    Hi all, I got thie message when i started apache service The Apache service named reported the following error: httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 128 of C:/data/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/data/apache/modules/mod_wsgi.so into server: The specified module could not be found. . Not sure what went wrong, I do have "C:/data/apache/modules/mod_wsgi.so" Thanks for any help.

    I need to write a batch program to end all MS office communicator tasks with window titles (usually ending with pattern "- Conversation" . I tried taskkill /FI "WINDOWTITLE eq *Conversation" /IM communicator.exe but the wildcard pattern starting with a '*' does not seem to work. Gives the folowing error ERROR: The search filter cannot be recognized. any suggestions for a workaround would be greatly appreciated!

  • Windows Service Limit Crashes Services on Startup

    We have developed a custom Windows service in C# as part of a large Enterprise application. Our QA department tests multiple versions of this service. The QA lab has several (over 20) copies of this service installed on one Windows 2003 test box. Each copy is in its own folder and has a unique service name, though each executable file is named the same (OurWindowsService.exe, for example). Each service uses the same Windows credentials (a domain user). The purpose of this service is to handle MSMQ messages. The queued messages do all sorts of important stuff. For some reason, they can run only 5 of these services at a time. When we start a 6th, the service crashes on startup. For example, I can start #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5. When I start #6, it crashes. However, if I stop #1 and start #6, #6 runs fine, and now #1 fails to start. When the services crash, the following error appears in the Windows event log: Faulting application OurWindowsService.exe, version 5.40.1.1, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.4480, fault address 0x0000bef7. I was able to use WinDbg to generate a postmortem dump file.     For 3 days now I've been unable to boot into my Windows 7 partition, and all my research has been to no avail. I'm hoping someone here has more ideas on how to fix this. When I boot up now, I get the black screen with BCD error that says theres no valid file system or it may be corrupt (pardon my lack of detail, no copy/paste is available then). When I boot with the Windows 7 disc and go into repair tools, no operating system is found, and attempting to automatically repair the problem fails with Unknown Operating System (Unknown Disk) or something similar. When I drop into the command prompt, I am able to see and navigate my C:\ drive without issue. I attempt to use bootrec: C:\> bootrec /ScanOS Finds C:\Windows as a system partition. C:\> bootrec /RebuildBCD Fails with volume does not contain a recognized file system. please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted. So then I attempt to fix the bootsector: C:\> bootsect /nt60 C: /force Which completes successfully (sorry, no output..) Upon rebooting, I have the same problem. I've also tried all of the above after making my Windows partition active: C:\> diskpart DISKPART> select disk 1 DISKPART> select partition 1 DISKPART> active DISKPART> exit Then bootrec as above, both with and without a reboot after the DISKPART commands. Then I've also tried rebuilding the BCD store by hand: set systemdrive=C: set tempbcd=C:\boot\bcd.temp set tempfile=C:\boot\temp.txt bcdedit -createstore %tempbcd% bcdedit.exe -store %tempbcd% -create {bootmgr} -d "Windows Boot Manager" bcdedit -store %tempbcd% -create -d "Windows Vista" -application osloader>%tempfile% set /p winvistaguid= <%tempfile% set winvistaguid=%winvistaguid:~10,38% bcdedit -store %tempbcd% -set %winvistaguid% osdevice partition=%systemdrive% bcdedit -store %tempbcd% -set %winvistaguid% device partition=%systemdrive% bcdedit -store %tempbcd% -set %winvistaguid% path \Windows\system32\winload.exe bcdedit -store %tempbcd% -set %winvistaguid% systemroot \Windows bcdedit -import %tempbcd% However on the import, I get my familiar friendly message: volume does not contain a recognized file system. please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted I'm at my wits end here, and I cannot understand why Windows refuses to see this as a valid install. When I list the disk/partition in DISKPART, it shows up as NTFS and "Healthy", and I can navigate the directory structure from DOS with no problems. I really, really do not want to reformat and reinstall. I know this problem can be solved!

I want to create a dvd disk that essentailly has 2 purposes: When a DVD is inserted into a standard DVD player it plays like a normal DVD film, i.e. you get the DVD menu and you can play the movie When you insert the dvd into a pc it auto launches an exe file and behaves like a normal data disk.

  • How does Antimalware Doctor infect computers?

    I didn't do anything stupid like run random .exe or visit questionable websites, but as I was just Googling I get infected by Antimalware Doctor. At that point I just shutdown my computer and reformatted, so I didn't check if I had the latest version of Flash or Firefox. Is it possible to get infected just because I didn't have my Flash newer than 10.1 and some random flash ad infected me? There doesn't seem to be any information on how Antimalware Doctor works asides from how to remove it.

    I followed the steps here to set up Sharepoint integration with reporting services (SSRS) using native mode. (i.e., get a report explorer and viewer web parts) However after adding the cabinet file e.g., STSADM.EXE -o addwppack -filename "C:\ Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Reporting Services\SharePoint\RSWebParts.cab" -globalinstall I still don't see report explorer in the web parts list. I'm very stuck and confused :-(

  • Tomcat app doesn't work with Fingerprint Reader in Windows 7

    I've got a tomcat webapp that uses a fingerprint reader. It works fine under Windows XP and Windows 7 if you double click on tomcat.exe. It doesn't work on Windows 7 if you run tomcat as a service. I imagine that when run as a service the process doesn't have the required permissions to talk to the device. I've tried running it as an administrator and verified that it's doing so with Process Explorer. What else should I check?

