• What to do with a site that has multiple languages in Google Analytics...

  We have a site that has four "streams" for language and each language has different content based on that language and location (US English, Spanish, Canadian English and Canadian French). I'm wondering if I have to set up accounts for each stream so that we can see the stats from each stream only, or do I use one account and somehow tell GA to separate the different streams based on language. For example, the US English site starts at (/en/) while the Canadian English site starts at (/ca_en/), etc.

• Determining cause of random latency/loading issues

  I'm not sure exactly what details to post in regards to my issue, because I'm not sure what is relevant. Prior to the end of September my websites all loaded quickly, in almost all cases. Loading time wasn't usually more than a few seconds. However, since the end of September I noticed a big increase in page loading times. In some cases pages were taking 30 seconds or more to load. I do have a remote monitoring service monitoring some of the sites as well, and the image below shows the response times over the past month. The response times shown at the beginning of this graph were what the usual response times were prior to this issue occurring. You can see that there has been a significant increase in response times from the beginning to the end of this graph. The thing is, the problem is not happening 100% of the time. If I click through the site, or even just keep refreshing the page, about 25% of the time the pages load quickly, the remaining 75% of the time they load slowly. Sometimes the pages take so long to load that they time out, and don't load at all. I have contacted my hosting provider, and they said things at their end was fine. I don't believe the problem is my home internet provider, because all other websites load without a problem. The server is located in Texas, USA. This also raises another interesting point. My remote monitor checks my site from two locations, California, USA, and London, England. As you can see in the chart below the response time is actually shorter when checked from London, which doesn't seem to make sense, since the server is physically closer to the California monitoring location. I would have expected the London monitoring location to have higher response times since they are physically farther away. I should also point out that in some traceroute test I've done it seem like the first connection to the server seems to take the longest, then after that the rest of the page loads quickly. Below is a little chart showing the times for the first connection to the server. So, what could be causing this problem, and what steps can I take to resolve it or at least narrow down the problem? Sending the request to the server was very quick, and receiving the reply back seems pretty quick, but the WAIT time is really long. So it connects, sends the request, but then waits close to 30 seconds before it starts receiving data back. I am also aware that there are things I can do to speed up page loading times, like reducing the number of css/js files used on a page, compressing images, etc. This is not really what the source of the problem is though, because nothing has really changed on the site since before the problem started, and other sites on the same server are loading slowly as well. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

• How can I obtain mp3 metadata to rename them? [closed]

  I am planing on writing an application using Vala. Its purposed is to import mp3 files from a location and rename them if necessary. The renaming information should be provided by the ID3 tags in the mp3 file such as the title and the number of the song. My target platform is Ubuntu (Linux). As the question says, I am searching for how can I achieve this on Vala. I think this functionality might be provided by Gstreamer.

• ScissorStack LIBGDX example?

  I cant find a good resource/tutorial on how to do this. I would appreciate it if someone could provide a scissorstack example from an entity class. ie. using scissorstack on PlayerClass such that the map renders around the Player sprite, say 5 tiles. which would then allow me to create a Pawn class and apply same methodology to give a pawn sprite a lower number, like only rendering 1 tile around the location of the pawn.

  Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) 4.28 was released on 12th June. Full details can be found in this My Oracle Support documentRDA 4 Release Notes [ID 414970.1]From a Fusion Middleware Core Component, Install and Administration perspective this latest release does not offer any significant new features or changes. However, despite the lack of Fusion Middleware specific new features in version 4.28, Remote Diagnostic Agent still comes as highly recommended. It is incredibly useful problem solving / troubleshooting aid. Support engineers dealing with Service Requests often request RDA output as it collects just about everything you might need to get a view of the state and configuration of the host operating system, network setup and Fusion Middleware components. To find out more take a look at Running RDA Against Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g [ID 853437.1] Getting Started With Remote Diagnostic Agent: Case Study - Oracle WebLogic Server (Video) [ID 1262157.1] Note: While the latter document looks at RDA from the perspective of WebLogic Server, much of the advice given in the videos can be applied to other Fusion Middleware products.Ok, let's get back on track with the topic suggested by the title. Upgrade RDA via OCM (Oracle Configuration Manager) Refer to the advice given in: Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) Upgrade README [ID 1309034.1] OR 2. Manually download and upgrade to the latest version. To quote from Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) 4 - FAQ [ID 330363.1] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ How do I upgrade my RDA 4.x installation from the prior release? The most simplest and reliable way to upgrade your RDA installation is delete or move your old installation to a new location. Then install the new release into the location you had the prior release installed. If you want to reuse you old setup.cfg file, you can place the older version into the new <rda> directory and it will try to upgrade your setup.cfg to the new features. A second approach is to install the latest RDA into another directory, then if needed copy the old setup.cfg file to the new RDA directory.   I've been downloading images from the Internet doing drag&drop while holding the Ctrl key. Using Google Chrome, and of course Nautilus, it used to work fine. But I recently had problems with packages and now every time I do that a warning menu appears showing this message: The specified location is not supported Probably I removed the packaged which allowed me to download content... can anybody help me? Note: Downloading doing right-click works, but I use more drag&drop.

