  • Which web crawler to use to save news articles from a website into .txt files?

    Hi, i am currently in dire need of news articles to test a LSI implementation (it's in a foreign language, so there isnt the usual packs of files ready to use). So i need a crawler that given a starting url, let's say http://news.bbc.co.uk/ follows all the contained links and saves their content into .txt files, if we could specify the format to be UTF8 i would be in heaven.   • Jruby rspec to be run parallely

    Hi. Is there something like Spork for Jruby too? We want to parallelize our specs to run faster and pre-load the classes while running the rake task; however we have not been able to do so. Since our project is considerable in size, specs take about 15 minutes to complete and this poses a serious challenge to quick turnaround. Any ideas are more than welcome. Cheers

One of the things I need on there is a procedure guide, which is basically a 150 page document, whereby each page is a separate procedure. Is there an efficient way within sharepoint that these procedures can be stored and searchable somehow, rather than dumping a 150 page document on there?

  • Can I use a single DateTime field on the Entity Framework model side when the value is stored in a set of Int fields in the actual database?

    The actual table in the database has separate integer fields for storing year, month, day, hour and minute values (all in UTC) (seconds and milliseconds are irrelevant for my task and considered equal to zero). Needless to say it would be of great convenience to have just one field of DateTime type on the application side and hide all the conversion under the cover of the Entity Framework model code. Any directions on how to do that? I am not very experienced with Entity Framework yet.

    I started out attempting to do this with the Length ant task, but realized that that would be done before the ear is packaged. Packaging the ear, then checking the file size, and then placing it in the ear would effect the size of the ear. Is there a way to get the ear's size programmatically at run-time? Or perhaps an MBean that would have that information?

  • How to kill process on Remote Desktop Connection?

    I am working remotely on a Windows Server via Remote Desktop Connection and some process has hung the server. I looked up how to bring up the Task Manager remote (equivalent of locally doing CTRL+ALT+DEL) and I found CTRL+ALT+END and it doesn't seem to work. I tried logging off and logging back on and the system is still up (tried earlier seeing the properties of My Comptuer, FYI). Does anyone know how I can escape this 'hindrance' and star fresh?!?

  • ProgressDialog does not disappear after executing dismiss, hide or cancel?

    Hello, I have an Overlay extension which has 2 dialogs as private attributes - one Dialog and one ProgressDialog. After clicking on the Overlay in the MapView, the Dialog object appears. When the user clicks a button in the Dialog it disappears and the ProgressDialog is shown. Simultaneously a background task is started by notifying a running Service. When the task is done, a method (buildingLoaded) in the Overlay object is called to switch the View and to dismiss the ProgressDialog. The View is being switched, the code is being run (I checked with the debugger) but the ProgressDialog is not dismissed. I also tried hide() and cancel() methods, but nothing works. Can somebody help me? Implement contructor using dynamic allocation of memory for variables, destructor, function init and friend function show. Then transform this class to header and cpp file and implement in other program. Ok so I've almost finished my Person class, but I get error after destructor.     The name pretty much says it all. Does anyone know how to accomplish functional testing when you are not using migrations in Rails? I'd be open to any advice or third party libraries (if there are any).
