• Which keymap to use for wired mac keyboard in Gentoo Linux?

  I just purchase the new wired mac keyboard: Running on Gentoo Linux it works mostly fine. The only problem i am having is the function keys and swapping the alt and command keys to resemble a regular pc keyboard. When I tried switching to the "mac-us" keymap in /etc/conf.d/keymaps I got garbage when typing (not even qwerty). Is there any specific keymap that I can use to get what I want?

• Why does the "Logon Help" dialog show up on every boot?

  Every time I boot Windows XP Professional on my notebook, the Logon Help dialog (the one which tells you how to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete) automatically opens. How do I disable this? This did not always happen, but has been going on for quite a while now, with both SP2 and SP3. I'm using the classic logon screen, where you have to type in your username and password.

• Keyboard shortcut to minimize Remote Desktop

  Is there a way, using the keyboard, to switch from a maximized (full screen) Remote Desktop Connection back to the main computer? I have about 4 Remote Desktop connections that I am switching between and it would be nice to not have to go to the mouse each time I want to switch. I know I can press Ctrl+Alt+Break and that normalizes the remote desktop screen. That is close, but I would like a way to just minimize it (so I don't have to normalize-switch-maximize each time I want to switch screens)

  Whenever I open IE8, or a new tab in IE8, AVG will prompt a warning about thunder.dll as posing a threat and says that it is a trojan horse. The file is located at: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\thunder.dll Is this something I should be worried about? What should I do? I am using Windows 7 64bit with Internet Explorer 8.

• NetworkManager applet looks like it can't see network

  My system is Ubuntu 9.04. There is NetworkManager applet, but it looks like there are no networks. When I click it, there is disabled menu "Wired Network/device not managed". I have working eth0 interface, internet is working fine and I can see eth0 in ifconfig When I right-click and choose "Edit connections", there is only "Auto vboxnet0" under "Wired" tab. No "eth0". It shouldn't be a problem, but I cannot connect to VPN because of this :(

Right-click menu - properties does not provide a "Security" tab if more than one file/directory is selected (i.e. ctrl-click multiple files). But I can't do that in Foxit Reader (version 3.1.4.1125, using Windows Vista Home, Chinese Traditional) Example: I open 3 files: Page2.pdf Page3.pdf Page1.pdf which opens Foxit Reader with a tab for each file, in the order Page2.pdf Page3.pdf Page1.pdf Is there a way to change the order of the tabs to Page1.pdf Page2.pdf Page3.pdf ?   Go the new FF12 and I hit the "Inspect Element (Q)", i'm use to hitting "Inspect" and getting FireBug, now i get the FF inspection tool. It looks nice, but how do i turn it off? Not disable it, but stop inspecting the current page? I have to close the tab, when working on a large web application, have to sign back in and re-setup everything i was testing to get back to a normal view. Big waste of time.

• Why is my path not working in zshell?

  This is obviously really simple, but not if you don't know the answer :) I'm doing this in my .zsh PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" and if I do echo $PATH it appears as the first thing in the path. Yet this directory isn't included in the executable path (nor for tab-completion). What am I doing wrong? ls ~/scripts shows the directory as expected.

  I have a Logitech MK250 keyboard I use with my Macbook. One day the "minor/mayor than" and the "back slash" keys flip their functionality, so I have to hit "backslash" to get a "minor than" symbol and press the "alt + minor than" key to get the "backslash". Is there any way to reverse this annoying behavior? I often switch to Windows, where the keys work the expected way, and I'm always missing the right key.

On the status bar, check I click the Wireless icon, it said 'Open Network Preferences' And then in the Network Preference, I click 'AirPort' tab, the status said 'Inactive' But the 'Turn AirPort on' is disabled and the Network Name is disabled as well.
