• Code review tool for Vault

  We're using Vault from SourceGear as our source control repository. Does anyone know if there's a code review tool that can work with Vault, or something that can work with local files ? • Searching in Xcode not finding results (searching my source)

  I'm pulling my hair out on this and Google results are skewed since it thinks I want to find out how to code something. My problem is that when trying to search my code with the String Matching box it finds nothing, even if I enter something that is on the screen below. Is it Spotlight that is delivering these results? I'm not excluding anything in my Spotlight index so should I just rebuild the index? Thanks for any help you can offer.

• Iphone MPMoviePlayerController "the server is not correctly configured" ?

  On the iphone, when trying to play a broken url using MPMoviePlayerController the user gets an alertbox with the message "the server is not correctly configured". Is there any way to change this to something more user-friendly? Alternatively, is there any way to get an error status from the player instead of getting this message? Thanks in advance..

  My site is requesting a remote image which is being transferred with the wrong MIME type. I was wondering how might I override it in PHP to tell it that it's an image? • A .tlb file must be registered?

  Hello, I have a com interop c++ dll that is loaded in c++ throught the .tlb file generated in c#. When I run in my computer it works fine but when I run in a computer that just got formated it gives: WindowsError: exception code 0xe0434f4d Do I have to do something for the .tlb file or its dll to be registered in the system? Something regarding regasm.exe? If so, it is possible to only download regasm.exe and use it? Thanks in advance!

  I have a Permissions class with methods in fluent style like this: somePermissions.setRead(true).setWrite(false).setExecute(true) The question is, whether I should name these methods set{Property} or only {property}. The latter would look like this: somePermissions.read(true).write(false).execute(true) If I look at these methods separately I would expect that read reads something, but on the other hand it is closer to the intention to have something like named paramaters like in Scala: Permission(read=true, write=false, execute=true)

• Free-as-in-beer binary file format inspector

  I am looking for a utility that gives me the ability to specify a binary file format and then interpret a file of bytes according to that format. (Something along the lines of the 010 Editor, but infinitely more cost-effective). Something that runs on Mac OS X would be preferred, but I'm interested to see what all is out there in general (while more of a hassle I'd be willing to run a tool on Windows if it were superior.) What's your preference?

  Hi, I recently moved my website to a new host and now am experiencing some broken code.. I have an uploading script that is now returning this: move_uploaded_file() failed to open stream: Permission denied in *.. I've set the upload directory to 777 which worked fine, but my script is needed to have top level permissions.. (As the script itself sets permission to directories, does lots of copying etc) Is there a way in apache I can set the PHP script to the owner of all the folders on my server? Thanks

• Can an iPhone/iPod Touch application open a port for remote communication without jailbreaking?

  I'm researching remote control testing for an app that'll be installed on the new iPod Touch and can't tell for certain from everything that I've read whether or not an installed app can or can't open any ports for remote test instructions (that's a mouthful : ) We created something like this for the Android using adb port forwarding and telnet, and it worked really well. Is there any chance something similar could be done on an iPhone or iPod without jailbreaking??

• Working with processes in C

  Hi, just a quick question regarding C and processes. In my program, I create another child process and use a two-directional pipe to communicate between the child and parent. The child calls execl() to run yet another program. My question is: I want the parent to wait n amount of seconds and then check if the program that the child has run has exited (and with what status). Something like waitpid() but if the child doesn't exit in n seconds, I'd like to do something different.

Do I create an entirely new domain model for the UI, and where is this kept in the project structure...in the domain layer, the UI layer, etc?
