterminated string literal" error in Firefox 3.5.9 Although the same works fine on IE. 7. I have set the character encoding to UTF-8 in both the browsers. Any idea why its an error in FF? Also right before converting the String to JSON, I ran this code in java String jsonString = //some json string having 
 for(byte b : jsonString.getBytes()){ System.out.print(Integer.toHexString(b) + " "); } net.sf.json.JSON jsonObject = net.sf.json.JSONSerializer.toJSON(jsonString); And the o/p for above characters is ffffffe2 ffffff80 ffffffa8 respectively. How do I know if these are valid UTF-8 characters?
