How can this be done in jQuery?

  I have two colluections List<Application> myApps; List<Application> yourApps; These lists have overlapping overlapping data but they are coming from different sources and each source has some missing field data. Application object has a property called Description Both collections have a unique field called Key i want to see if there is a LINQ solution to: Loop through all applications in myApps and look at the key and see if that existing in yourApps. If it does, i want to take the description property from that application in yourApps and set the description property on the application on myApps to that same value i wanted to see if there was any slick way using lambda expressions (instead of having to have loops and a number of if statements.)

Since I may have 100 divs, I don't want to create a click handler for each (they'll all practically do the same thing). • Refactoring two methods down to one

  I have two methods that almost do the same thing. They get a List<XmlNode> based on state OR state and schoolType and then return a distinct, ordered IEnumerable<KeyValuePair<string,string>>. I know they can be refactored but I'm struggling to determine what type the parameter should be for the linq statement in the return of the method (the last line of each method). • Replacing one image with another image through ajax makes it dissappear for a split second

  I have the following code (asp.net-mvc, jquery) (i have simplified the example to show the issue) where i want to click on an image and have it replaced with another image. This works fine but the first time i click it, the original image disappears (for a split second) before the other image shows up. After that it works seamlessly. Is there any way to eliminate this quirk so there is not split second where no image is shown?   I write a greasemonkey script that adds sticky notes to websites. Because there sometimes are pretty strange style rules used in some websites the sticky notes sometimes turn up messed up (or at least not looking like I want them to look). Is there a way to say "under this element do not apply any generic stylerules"? So that rules associated with tag names are not applied, but rules associated with certain classes and ids still are. Or does anyone have a better idea on how to ensure that only my styles are applied to the sticky notes?

Basically, I am taking a string array and trying to check to see if it contains numbers or an x (ISBN number validation). I want to take the number from a given input (bookNum), check the input, and feed any valid input into a new array (book). At the line 'bookNum.charAt[j]==book[i]' I get the 'not a statement error'.   I am trying to create a method in which I can exequte mysql UPDATE, DELETE or INSERT query. The method must work when with an INSERT I ask or do not ask the last_insert_id().   I have the following query that gets run within a proc. The function MyFunction returns a table, and this query joins on that table. This proc works great when a @MyArg value is supplied. However, I’m wondering if there’s a way to run this on all @MyArg values in the database. I’m sure there’s a way to do it within a loop, but I know that loops are generally to be avoided at the db layer. I really just need to perform this for the sake of checking (and possibly cleansing) some bad data.
