• How to setup directories in Visual Studio when using boost?

  Hi, I have introduced boost to our code base, on my machine I created a boost directory called Thirdparty.Boost and added that as an additional include directory in my Visual Studio setting, all is fine. However I now want to check in my changes, so the rest of the team can get them. Inorder to build the code they would need to setup boost as I have (problem number 1). In addition we have a build server, which will need changing (problem 2). I have a way of distributing boost to everyone including the build server, so that's not a problem I need a way of referring to the boost directory without changing the default settings in Visual Studio. Why don't you change it on a project level I hear you cry? The solution has over 200 projects, which would require a lot of changes. I just wondered if there was another way? Cheers Rich

• What is the Browser version of a WebBrowser control in Windows Forms

  I'm building a Windows Forms application which makes use of the WebBrowser control. Can anyone tell me what rendering engine the control uses? Is it fixed based on the version of the .NET framework I'm developing against or is it based on the version of IE installed on the client's machine? Does the client even need IE? In other words, if a website looks right in my application on my machine, is it reasonably safe to assume it'll render right on everyone else's machine? Thanks!

• Why are the contents of my UITableViewCell disappearing?

  Hey everyone, I am learning about using the checkmark cell accessory and am wondering why the contents of my cell is disappearing when toggling it. I know about monitoring the Clipboard, but which clipboard would it be? the user's clipboard or the server's clipboard ? And what about drag-drop operation, which doesn't even pass through the clipboard? Any knowledge of whether SystemFileWatcher is useful in such case ? Any ideas ?

• Weird ViewControllers - iPhone SDK

  Hello everyone, I have a Tab-Bar Application for this iPhone application I am making. I make a simple button on the 3rd view (3rd tab), and give it an IBAction to give an alert view. When I press build and go, everything works out fine. I go onto the 3rd tab, and I press my button. It simply crashes... Why is this happening? Everything I put in this 3rd tab crashes. I create a simple view controller, and write the class files to start over, but I keep getting the same errors.. Everything works fine on my first tab, where I originally got the first view controller.. P.S It also says Incomplete Implementation of Class 'ThirdViewController'. I don't know why its there.. If anyone can help me out here, i would greatly appreciate it. Kevin

  Hi all. I need some opinions here. I'm working on a Django project using buildout to get the dependencies, etc... I use mercurial as DVCS. Now... I need to customize one of the dependencies, so I can do one of the following: (* The changes may not be useful for everyone else.) 1- Do a fork of the project in (github, bitbucket, etc...) maintain my version, and get the dependency with (mercurial or git) recipe. 2- Clone the project, put it in the PYTHONPATH, erase DVCS dirs and add it to my projects version. So every change will be private. Here I need to erase all the info from their DVCS or something. Any other you can think of. I'm missing something? I'm too off? Thanks!

I haven't started coding yet, I'm still in completing the SRS document and i should specify the test cases i'm going to implement after the coding. But now I have a problem in mapping from low level wav audio features to high level midi features. i.e. I need to write the extracted wav audio features on to midi format. • Python/Tkinter Audio Player

  Hey everyone reading this, I've recently got into doing GUI development with Python. Tkinter seems like the easiest and most logical choice starting out. I did a little with wxPython but it was more sophisticated than what I needed. Anyway, I'm developing a media player. Right now it's a simple window with a button to load .wav files. The problem is I would like to implement a pause button now. But, when playing a audio file the GUI isn't accessible again (no buttons can be pushed) till the file is done playing. How can I make the GUI dynamic while an audio file is playing? I was thinking this maybe be because I'm using PyAudio, and their implementation doesn't allow this. Anyway, thanks for any advice before hand.

• NHibernate WCF Bidirectional and Lazy loading

  Hi everyone, I'm just looking for some direction when it comes to NHibernate and WCF. At the moment i have a many to one association between a person and address. The first problem. I have to eager load the list of addresses so it doesn't generate a lazy loaded proxy. Is there a way to disable lazy loading completely? I never want to see it generated. The second problem.   Hello everyone. I'll cut right to the chase. Right now I am developing a web based application. It has a PHP REST based architecture that serves up XML documents. On many of these documents attributes are hex encoded picture strings. On the client side jQuery AJAX fetches an XML document with a picture in it. I need to display said picture in some <img> tags. However my knowledge on such methods is lacking so here I am asking for help. Goal: JavaScript String variable in hex or base64 HTML displayed image. To generate my two keys I used this piece of code : KeyPairGenerator keygen = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("RSA"); keygen.initialize(512); keyPair = keygen.generateKeyPair(); Once public and private key are generated, I would like to show them to the user so he can distribute the public key and use the private key to decode.   There is a library in python that I love called requests. requests is a http client build on urllib3, top-notch :) (http://docs.python-requests.org/en/latest/) I am looking for something similar in ruby, basically what I need is : Upload files support (multipart/form-data) Easy get/post Cookies can be passed from a response object to a request object (build manually login script) Stable and Flexible Sessions support (to not have to handle cookies manually if we don't have too) I've looked at Typhoeus, but the code example in the home page doesn't work (they have moved code along and the get method is not longer directly accessible like that), so it's not starting well! :) Curb seems nice and I like curl, there is alson RestClient which seems popular and em-http seems pretty fast according to benchmark. There is a aso Patron and CurlFu which I haven't have the time to try. And of course Net:Http. But it doesn't seems to have a main stream solution that everyone point. I think a lot of people have been in my situation and I wonder what they have choosen and why?
