  • How can I generate XML application configuration using Zend_Tool?

    When creating a new project using zf create project myproject it will create a default project layout with an application.ini in the configs folder. Where can I change these default settings so that it generates (and uses) an XML file (application.xml)? I've looked at the documentation for Zend_Tool (http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.tool.html), but there seems to be no information on how to do this. And suppose you'd like to use a different default folder layout (ie. use htdocs instead of public as your document root), is there a way to specify this as well? Any pointers to relevant information (btw I've looked at the Quickstart, nothing relevant is mentioned there unless I'm overlooking it)? edit I already tried creating a profile (stored in .zf/project/profiles), and used that to create a project (using zf create project myproject myprofile) but that doesn't change anything, even though the .zfproject.xml file in the root of the new project does contain the <applicationConfigFile type="xml"/> setting...     Hi, I'm trying to configure repication on SQL Server 2005. I can done it using wizard. But when I'm trying to run generated scripts by this wizard the error message appears: Msg 14013, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_MSrepl_addpublication, Line 159 This database is not enabled for publication. Msg 18757, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_MSrepl_addpublication_snapshot, Line 66 Unable to execute procedure. The database is not published. Execute the procedure in a database that is published for replication. Msg 14013, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_MSrepl_addarticle, Line 168 This database is not enabled for publication. Msg 14294, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_verify_job_identifiers, Line 25 Supply either @job_id or @job_name to identify the job. It's a bit strange, because when I'm running this query on database where I clicked and then removed publication, everyting is going well. The problem is when I'm using my query on new database. What is more I'm using sp_replicationdboption stored procedure. When I'm tryin to run it, it says: The replication option 'publish' of database 'ReplicationTest00' has already been set to true. Please help me resolve this issue.

Create a component that let you draw it like you want. Buy expensive component set that draws like you want. Do not use themes. OK, but I am still unhappy with that. Giving a user colored feedback for the status of a property/data he has on a form, seems legitimate to me. Then I just installed the MSVC# 2008 Express edition, and what a surprise, they can change the color of the font (property ForeColor of the check box) Then what? It does not seem to be a "it's designed like that, by Microsoft." then now the question again: How can I change the font color of a TCheckBox (or any handled control) with Delphi 7 through Delphi 2007 on a theme-enabled application?

  • Maximize/Minimize is causing Close Button to be re-enabled after disabling it -- Why?

    I have used P/Invoke to call GetSystemMenu and EnableMenuItem (win32api) to disable the close functionality. However, after minimizing or maximizing my Windows Forms application the button is re-enabled. Obviously minimizing or maximizing is causing the behavior, but how? I'm not sure where to look to prevent this behavior. Should I be preventing the maximize and minimize behavior or is there something particularly wrong with the way in which I P/Invoked the calls?   • How do I compress a Json result from ASP.NET MVC with IIS 7.5

    I'm having difficulty making IIS 7 correctly compress a Json result from ASP.NET MVC. I've enabled static and dynamic compression in IIS. I can verify with Fiddler that normal text/html and similar records are compressed. Viewing the request, the accept-encoding gzip header is present. The response has the mimetype "application/json", but is not compressed. I've identified that the issue appears to relate to the MimeType. When I include mimeType="*/*", I can see that the response is correctly gzipped. How can I get IIS to compress WITHOUT using a wildcard mimeType? I assume that this issue has something to do with the way that ASP.NET MVC generates content type headers. The CPU usage is well below the dynamic throttling threshold.   • In the context of semantic versioning, does a change in the default configuration warrant a new major version?

    My module is enabled by default (i.e. when you add the module). There's also a configuration you can optionally use, which supports an enabled="true|false" setting. This way the module can be disabled after it's been added, without the need to remove the module. But I realized the module doesn't play nicely with another module that is also enabled by default. I am considering changing my module so it's not be enabled by default. This would break for anyone that has not explicitly enabled it with the enabled="true" configuration setting. Should I wait for v2.0 for this? semver.org mentions the public API and breaking changes, not configuration. Is it generally accepted that configuration is part of the public API?