  • Unable to telnet out on port 25 on windows server 2008

    Hi All, I just setup a Windows 2008 R2 server and am trying to get a basic mail server up and running so that I can send emails from my applications. I setup a virtual SMTP server in IIS6 and tried doing a local telnet to port 25, which seemed to work fine. There were no errors during this stage and I can see the mail message appear in the Queue folder. The problem is that mail never leaves the Queue folder. I then tried to telnet to a remote mail server on port 25 but couldn't connect:- telnet 209.85.227.27 25 Could not open connection to the host, on port 25: Connection failed) I checked my firewall and there is a default setting to allow all outgoing TCP traffic with no restriction. I even setup a specific rule for outgoing port 25 traffic but to no avail. I then ran a SmtpDiag.exe command .\SmtpDiag.exe [email protected] [email protected] and received the following output Searching for Exchange external DNS settings. Computer name is WIN-SERVERNAME. Failed to connect to the domain controller. Error: 8007054b Checking SOA for gmail.com. Checking external DNS servers. Checking internal DNS servers. SOA serial number match: Passed. Checking local domain records. Checking MX records using TCP: gmail.com. Checking MX records using UDP: gmail.com. Both TCP and UDP queries succeeded. Local DNS test passed. Error: 10060 Failed to submit mail to gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com. Is there any other diagnostics I can do to figure out if it's my firewall or something else? I have removed antivirus to make sure that it wasn't causing the problem. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I can decompile a CHM file using hh.exe, but I don't know how to easily merge the resulting files into a single HTML file, all while preserving the correct order of pages. Is there a free tool which can do this? If not, how can I merge the HTML files in order?

  • New Exchange 2010 CAS cannot find domain controllers

    I am experiencing problems migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. I am on the first step: installing a new 2010 Client Access Server role. The Active Directory domain functional level is 2003. All domain controllers are 2003 R2. The only existing Exchange 2003 server happens to be housed on one of the domain controllers. It is running Exchange 2003 Standard w/ SP2. IPv6 is enabled and working on all domain controllers, servers, and routers, including this new Exchange server. After installing the CAS role on a new 2008 R2 server (Hyper-V VM) I am receiving 2114 Events: Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGYSERVICE.EXE (PID=1600). Topology discovery failed, error 0x80040a02 (DSC_E_NO_SUITABLE_CDC). Look up the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) error code specified in the event description. To do this, use Microsoft Knowledge Base article 218185, "Microsoft LDAP Error Codes." Use the information in that article to learn more about the cause and resolution to this error. Use the Ping or PathPing command-line tools to test network connectivity to local domain controllers. Prior to each, I receive the following 2080 Event: Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGYSERVICE.EXE (PID=1600). Exchange Active Directory Provider has discovered the following servers with the following characteristics: (Server name | Roles | Enabled | Reachability | Synchronized | GC capable | PDC | SACL right | Critical Data | Netlogon | OS Version) In-site: b.company.intranet CDG 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 s.company.intranet CDG 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 Out-of-site: a.company.intranet CD- 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 o.company.intranet CD- 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 g.company.intranet CD- 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Connectivity between the new Exchange server and all domain controllers via IPv4 and IPv6 are all working. I have verified that the new Exchange server is a member of the following groups: Exchange Servers Exchange Domain Servers Exchange Install Domain Servers Exchange Trusted Subsystem Heck, I even put the new Exchange server into Domain Admins just to see if it would help. It didn't. I can't find any evidence of Active Directory replication problems, all pre-setup Setup tasks (/PrepareLegacyExchangePermissions, /PrepareSchema, /PrepareAD, /PrepareDomain) completed successfully. The only problem so far that I haven't been able to resolve with my Active Directory is I am unable to get my IPv6 subnets into Sites and Services Where should I proceed from here?

Ideally I would pass the filename, and possibly some options (capture mouse pointer or not, etc..), then it would take control, allow the user to select a region of the screen, and then save it to the specified file and disappear. screensnip.exe /output c:\users\public\pictures\screenshot.png /hidecursor user draws rectangle on screen control passes back to batch file, script, etc....

  • How did what appears to be a virus get on my computer? (explanation of situation enclosed)

    My system is Windows XP SP3, updated with the latest patches. The PC is connected to a Cisco 877 ADSL router, which does NAT from the internal network to its single static public IP address. There are no forwarded ports, and the router's management console can only be accessed from the inside. I was doing two things: working on a remote office machine via VPN and browsing some web pages on the Cisco web site. The remote network is absolutely safe (it's a lab network, four virtual servers, no publicly accessible services and no users at all; also, none of what I'm going to describe ever happened there). The Cisco web site... well, I suppose is quite safe, too. Suddenly, something happened. Strange popups appears anywhere; programs claiming they're "antimalware", "antispyware" et so on begins autoinstalling; fake Windows Update and Security Center icons pop up in the system tray. svchost.exe began crashing repeatedly. Then, finally, after some minutes of this... BSOD. And, upon rebooting, BSOD again. Even in safe mode. Ok, that was obviously some virus/trojan/whatever. I had to install a new copy of Windows on another partition to clean things up. I found strange executables, services and DLLs almost anywhere. Amongst the other things, user32.dll and ndis.sys had been replaced. A fake software called "Antimalware Doctor" had been installed. There were services with completely random names or even GUIDs (!), and also ones called "IpSect" and "Darkness". There were executable files without an .exe extension. There were even two boot-class drivers, which I'm quite sure are the ones that finally caused the system to crash. A true massacre. Ok, now the questions: What the hell was that?!? It was something more than a simple virus! How did it manage to attack my computer, as I am behind a firewall and was not doing anything even only potentially harmful on the web at the time?

  • Make Excel 2007 open hyperlinks in Firefox

    In Excel 2007, when I click a hyperlink, it opens in IE. I'm running XP Professional SP3. Firefox is set as my default browser. Links in Word and Outlook open in Firefox. But Excel opens them in IE. Anyone know how to fix it? Edit: Process Explorer shows the command line for IE to be "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" -Embedding Thanks!
