    Hi, Im doing a POC using Aspectj. class BaseInfo{..} class UserInfo extends BaseInfo{..} class UserService { public void getUser(UserInfo userInfo){..} public void deleteUser(String userId){..} } I've defined an advice, that gets invoked when I pass an UserInfo instance.But when i try to pass the BaseInfo, the advice is not getting invoked. Below block executes the afterMethod as expected for getUser. &ltaop:pointcut id="aopafterMethod" expression="execution(* UserService.*(..,UserInfo,..))" / &gtaop:after pointcut-ref="aopafterMethod" method="afterMethod" / But when i try to give BaseInfo instead of UserInfo, the aspect is not getting triggered. Am i missing something? Kindly help me on this issue.

I do not have any complex SQL queries( already migrated away after since I partitioned my db) Right now, it seems like both Mongodb and Cassandra would be likely options. My situation lots of reads in every query, less regular writes not worried about "massive" scalability more concerned about simple setup, maintenance and code minimize hardware/server cost

  • Reg Ex parsing error - too many )'s

    Using regular expressions in .NET with the pattern ^%[^%]+%\Z and the string "few)few%" I get the error - System.ArgumentException: parsing "few)few%" - Too many )'s. Dim match As System.Text.RegularExpressions.Match = System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex.Match("^%[^%]+%\Z", "few)few%") What would the issue be? Do I need to escape brackets in any input expression to reg ex? (I'm trying the determine if string has the wildcard % at the beginning and end of the string but not elsewhere in the string)

I am able to do encoding with a usb connected web cam but I cannot find a way to use the encoder to connect to ip camera connected to our switch. Does anyone have experience setting up an ip camera to encode into the Silverlight framework?

  • Calling a specific contact endpoint with Lync

    I'm trying to develop a Lync application that allows a user to select which of a contact's endpoints they would like to call. For instance, if User A has two phones listed, then User B can choose between those two options and call whichever he likes to try and get in contact with them. I know with the regular Lync Client(not suppressed) this appears to be possible, but Im not sure how to accomplish it programatically in UISuppression mode. Any ideas?

  • MVC 2 View Layout CSS Control Layout

    I'm new to a lot of what I'm trying to do with the development of a new MVC2 web application so this is a beginner question. I need to understand my options for control and content layout on a web page. I’m using MVC2 so I’m using Controllers, Views, ViewModels, and View Templates. What I need to spin up on…fast…is control the granular layout of controls and content on any particular view. Below I’ve pasted two examples of auto generated templates that illustrate my challenge. I see that layout is controlled by CSS in my Site.css document. In the first example I get a sequential flow of DisplayLabel and DisplayField. I prefer the adjacent layout of DisplayLabel on the same line as DisplayField produced from example 2. However, example 2 is too simple because the formatting is applied to the Label and the Field. I think the correct way to tackle this learning curve is Microsoft Expression but I don’t have personal bandwidth at the moment to tackle Expression. Can anyone point me to a resource that will expose me to lots of examples for CSS formatting? I have lots of syntax questions. For instance, I believe is referencing the Site.css but I can’t find a "display-label" section in Site.css.   • Dissertation about website and database security - in need of some pointers

    Hi, I am on my dissertation in my final year at university at the moment. One of the areas I need to research is security - for both websites and for databases. I currently have sections on the following: Website Form security - such as data validation. This section is more about preventing errors made by legitimate users as much as possible rather than stopping hackers, for example comparing a field to a regular expression and giving them meaningful feedback on any errors which did occur so as to stop it happening again. Constraints. For example if a value must be true or false then use a checkbox. If it is likely to be one of several values then use a dropdown or a set of radio boxes, and so on. If the value is unpredictable then use regular expressions to limit what characters they are allowed to enter, and to restrict the length of the string, and sometimes to limit the format (such as for dates / times, post codes and so on). Sometimes you can limit permissions to the form. This is on the occasion that you know exactly who (whether it be peoples names or a group of people - such as administrators or employees) is going to need access to the form. Restricting permissions will stop members of the public from being able to access the form. Symbols or strings which could be used maliciously or cause the website to act incorrectly (such as the script tag) should be filtered out or html encoded. Captcha images can be used to prevent automated systems from filling in and submitting the form. There are some hacks for file uploads - such as using double extensions - which can allow hackers to upload malicious files. Databases (this is nowhere near done yet but the sections I have planned are listed below) SQL statements vs stored procedures Throwing an error when one of the variables contains particular characters or groups of characters (I cant remember what characters they are, but I have seen a message thrown back at me before where I have tried to enter html or something into a text area). SQL Injection - and ways around it, with some examples. Does anyone have any hints and tips on where I could go for some decent, reliable information either about these areas or about other areas of security that I could cover? Thanks in advance.   • Do WebSockets have exclusive access to their sockets?

    I'm curious to know if, after a WebSocket has been established (after having received the proper handshake from a server that supports them), whether or not the TCP socket used by the "WebSocket connection" is used exclusively by the WebSocket, or if the browser may still make regular HTTP requests with it. It only makes sense to me that WebSockets would have exclusive use of their TCP sockets, but I don't remember having read in any of the documentation that such is the case.

    i take a regular multiselect listbox and convert it to a jquery ui multiselect listbox by calling this: $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect(); As per the API, i call this method in the return of an ajax function $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect("select", "Item 1"); but nothing seems to happen. i can't figure out a way to have this programatically add items within an ajax call. i was thinking there was maybe another "refresh" method or something like that but i can't find any.

For the detail portion I can use: =DATEADD("s", SUM(Fields!Talk_Time.Value), CDate("00:00")) And it will return: 1/1/0001 12:00:14 AM Now I can use =LEFT(DATEADD("s", SUM(Fields!Talk_Time.Value), CDate("00:00")),8) Which will return: 12:00:14 But really what I need is: 00:00:14 Please help!

  • Show form that showDialog from mainForm won't block it, but closing mainForm will close it

    how yo show a form which needs to run synchronously. I tried running application.run from a queueworker of a threadpool- but I had some invalid handles sometime. tried using a regular thread but then when main form closes it doesn't close this- and I don't really like the idea of killing the thread on_formclosing. if I use form.show it's fine besides that fact that any showdialog from the main form will block also this. What's the best way to handle this?

Is there a JSF servlet or helper I could use for it? I seem to be spoilt by Spring in which all this is too obvious.