    For some reason bind9 seems to route wildcard DNS even though they are not defined anywhere? Accessing anyrandomstring.domain.com routes to the domain even though they are not explicitly defined anywhere? Neither is wildcard defined anywhere in the files in /var/cache/bind/ I typed sudo service bind9 reload a couple of times now. Any ideas? Update: also tried using rndc Update2: ran sudo service bind9 stop and then accessed a random subdomain and it got routed

  • How can I route all network traffic through Sonicwall Netextender VPN Client with Ethernet internet sharing enabled on a mac?

    I basically have a sonic wall firewall protecting a server which I want to SSL VPN log into with multiple computers. However, I would like to do this by having those computers (or router with computer) connected to a Mac's ethernet port (the vpn would be over wireless) through the internet sharing feature on the iMac. We use the provided Sonicwall Netextender VPN Client to connect to the firewall / server and would like to only have to use one SSL ID to cover all the computers by only having the central Mac sign in. Can anyone out there help me achieve this or tell me it isn't possible? Thank a lot.

I also have a remote host, and I don't know what operating system or SMB-support software is installed on that remote host; I only know that the remote host supports some version of the SMB protocol. How can I find out, from the command prompt (or PowerShell) of my Windows 7 machine, what version of SMB is supported by that remote host?     I'm writing procedures for configuring VirtualBox support for 64-bit SMP guests, which requires hardware virtualization suppot (VTx/Intel, AMD-V/AMD). I have successfully configured this myself, however I'd like the procedure to be clear. sed -ne '/^flags/s/^.*: //p' /proc/cpuinfo | egrep -q '(vmx|svm)' && echo Has hardware virt || echo No HW virt ... shows if the CPU is capable. I've still got to go enable the feature in BIOS. Any way to test from within Linux to see that this is no or not? Thanks.

  • Mimic NTFS "Modify" Permissions on an ext3 acl enabled filesystem in linux?

    I am migrating our file share from Windows Server to Samba on Linux, and the only hurdle I have at the moment is the acl's. Currently we have a number of directories that use the "Modify" permission on NTFS, so users can write to a directory, but once the file is written it cannot be modified. On Linux, I had the idea that I would set an ACL for the directory to have read/write access, but have a default ACL associated with read only access. Is this possible? I'm not quite sure how to set a default ACL that differs from the parent directory. Thanks!

  • Does kern.hz still have any relevance in FreeBSD if "dynamic tick mode" is enabled?

    I'm running a FreeBSD 9.0 setup as a virtual machine in a KVM setup. In previous versions of FreeBSD it was common to force the kern.hz setting to a lower value so that the virtual machine does not keep the host busy because it's handling timer interrupts without having any work to do - the FreeBSD Handbook explains: The most important step is to reduce the kern.hz tunable to reduce the CPU utilization of FreeBSD under the Parallels environment. This is accomplished by adding the following line to /boot/loader.conf: kern.hz=100 Without this setting, an idle FreeBSD Parallels guest OS will use roughly 15% of the CPU of a single processor iMac®. After this change the usage will be closer to a mere 5%. However, in FreeBSD 9, the "dynamic tick mode" (aka "tickless mode") is the default, controlled by the kern.eventtimer.periodic setting which defaults to 0 (read: tickless mode). This makes me wonder - does the tip of lowering kern.hz still have any relevance for making FreeBSD 9 play nicely in a virtual machine setup?

    I am running a headless server on Ubuntu 10.x. I am running Apache 2.2. I am writing a fastcgi application for deployment on the server. I remember reading a while back (I could be wrong) that running CGI (and by implication fastcgi) on a server, can provide 'backdoors' for potential attackers - or at the very least, could compromise the server if certain security measurements are not taken. My questions are: what are the security 'gotcha's that I have to be aware of if I am enabling mod_fastcgi on my Apache server? I want to run the fastcgi as a specific user (with restricted access) how do I do this?
