  • Need help in filtering records based on radius value in solr

    Hi, I am using solr with Lucene spatial 2.9.1 as per http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-spatial/ I want to write a query, that will retrieve records within a given radius using hsin function, and using cartesian tiers as filters. So i wrote query like this http://localhost:8983/solr/select/?q=body:engineering colleges^0 AND _val_:"recip(hsin(0.227486,1.354193 , lat_rad, lng_rad, 4), 1, 1, 0)"^100 &&fq={!tier x=13.033993 y=77.589569 radians=false dist=4 prefix=tier_ unit=m} My records include many US records and few Indian records. For US records filtering based on radius is working fine. But for Indian records its not varying even if i change the radius . So can any one tell me if anything is wrong with the query or is there any configuration issues related to solr in order to make this work, or since record density is very less for Indian records filtering is not happening properly.Am not able to figure it out. What am I doing wrong?

  • How to have NHibernate persist a String.Empty property value as NULL

    I have a fairly simple class that I want to save to SQL Server via NHibernate (w/ Fluent mappings). The class is made up mostly of optional string fields. My problem is I default the class fields to string.empty to avoid NullRefExceptions and when NHibernate saves the row to the database each column contains an empty string instead of null. Question: Is there a way for me to get NHibernate to automatically save null when the string property is an empty string? Or do I need to litter my code with if (string.empty) checks?

    Hello, I have a category on NSDate, and I want to implement some functions to manipulate the date, like : NSDate *thedate = [NSDate date]; [thedate setToMidnight]; so I have a function in NSDate like : -(void)setToMidnight { some code with calendars and comps self = theNewDate; } This works inside the function, but outside this member function, thedate has not changed. I understand this malfunction because I've been told that self is just a local variable created inside the member function. So, how can I make this work ? Of course, I could have written : thedate = [thedate dateAsMidnightDate] or thedate = [NSDate dateAtMidnightFromDate:thedate] but I feel it has more sense inside the instance class, as I don't want to change the date but just adjust some values of the previously created one. Can you help me to achieve this ?

My program crashes after these statements complaining about some destructor problem in level and enemy_control and enemy. Any ideas?

    Hello, Given I don't know if the parameter will be null or not and I want to use it in the following way: if Param != null then compare with its id if Param == null then compare with null. Something like that: var c = from cat in context.Categories where ParamCat != null && cat.ParentId == ParamCat.Id || ParamCat == null && cat.ParentId == null select c; If ParamCat is null as soon as I try to get something from c (for example c.Count()) it throws the exception. Usually when we use some kind of condition it stop comparison as soon as condition fail especially if we use AND. For example this code will not cause any exception: if (ParamCat != null && cat.ParentId == RaramCat.Id) { } If so, why the linq code above throw exception? (Null reference) Thanks

  • Maintain a variable value between program runs

    I have a simple c# console application that is scheduled after every 5 mins. Every invocation of the program requires the output of the last run. What I am doing right now is using a text file and store the result in it. next time when it runs it opens the text file and know the output of the previous run. Is there any other way to do it that wont require any such text file ? Like maintaining a session variable etc ?
