    I have a collection of links which are being displayed on the index page. Whenever a user clicks a link I want to keep a track of the number of unique views. I know it can be done by tracking the ips whenever a click happens by request.remote_ip and then the link of the page that was clicked. Is there any better approach ? Any plugins etc.

I tried reverse('registration.views.register', kwargs={'success_url':'/test/' }) but that doesn't seem to work. I've been trying for hours and can't get my mind around getting it right. Thanks

    I have a number of users which are logged in at a time in my desktop application. They are working on the same table (create, read, update, delete data) so I have to update their views, to reflect changes, every few seconds - currently I am thinking to use a different thread to do that. I am using the MySQL database engine. Is there a way, using JDBC, to listen for changes on a specific table in the database and triggering a Java method only when changes are made?

    confusing title but the best way I can put it. Basically I am currently using a single div with overflow:auto that contains different GridViews. The GridViews are swapped by using a MultiView with each indiviudal view containing a single GridView. I would like to be able to store the scroll position of each view so that I can set the div's scroll position depending on the view that will be switched to.     I'm new to Django and have some code in my views.py like this: try: myfunction() except: assert False, sys.exc_info()[0] This is very helpful because I get an email with lots of useful info if there's an error. The problem is that it also redirects the user to a Webfaction system error page. What I'd like to know is how do I still get the useful error email, but redirect the user to my own error page? Also, is this the best way to be handling errors in Django?

  • YouTube .Net API - Not getting correct View Counts

    I've managed to plug away through the YouTube documentation, and have managed to successfully implement the majority of what I want to work. My question is, I get the video View count and it comes back lower than the actual video on YouTube. It was fine this morning and both showed correctly, but now my version is out by 4 views. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or can tell me if they update the values every 5/10/15/24 hours?

    I have a dev project setup in a subfolder on my testing machine and it must stay there. However all the Zend frameworks views are linked to server root. CSS are linked like: <link type="text/css" href="<?php echo $this->baseUrl('/css/frontend.css') ?>" rel="Stylesheet" /> Which must be stayed this way, but it should link to localhost/a/b/c/prj1/css/frontend.css How can I setup a global subdirectory for this?

    Hi there, Is there any site that show both OpenID and normal login on the same view? Most of the sites either have OpenID implementation or Normal Login implementation on different views. I tried to do that, but it seems my code is very dirty, passing a blank username and password if using OpenID, otherwise OpenID will be blank but passed the username and password. But then I lose the capability of verifying whether the user has entered the correct values, is there any best practice for me to do that? Thanks a lot

  • How should I interpret site analytics with 11 pageviews in an 3 second visit?

    I'm using google analytics and recently i've noticed some weird trends going on. I have a lot of visits that last mere seconds but mark several page views... more than a normal human can see in that range of time. A specific case is that the only visitor from Ireland i've had until now recorded 11 pageviews in a 3 second visit. Are these crawlers? Shouldn't google analytics filter those out?

    I am working on Silverlight 3.0 and currently using code-behind in my Views. I would like to implement the MV(VM) pattern into my project as the project is growing. I have seen some WPF projects where the code-behind has NO CODE except for the InitializeComponent method, which I believe is the right way to go and just looks clean. Is this possible in Silverlight 3.0, that is, no code-behind? Can anyone point me to some good Silverlight (3.0) MV(VM) tutorials / articles?
