    I am thinking of moving my static .JS files to a CDN such as Amazon S3 for performance reasons. As my PHP files and mySQL DB remain on my primary hosting domain what is the best way to manage my JS AJAX requests if they are now cross domain?   • Unable to open the landing page on server

    Hi Experts, I am using asp.net 3.5. My Hosting provider has given me a folder to upload my publish application, now when I am entering www.mysite.com, I am not getting my homepage , but when I am running the same application on my local I am getting home page. Please let me know what I have to modify so that when usertype www.mysite.com it will open like www.mysite.com/homepage.aspx Please help. Thanks in advance

  • Joomla Mailto Component unable to send mails occassionally

    Greetings, I will certainly hope someone will be able to provide some enlightenment to my problem. Currently, I have 2 joomla sites, layout and menus are a replicate of the other. I noticed that on both Joomla, I will occasionally encounter "Unable to send mail" after a form submission. Is this the fault of my server, or the fault of Joomla's PHP Mailer ? I will certainly love to approach my hosting company for a solution but I do not want to place a false accusation on them.

At the end of the day (or, development cycle), I'd like to be able to hit a switch and have it all sync over to Amazon AWS hosting (EC2, S3) - instances, databases, files, configurations, and all. For regular pages on my site, I can use Google analytics. However, Eclipse doesn't use any HTMLs when going for update sites. Is there any way to do this when I don't have access to the hosting apache?

    I've used ( and still use ) mercurial and git. I have some repos hosted in a server with gitosis which is great and easy to setup. I am looking for a similar tool for hosting mercurial repos. It must provide minimal acl and ssh access and allow for remote config ( in the style of gitosis's "clone the admin repo and push changes" ). Extra points for automating hgweb config via said tool.

  • ASP.NET MVC subdomain shows folder name

    Hi, I'm using godaddy shared hosting, with IIS7, Integrated mode, and published up a bog standard MVC2 app to dev.lazygekko.com created with Visual Web Developer 2010. It all works, however when any of the links are clicked, they point to dev.lazygekko.com/dev/..., dev being the folder it is pointing at. Can anyone shed some light on what I may be doing wrong?     No, I'm not talking about making a slideshow of pictures. How can I make the actual file that windows (at least windows 7) uses for screensavers? It is a .scr format, and when I opened it in Notepad, I got a bunch of symbols, with a few words scattered throughout, but that was expected. It looks like it was made with directx, xml, and even assembly (for the shaders) based on the recognizable code there. I just went on to a site-hosting place and made this: Link to ribbons.scr code

  • Where are certain Wordpress files that I want to programmatically edit?

    I have a simple perl script that via ftp uploads files to the server hosting our website. After I do that I have to login as a Wordpress admin and use the GUI to edit a page so that it reflects the new file I just uploaded. I want to programmatically edit that file to save a few steps, but I can't find the file. Are any Wordpress files sitting on the server? The file in question is basically a subpage of the main site.
