  • jQuery - how to repeat a function within itself to include nested files

    - by brandonjp
    I'm not sure what to call this question, since it involves a variety of things, but we'll start with the first issue... I've been trying to write a simple to use jQuery for includes (similar to php or ssi) on static html sites. Whenever it finds div.jqinclude it gets attr('title') (which is my external html file), then uses load() to include the external html file. Afterwards it changes the class of the div to jqincluded So my main index.html might contain several lines like so: <div class="jqinclude" title="menu.html"></div> However, within menu.html there might be other includes nested. So it needs to make the first level of includes, then perform the same action on the newly included content. So far it works fine, but it's very verbose and only goes a couple levels deep. How would I make the following repeated function to continually loop until no more class="jqinclude" elements are left on the page? I've tried arguments.callee and some other convoluted wacky attempts to no avail. I'm also interested to know if there's another completely different way I should be doing this. $('div.jqinclude').each(function() { // begin repeat here var file = $(this).attr('title'); $(this).load(file, function() { $(this).removeClass('jqinclude').addClass('jqincluded'); $(this).find('div.jqinclude').each(function() { // end repeat here var file = $(this).attr('title'); $(this).load(file, function() { $(this).removeClass('jqinclude').addClass('jqincluded'); $(this).find('div.jqinclude').each(function() { var file = $(this).attr('title'); $(this).load(file, function() { $(this).removeClass('jqinclude').addClass('jqincluded'); }); }); }); }); }); });

  • Storing an image map in a database

    - by ColoradoRockie
    I have a requirement to allow users in a content management system to create their own image maps through a gui interface, which I have accomplished. But instead of saving the image map to the page code, I want to save the image map code to a database (sql), which I've also accomplished. When I started down this road in my head I was thinking the whole time that I'd just add the "usemap" attribute at runtime shown below where promo1.ImageMap holds the entire map code: if(promo1.HasImageMap) imgPromotion1.Attributes.Add("usemap", promo1.ImageMap); I guess I didn't think it though well enough, because it seems that "usemap" only expects the name of the existing map to use from the page code, and not the map code as a string. Does anyone have any clever ideas on how to apply the map from the database to the image at run time?

  • Is it possible to put binary image data into html markup and then get the image displayed as usual i

    - by Joern Akkermann
    It's an important security issue and I'm sure this should be possible. A simple example: You run a community portal. Users are registered and upload their pictures. Your application gives security rules whenever a picture is allowed to be displayed. For example users must be friends on each sides by the system, in order that you can view someone else's uploaded pictures. Here comes the problem: it is possible that someone crawls the image directories of your server. But you want to protect your users from such attacks. If it's possible to put the binary data of an image directly into the HTML markup, you can restrict the user access of your image dirs the user and group your web application runs of and pass the image data to your Apache user and group directly in the HTML. The only possible weakness then is the password of the user that your web app runs as. Is there already a possibility?

  • Wicket Drag and drop functionality for adding an image

    - by Marcel
    I'm making a wicket app that can manage some options for a cashdesk app. One of the options is to change the image of a selected Product. The user(manager) can choose from the already present images in the database (SQL) when this option is selected, or add a new image if the desired image is not present. Don't mention the test names and awesome images (it's still in test-fase) I prefer to see the adding of an image achieved by Drag and Drop html5 demo [dnd-upload] (From the desktop into the browser) I'm currently using Wicket-6.2.0 and wicket-dnd 0.5.0 and i can't seem to get this working! All examples I can find are from wicket 2.x or lower. It is possible to use drag and drop in Wicket-6.2, but how do I achieve this? There seems to be some DraggableBehavior in wicket? Any help is welcome! [UPDATE] Upgraded to wicket-dnd 0.6

  • How to load a library that depends on another library, all from a jar file

    - by Philip
    I would like to ship my application as a self-contained jar file. The jar file should contain all the class files, as well as two shared libraries. One of these shared libraries is written for the JNI and is essentially an indirection to the other one (which is 100% C). I have first tried running my jar file without the libraries, but having them accessible through the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. That worked fine. I then put the JNI library into the jar file. I have read about loading libraries from jar files by copying them first to some temporary directory, and that worked well for me (note that the 100% C library was, I suppose, loaded as before). Now I want to put both libraries into the jar, but I don't understand how I can make sure that they will both be loaded. Sure I can copy them both to a temporary directory, but when I load the "indirection" one, it always gives me: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/.../libindirect.so: /libpure.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I've tried to force the JVM to load the "100% C" library first by explicitely calling System.load(...) on its temporary file, but that didn't work better. I suspect the system is looking for it when resolving the links in libindirect.so but doesn't care about what the JVM loaded. Can anyone help me on that one? Thanks

