  • Detect EXIF Orientation of an image in javascript

    - by Obi Wan
In my mobile web application, I have a need to examine the EXIF orientation tag of an image file selected using an input type=file control, and this needs to be done on the client side in javascript, before the selected image file gets uploaded to the server. I have seen several threads similar to this but most of them say to use a library called binaryajax.js to be able to access the EXIF data from the file object. Unfortunately, simply including binaryajax.js in my project causes an Access Denied error in jQuery 1.7.1, and I have no idea why this is happening. This error precludes me from using this jquery library. So I am looking for a solution that does not use this library. Another library I have tried to use is jquery.exif.js and I also get an Access Denied Error Trying to use it.

  • UITableView not showing background image.

    - by K.Honda
I have a uitableview with 2 cells (custom tableviewcells) and a button for login. I made them programmatically. Now I want to put a background image behind the 2 custom cells and the button. I went into IB and put the image view on top of the tableview and then put a picture on it which I want as the background. Then I went into viewDidLoad and put this bit of code tblSimpleTable.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; to clear the tableviews background colour. It now looks like this: But the background does not appear. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

  • iPhone SDK: Keep an image from scrolling with a UIScrollView

    - by Wudstock
Hi, I've been searching all over for an easy way to do this. Right now I have a UIScrollView setup as my main view. There's an Image on the left and a column of TextFields on the right. When any TextField is tapped, the keyboard comes up and hides the bottom TextField. So I have the ScrollView move up to unhide the bottom TextField. Question #1: Is there a way to have it respond to a specific TextField instead of all of them? Question #2: Is there a way to keep the Image on the left static so it doesn't move with the TextFields? Thanks in advance for any help.

  • jQuery image loop not displaying any images

    - by user1871097
I'm trying to create a very basic image gallery in jQuery. The goal is to have 3 images fade in and out in a sequential order. So image 1 is displayed, fades to image 2 etc. then the whole thing loops again. My HTML code so far is as follows: <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Slider</title> <style type="text/css"> .slider{ width: 2848px; height: 2136px; overflow: hidden; margin: 30px auto; } .slider img{ width:2848px; height:2136px; display:none; } </style> <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.9.2/jquery-ui.min.js"></script> <script src="Slider2.js"></script> </head> <body onload="Slider2"();> <div class="slider"> <img id="1" src="31.jpg" border="0" alt="city"/> <img id="2" src="2vrtigo2.jpg" border="0" alt="roof"/> <img id="3" src="3.jpg" border="0" alt="sea"/> </div> </body> And the jQuery code looks like this: function Slider2() { var total = $(".slider img").size(); for (i=1; i<=total; i+=1) { $(".slider #"+i).fadeIn(600); $(".slider #"+i).delay(2000).hide; }} A quick syntactical note, I've also tried using i++ in the last argument of the For Loop. The result of this code is a blank, white page. I know some of the HTML is being compiled because the enormous 2848x2136 div creates scroll bars on the browser. If anyone could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. Obviously I'm relatively new to web programming and would love some insight into why this isn't working. Thanks!

    - by user1314379
I am trying to build an app which will compare the two images and gives the Matching Percentage. I am taking two Images from The camera(Making use of UIImagePickerController) and saving it to the document directory. Then i fetch these images in a different view controller to get the face part, using CIDetector API and CIfacefeature API. The problem is It is not detecting the face at all through i am able to fetch the images properly. And if i store the same image in the main bundle it detects. I dnt know where the problem is. I have tried everything. May Be the problem is with the UIImage or may be the format in which image is getting saved in document directory or with the camera. Please help. I will be grateful to you. • Windows 8 Set User Account Image

    - by Nexion
I'm trying to write a small CONSOLE (not metro style) app to quickly change the user account image of the current user to a select image for a setup scrip that I'm running on a bunch of laptops. They're all Windows 8 and (since it hasn't been out terribly long) I can't find a ton of info on it. I did manage to figure out that you need to use the Windows.System.UserProfile object to do so, but I can't find any documentation on how to do so in a console app. Thoughts? Suggestions?

So i cant get the jquery correct for this one, whatever i try it returns the wrong width. I wish to make the image within the "img-shadow" div the same size as the image right before it. Notice this will repeat several times on the page. <p> <img src="" alt=""> <div class="img-shadow"> <img src="" alt=""> </div> </p> I hope you don't shake your heads too much on at me on this one, it seems super simple, but .prev .find .closest hasn't worked for me.