  We have previously covered how to send the contents of a text file to the Windows Clipboard with a simple Send To shortcut, but what if you want to do the opposite? That is: send the contents of the clipboard to a text file with a simple shortcut. No problem. Here’s how. Copy the ClipOut Utility While Windows offers the command line tool ‘clip’ as a way to direct console output to the clipboard, it does not have a tool to direct the clipboard contents to the console. To do this, we are going to use a small utility named ClipOut (download link at the bottom). Simply download and extract this file to a location in your Windows PATH variable (if you don’t know what this means, just extract the EXE to your C:\Windows folder) and you are ready to go. Add the Send To Shortcut Open your Send To folder location by going to Run > shell:sendto Create a new shortcut with the command: CMD /C ClipOut > Note the above command will overwrite the contents of the selected file. If you would like to append to the contents of the selected file, use this command instead: CMD /C ClipOut >> Of course, you could make shortcuts for both. Give a descriptive name to the shortcut. You’re finished. Using this shortcut will now send the text contents copied to your Windows Clipboard to the selected file. It is important to note that the ClipOut tool only supports outputting text. If you had binary data copied to your clipboard, then the output would be empty. Changing the Icon By default, the icon for the shortcut will appear as a command prompt, but you can easily change this by editing the properties of the shortcut and clicking the Change Icon button. We used an icon located in “%SystemRoot%\System32\shell32.dll”, but any icon of your liking will do. As an additional tweak, you can set the properties of the shortcut to run minimized. This will prevent the command window from “blinking” when the send to command is run (instead it will blink in your taskbar, which is hardly noticeable). Links Download ClipOut Utility

  I am new using xgettext command So I don't know what am I doing wrong. I put the command xgettext -n *.php -o --output='/home/public/sample' in my script but I get an error: xgettext: cannot create output file "--output=/home/public/sample": No such file or directory But when I run xgettext -n *.php - messages.po file gets created in my current directory! Is there a way to specify the location where to create messages.po file?

  Where do I find this drivers on my .iso image for the server software, or what is the ftp: location to download these files as those are the two options i am given on how to solve this issue. ubuntu-server 11.10, hardware: dell r210 what I am reading is that I am possibly missing 'mpt2sas' driver somewhere in this boot disc.   Once application is maximized (say "Cheese") how can I restore its size back to the original? Is it possible to drag-and-drop from one application to another application in Unity? If so, how can I do that? Suppose I have a Rhythmbox open and I would like to drag a picture from a Desktop location (actually where is it?) to Rhythmbox album art section in the lower left corner? Unity was poorly designed, IMHO.

  I am using an Ubuntu 12.10 (ARMHF) distribution on a panda board. I want to run applications compiled for ARMEL. It was not possible due to a changed dynamic loader location (https://wiki.linaro.org/OfficeofCTO/HardFloat/LinkerPathCallApr2012) I succeeded by creating the following symbolic link /lib/ld-linux.so.3 - /lib/ld-linuxarmhf.so.3 Is there a way to install a portability package instead? Is there a reason why this is not done by the distribution? Thanks in advance

• Can casper use a squashfs in the initrd?

  I've built a very large initrd containing a full squashfs from a desktop image, and used it to boot a machine over PXE. Unfortunately, casper cannot seem to locate the squashfs, since it's not present on any of the block devices it scans. Is there some way I can force it to check the initrd, or point to a filesystem location there in the bootfrom parameter? I've tried using bootfrom=/ with the casper directory in the root of the initrd, and that didn't seem to work.