  • Flex 3: Embedding MovieClip Symbol to Image Control programmatically

    - by BlueDude
    I've reviewed all the documentation and Google results surrounding this and I think I have everything setup correctly. My problem is that the symbol is not appearing in my app. I have a MovieClip symbol that I've embedded to my Flex Component. I need to create a new Image control for each item from my dataProvider and assign this embedded symbol as the Image's source. I thought it was simple but apparently not. Here's a stub of the code: [Embed(source="../assets/assetLib.swf", symbol="StarMC")] private var StarClass:Class; protected function rebuildChildren():void { iterator.seek( CursorBookmark.FIRST ); while ( !iterator.afterLast ) { child = new Image(); var asset:MovieClipAsset = new StarClass() as MovieClipAsset; (child as Image).source = asset; } } I know the child is being created because I can draw a shape and and that appears. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you!

  • CSS Background image in Redmine template arbitrarily not loading

    - by Pekka
    I`m in the process of building a template for Redmine (a project management system based on Ruby on Rails.) Ruby is running on a virtual server from a Bitnami.org installation package. The OS is Windows. The template essentially consists of a styles.css file. In that file, I have the following line: #header { padding: 0px; padding-top: 48px; background-color: #62DFFF; background-image: url(../images/bkg.jpg) background-position: center bottom; background-repeat: repeat-x; height:150px; } It's a header element with a background image. The problem: This background image arbitrarily appears and disappears when reloading. Say you reload ten times in twenty seconds; the image will appear in two instances, and be missing in the 18 others. I would have put this down to server problems, but the weird thing is that when it's missing, the request for the image doesn't appear in Firebug's net tab at all. Even if it were cached, the request should be there. Raw screenshots of the identical page on two reloads: I am 100% sure the CSS file does not change in between. I have examined both instances with Firebug and the CSS is identical. It happens in both Firefox and Chrome so it must be something basic I'm overlooking. What could be causing a browser not to load a resource at all? I have zero idea about Ruby nor Rails - getting Redmine running and customized is all I have ever had to do with this platform - so I don't really know where to look. Apache's, Mongrel's and Redmine's error logs look fine, though.

  • Rotate a feature Image in Open Layers

    - by Ozaki
    I have an open layers map. It adds and removes my "imageFeature" every 10secs or so. I have a JSON feed that gives me the rotation that I need, I have a request to get that rotation and set it as a variable of rotationv. Everything works but the fact when the image is recreated it does not update the rotation. My code is as follows: JSON request: var rotationv = (function () { rotationv = null; $.ajax({ 'async': false, 'global': true, 'url': urldefault, 'dataType': "json", 'success': function (data) { rotationv = data.rotation; } }); return rotationv })(); Creating image feature: imageFeature = new OpenLayers.Feature.Vector( new OpenLayers.Geometry.Point(mylon, mylat), { rotation: rotationv } ); The image is set in the styling elsewhere. Why does this not rotate my image?

  • How do you make an image opened in colorbox scrollable

    - by nicholas.alipaz
    I would like my images that I open in colorbox to be displayed fullsize with no resizing applied to them and then apply scrollbars to allow for viewing the larger images. Some of my images are quite tall and things get pixelated when resized down. Currently colorbox just resizes my images down to the size of the available height/width. Is there a way to make all images display fullsize with overflow scrollable in colorbox? I am linking directly to an image: <a href="/myimage.png" title="My Image" class="colorbox imagefield imagefield-imagelink imagefield-field_portfolio_screenshot initColorbox-processed cboxElement" rel="gallery-12"> <img src="/thumb/myimage.png" alt="image" title="My Image" class="imagecache imagecache-portfolio_screenshot_thumb" height="50" width="50"> </a>

  • Swapping an image during web development

    - by detly
    I'm trying to see what a certain webpage would look like if I replaced a certain image with another. Rather than upload the image, edit the site, etc, each time I tweak it, I'd like to know if there's a way to change the image in the page to my local version while viewing the remote page. I use Firebug for debugging web development usually, but I'm open to any other tool that might do this. (It is absolutely impossible to search for this and find anything but questions about dynamic image swapping on a deployed website, so sorry if this is a duplicate.)

