• Auto populate Outlook with other users' calendars

  In Outlook 2007, when in Calendar view, there's a category (group) of calendars on the left hand bar titled "People's Calendars". We're migrating from a system where all employees have access to read and write to all other employees' calendars (via a 3rd party Web Calendar). Is it possible, from an admin level, to auto-populate this People's Calendars category in everyone's Outlook with all the employees in the company, and grant everyone read / write access to everyone else's calendars?   I have been advise by Commvault partner support to turn off the backup of the master database as the backup failed due to the log file being lock. The following is the advise given: "The message is caused by Commvault’s inability to backup the master database’s transaction log. If this is happening intermittently its possible that something is locking the transaction log, preventing SQL iData agent from accessing the log.   I have a pretty large 24" wide screen with a pretty high resolution. When I browse, some sites have a fixed layout and there is basically a narrow column. So I typically zoom in to the point just before the level where I have to scroll horizontally. Is there a browser plugin that auto-zooms in (or via a button or gesture or whatever) to the max available real estate? I'd prefer a plugin for Chrome, but Firefox will do too.

  I have an old r51 which i boot off usb. Apparently, if i have a toshiba 2gb thumbdrive similar to this plugged in, or an old imation 1gb drive plugged in, it won't boot at all- it freezes in the bios loading screen until its unplugged. I need to try it on another system but i'm wondering what could be causing it- since i suppose this is at a lower level than filesystem, and the drives work fine otherwise - even being readable if inserted after the system is booted from another source, with neither drive plugged in

Is there a way to do this in parallel - with multiple processes each responsible for copying a file - in a simple manner? I can easily write a multithreaded program to do this, but I'm interested in finding out if there's a low level Linux method for doing this.

  Hello The venerable EccoPro offered a great in-place outliner to organize tasks into sub-tasks, and add a Due Date to any item so that they would be also displayed in the Calendar (and in a Palm pilot if the used had one). It seems like Outlook only supports a single-level task list: Is there an add-on to Outlook to do this, or another application than Outlook provided it's also capable of syncing with a BlackBerry? I can add new control groups, and assign processes to them however there does not seem to be a facility for changing the paramters of the root level memory cgroup ( the actual mount point ). How would one best set such parameters in a clean manner withoput c For example, I've the memory cgroup mounted to /var/run/cgroup/memory. I'd like to have /var/run/cgroup/memory/memory.use_hierarchy set to 1 on boot.

FYI--I connected to the target sql server with Windows Authentication. What do I need to do in Sql Server 2005 and/or in Windows Server 2003 to get permissions? At some random hours (5:59 localtime in the following example) it goes 1 hour back and keeps doing this again and again next times it reaches 5:59. Like this: 5:59-4:59 … 5:59- 4:59 and so on. It stays in the loop until I manually update its time. • Use Dropbox as Offsite Enterprise Backup Solution [on hold]

  For my small company, I'm using Tomahawk Backup as the enterprise offshore solution, as it covers files, databases and Exchange (brick level). The problem is the price... it costs more than 10x the price of Dropbox (and others) for the same space (120GB), and doesn't have de-duplication. So I'm wondering: assuming there is no problem with backing up files only (ie copying the exchange store file and the db files to the Dropbox folder), would Dropbox be suitable as the offsite backup solution? • Why does a hard disk suddenly look to Windows as if it "needs to be formatted"?

  This is more of a theory question, but what are the reason(s) for a disk to suddenly cause Windows to start saying it "needs to be formatted"? It happens to an IDE disk that I have in a cheap external enclosure, and I can usually get most of the data back by using software like recuva. It's now happened to an internal disk I have. I'm not looking for software to fix this (although links would be appreciated), but rather a low-level explanation as to what gets corrupted on the disk.

  Fn + F6 - backlight turns off immediately, image stays (visible if shine something at the display) xset dpms force {off,suspend,standby} - backlight turns off slowly, image cleared. How to programmatically just turn off backlight on Acer Extensa 5220 laptop in Linux? It should work fast and should not touch image (unlike xset method). Ideally if I could rapidly switching backlight off and on emulate lower_than_minimum brightness level (ideally - to be hardly visible (but visible) at night).
