  • Copy / Move One SAP Client From One System to another System

    We have one SAP system in the US (lets call it TKIJVPL1), this system has an SAP Client, client 241. We have another SAP system in Germany (lets call it Lockweiler). We need to move this client 241 from our TKIJVPL1 server to this new server. Can I simply use transaction SCC8? It says client export, but when I look at the options it says Source client : 241 (which is good), it says Profile Name SAP_ALL (which is also good as I need all data), but Target System all that is coming up is PL1 / QL1. What is the easiest way to export one client from one system to another system in SAP?

    Hello all, My software has two .EXE files : A.exe and B.exe. After installed on Window 7, the shortcut to A.exe is always shown in the start menu. (I don't know if 'Start menu' is the correct name or not, what I mean is the area above 'All Programs'). The menu in my computer looks like: Getting Started Windows Media Center Calculator Sticky Notes Snipping Tool Paint A <-- My program, and I want 'B' to be shown here All programs How can I make B.exe shown instead of A.exe? If I do it like this, though this isn't the default browser Dim trgt1 As String = "http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=612471" pi.Arguments = trgt1 pi.FileName = "iexplore.exe" 'or firefox.exe System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(pi) it opens immediately. Is this a bug or a feature? I have tried this with both IE and FireFox set to be the default browser.

  • Where to start with Direct2d?

    Interested in learning Direct2d to create a Windows 8 app, but after 2 hours of research I'm thoroughly confused. Samples like this (Creating a Simple Direct2D Application) seem to assume you know what an HWND and HRESULT is, and how the Windows API works in general. My question is this: do you need an understanding of the Win API, COM, OLE, and all this other Windows stuff in order to get a good grasp on Direct2d/3d? All the other barebones tutorials assume that you know all this stuff and I don't really know where to start. The startup D2D project in VS 2012 gives you a bunch of files but there's no main or WinMain... How does this program even start?

    every one. I'm in a big trouble. My computer (HP ProBook 4230s) has two OS----Archlinux and Win 7. When I use Archlinux, after halt my computer, it will start up after a while without press power. And there is an other thing. My computer's clock will be wrong. Many times I change it in bios, but it wrong again. If I turn off the computer from Win 7, it will never start up untill pressing power bottom. And the clock will be right. I also used ubuntu\debian\mageia, and both of them are fine with my notebook. Is there some configure is wrong with my ArchLinux?

    I'm dealing with a COM port application and we have a defined variable-length packet structure that I'm talking to a micro-controller with. The packet has delimiters for the start and stop bytes. The trouble is that sometimes the read buffer can contain extraneous characters. It seems like I'll always get the whole packet, just some extra chatter before/after the actual data. So I have a buffer that I append data to whenever new data is received from the COM port. What is the best way to search this buffer for any possible occurrences of my packet? For example: Say my packet delimiter is 0xFF and I have an array as such { 0x00, 0xFF, 0x02, 0xDA, 0xFF, 0x55, 0xFF, 0x04 } How can I create a function/LINQ-statment that returns all subarrays that start and end with the delimiter (almost like a sliding-correlator with wildcards)? The sample would return the following 3 arrays: {0xFF, 0x02, 0xDA, 0xFF}, {0xFF, 0x55, 0xFF}, and {0xFF, 0x02, 0xDA, 0xFF, 0x55, 0xFF}

    Hello everyone, I'm trying to perform a (CTRL-C) copy on a window. I've already managed to do this using SendInput but unfortunately that could fail if the window doesn't have focus. I'm trying to perform the same (CTRL-C) operation using SendMessage in C#. So far I haven't been successful in getting the WPARAM and LPARAM combination for this to work. I have also tried using SendMessage with the WM_COPY message but that didn't work for my needs. Please if anyone has done this before successfully using SendMessage I would greatly appreciate your help.

    What's the best way to create a gradle task, which runs a groovy script? I realize that gradle build files are groovy, so I would think it would be possible to do something like this: task run << { Script app = new GroovyShell().parse(new File("examples/foo.groovy")) // or replace .parse() w/ a .evalulate()? app.run() } I get all kinds of whacky errors when I try this if bar.groovy is using @Grab annotations or even doing simple imports. I want to create a gradle task to handle this, so that I can hopefully reuse the classpath definition. Would it be better to move the examples directory into the src directory somewhere? What's a best practice?

    I would like to run two XAMPP apache servers and mysql on one Windows computer. My first idea was to run one under directory XAMPP, the other under XAMPP_B. Why you ask? I have two applications that have to be in the "root" directory of localhost. Both servers do not have to be active at same time, so I don't think I will have any conflicts I will have to modify my.cnf in mySQL httpd.conf, apache_start and maybe other config files as well. Or maybe someone can suggest a better way...

Computer Spec: Windows 7 Running processes: 46 Running threads: +/- 650 NVidia GeForce 9200M GS Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26Ghz Game-spec with normal run: Memory: between 80 MB and 110 MB CPU: between 9% and 20% CPU when time rewinding: 90% The same values for the debugging session, except when I rewind the time: CPU: 20%. Is there any reason for? Is there a way to reach the same performance with a normal run.   • Start exe even with missing dependency dlls?

    In Dotnet2.0 and later a program refuses to start if one of its dependent (static referenced) dlls are missing. With Dotnet1.1 and 1.0 the program started but crashed later when trying to use functionality of the missing assembly. I wonder if there is something like a compiler switch , configuration option or a dotnet [attribute] to allow me to start the app when certain dlls are missing. Is it possible without moidfying the sourcecode (execpt by applying some Attriutes)? I don't want to manualy load assemblies by programcode or use IOC-Framworks. Update: With "static referenced dlls" i mean the opposite of dynamicly loading a dll in my own programcode using reflection and Assembly.Loadxxxx(). Update 2010-12-25: This scenario happens for example if you want to use Log4net with Dotnet4 clientprofile together with a WinForms-Aplication: Log4net requires System.Web.dll that is not in Dotnet4-Clientprofile. You must install dotnet4-web-support to use the winforms-aplication that is compiled against log4net unless there is some magic Compiler-switch/Attribute/Configuration that i am still looking for.

    The following code causes my vs 2008 wpf project to hang, I'm not sure why. Both Part 1 and Part 2 work perfectly fine independently, but when I run them together on an control event (click a button for example) the program hangs. I've also tried shell execute for part 2 - same results. However, this code when run within the form loaded event works fine. Any insights would be truly appreciated.     Hi Guys, I'm looking for ways to speed my program to the max and one way I thought of was to strip all DLL's being run at startup and run them when they need to be. As an example, I have a DLL containing info required for an update module, but I don't want to have that running in the program if I don't need it till I have an update. (I know I can create a separate program and link it to that but this is just an example.) Is there anyway to attach this on a button click? Sorry if I haven't made my question understandable. Thanks

    Hello, Full disclosure, I'm new to Visual Studio Web Tests and coding for them. I've written a webtest; coded in VB; it runs great. Our QA engineer wants to use this script for performance testing; but he wants the nice GUI that comes when you build a WebTest with the VS WebTest Editor and run it. Is there a way to run a coded webtest through this view? He wants to be able to view each test as it runs to see which pages are having issues, but within the GUI he's used to. Alternatively, I know I could just code something that writes out to a log file; but before I go with that solution; I just wanted to see if this is possible. Any constructive input is greatly appreciated.

    I want to get all midi (*.mid) files from a site that's set up pretty simple in terms of directory tree structure. I wish we had wget installed here, but that's another party.... The site is VGMusic.com and the path containing all of the midi files is: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/ I tried glob'ing it out, but I suppose that glob only works locally?