  • Issue in implementing a stateless server Of a facebook application.

    - by Fahim Akhter
    I am trying to implement a stateless server. I'm using LAMP with Php but when I connect to the facebook server using facebook connect. Wouldn't it return a facebook session to me which my server will mantain. Does that remove the whole point of being stateless? Basically I want to have multiple application servers and a dumb load balancer which just sees the number of people connected to the server not who is connected to a server.

  • SDL_BlitSurface() not displaying image?

    - by Christian Gonzalez
    So I'm trying to display a simply image with the SDL library, but when I use the function SDL_BlitSurface() nothing happens, and all I get is a black screen. I should also note that I have the .bmp file, the source, and the executable file all in the same directory. //SDL Header #include "SDL/SDL.h" int main(int argc, char* args[]) { //Starts SDL SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_EVERYTHING); //SDL Surfaces are images that are going to be displayed. SDL_Surface* Hello = NULL; SDL_Surface* Screen = NULL; //Sets the size of the window (Length, Height, Color(bits), Sets the Surface in Software Memory) Screen = SDL_SetVideoMode(640, 480, 32, SDL_SWSURFACE); //Loads a .bmp image Hello = SDL_LoadBMP("Hello.bmp"); //Applies the loaded image to the screen SDL_BlitSurface(Hello, NULL, Screen, NULL); //Update Screen SDL_Flip(Screen); //Pause SDL_Delay(2000); //Deletes the loaded image from memory SDL_FreeSurface(Hello); //Quits SDL SDL_Quit(); return 0; }

  • Using an image file vs data URI in the CSS

    - by fudgey
    I'm trying to decide the best way to include an image that is required for a script I've written. I discovered this site and it made me think about trying this method to include the image as a data URI since it was so small - it's a 1x1 pixel 50% opacity png file (used for a background) - it ends up at 2,792 bytes as an image versus 3,746 bytes as text in the CSS. So would this be considered good practice, or would it just clutter up the CSS unnecessarily?

  • Sharing svn reposities between web servers

    - by Luke
    I have my subversion hosting set up to be accessed through Apache web server. Everything runs fine. Now I'd like to add another web server to distribute the load between two web servers. Is it save to have my svn repositories accessed by two web servers at the same time? Does the normal fsfs subversion repository type protect me enough or do I need to switch to Berkely DB for this sort of thing?

  • What ports does Management Studio use to connect to SQL Server (2005)

    - by Martin
    I have SQL Server 2005 operating on a remotely hosted server and wish to access it from my own machine using management studio The firewall on the remote server is allready setup to allow all traffic from my external IP - and that works great. However I have a load balancing router that has a second line attached to it - unfortunatly the second line has a dynamic external IP. I need to therefore set up a rule in the router to always send data from Management studio on the first line - but I need to know the port numbers. Can you advise?

  • glReadPixels and save to image

    - by Julius Petraška
    I have app, where user drags and drops image, and it is being redrawn with OpenGL for some aviable processing. Everything works. And when user wants to save his image it works like that: glReadPixels -> NSBitmapImageRep -> NSData -> Write to file This works too. Almost. With some images it is not working as it should work. For example: .png when I open and save this image: I get: And if I open and save this image: I get: .jpg If I open and save: I get: And when I open and save: I get: So sometimes images saves badly. Why is it happening?

  • How to recreate the UITabBarItem image filter?

    - by boliva
    Hi, I'm writing a custom UITabBar replacement, and I would like to know how to recreate the filter that the built-in implementation does with the UITabBarItem image - that blue shining on selected tabs and gray gradient on unselected ones. I guess it's a matter of using the source image alpha value as a mask and overlay it with a pre-made blue (or whatever color) shining image and another one grayed out, but I would like to know what is the best approach from a code point of view. Best,
