• WiX: Define made in included file not avaible from wxs-file.

When I attempt to reference the defined value I get Undefined preprocessor variable '$(var.MAGE_FOLDER)' back in my face. I guess there is something trivial I am missing here... • asp.net mvc2 ajax.actionlink is not working refresh problem

• Create javadoc with multiple src dirs

  I have a Util package with source files in three seperate directories, defined like so: src/com/domain/util src/Standard/com/domain/util src/Extended/com/domain/util The package is built with the first set of files and either one of the second or third set, to create a total of two different implementations of the same interface. Now, I want to generate javadoc based on those files. How can I specify that? What I really want to do is javadoc com.domain.util -sourcepath ./src;./src/Standard to build the javadoc for the standard util package, and javadoc com.domain.util -sourcepath ./src;./src/Extended to build the javadoc for the extended util package. This doesn't work. The only way I've found so far to actually make it work is to merge the directory structure of the common classes and the Standard classes into another location and run with that for the standard javadoc, then do the same for the Extended package. Is there another way?

My goal is to reduce a number of revalidation requests to our the origin server. For instance: The first request goes to the origin server and then mod_cache save a response in to the cache according to header cache-control: max-age. And only when max-age is expired then mod_cache will revalidate with if-none-match. Currently, mod_cache revalidate each request, regardless that max-age is defined or not.   In SSMS 2008, I am trying to execute a stored procedure in a database on another server. The call looks something like the following: EXEC [RemoteServer].Database.Schema.StoredProcedureName @param1, @param2 The linked server is set up correctly, and has both RPC and RPC OUT set to true. Security on the linked server is set to Be made using the login's current security context. When I attempt to execute the stored procedure, I get the following error: Msg 18483, Level 14, State 1, Line 1 Could not connect to server 'RemoteServer' because '' is not defined as a remote login at the server. Verify that you have specified the correct login name. I am connected to the local server using Windows Authentication. Anyone know why I would be getting this error?

• Can I use XText for a DSL involving an XML file type?

  I have defined a small DSL that is mostly written in the form of different types of XML files in conjuction with some property files. This works very well but I wish to create an Eclipse Editor to make editing these files easier for beginners (I already have a working parser). The main XML file can reference some items from the .properties files and vice-versa. THe main xml file can also reference other XML files. Certain options should only be available in the main xml file based on the contents of the .properties files and based on some osgi plugins that can be added to the DSL project (the syntax is dynamic depending on context). The structure of the language is fixed but the options available in each attribute or the choice of attributes themselves changes depending on metadata contained in plugin .jar files. Questions: Does XText support dynamic syntax (validation changes depending on external factors)? Does XText support XML files / .properties files? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

  I'm looking for the best way to store per-Build configuration information for an iPhone app. In my iPhone app there are several url's and storage location settings that are specific to a particular build (DEBUG RELEASE etc) Currently i have three recipients for my app, QA/Test, myself and the customer, each has specific settings for the url's and storage locations mentioned above. whats the best way to do this? NOTE: they don't necessarily have to be defined in the build but what im looking for is advice on the best way to store alternate configuration settings. The key has been inferred and the definition was created as a read-only table/view." And it decides that the CompletedDateTime field will be this entity primary key. We are using EdmGen to generate the model. Is there a way not to have the entity framework include any field of this view as a primary key? Thanks for help.

  so i got this piece of code. (currPosX is defined earlier) while (earliestDate < DateTime.Today) { currPosX = currPosX + 5; e.Graphics.DrawLine(Pens.Black, currPosX, 0, currPosX, 10); earliestDate = earliestDate.AddDays(1); } the graphics don't draw. it's really weird, since this only happens when the condition statement is a date comparison. I debugged, and it does go in the loop, and the values are messed with (currPosX for example). But, no display. one more weirdness, if I add a MessageBox.Show("blabla") in the loop, the message box pops up, and graphics are drawn. what's going on here?

No I ask myself why is it possible, to access flickr directly with this example.   I'm adding a user defined function to Excel with varargs-based signature in C++: XLFUNCTIONIMP(MyFunction)(...); When Excel calls MyFunction, it passes it 30 arguments regardless of how many the user entered in the sheet. The extraneous ones are blank strings. MyFunction, however, is designed to accept empty string arguments. As a result, I cannot tell valid empty strings apart from the extraneous ones sent by Excel. A solution could be to obtain the contents of the actual cell where the user entered the function. However, I can't find a way of doing that from within the implementation of my function. Could someone please suggest a way out?

  Hi, I'm executing IronPython in my application. A script produces an UnboundNameException with the message "name 'source' is not defined". Because the script is correct in my opinion I would need more error information, but I'm not able to get them from the exception. The exception itself seems not to contain any information about line number of the source of the exception or something like this. I searched on Google, but all available information seems to be outdated. The Data dictionary of my exception is empty which means that Data["PythonExceptionInfo"] does not exist. The file version of my IronPython assembly is 2.0.20209.0 Any hint how to get more error details? cheers, Achim

• Access Git Repository using Eclipse and Netbeans Plugins with LDAP Users

  Hello everyone! I've configure a git server. I need to use ssh because I've defined permissions using users of my domain, using LDAP. Only users with permissions could read a project. So, the links to access my repositories are like that: ssh://[email protected]@hostname/var/git/repo.git When I clone, commit or push a project using linux git commands or using tortoisegit on windows, there is no problem, everything works as expected. However, I've tried to clone a project using plugins from Eclipse (EGit) and Netbeans (NBGit), with no success. Seems that they can't recognize the host. I've accessed using a user from the server (not from the domain) and it cloned the project perfectly. Seems that the plugins assume that the host is everything after the first @.   I have a list of color values encoded as signed integers (OLE I think) in a legacy INI file that I need to translate into (A)RGB values with .NET. An INI example: [INI_Section] Color=-2147483633 Doing something like: Color.FromArgb(-2147483633) gives an alpha-blended version of a color that is not at all what I expect. I think that a value like -2147483633 is supposed to represent a system-defined, or named color like ButtonFace. Is there a .NET method for translating these legacy colors properly? • Swing combo boxes

  Alright, so I'm simply defining a combo box like so... JComboBox yearSelect = new JComboBox(); Now, I have not even added this to a panel or anything, I've just defined it. When I run the app, nothing displays.. when I comment out this line.. the app displays the other panels like I want it to.. is there something I'm doing wrong? Maybe I'm forgetting something that has to do with combo boxes? I think it may be something stupid that I'm missing.

• Getting weird python error when I run a simple django script in Eclipse, not happening in console

  I am running a basic script that sets up the django environment by itself, to enable me to test the ORM features of django without having to implement web pages. The script then imports one of the types defined in my models. This error doesn't happen when I run this script from iPython, only from eclipse.   when we want to define a Template in our user controls we declare a field like this in our user controls public ITemplate MyTemplate { get; set; } so that the user defined templates contents will be represented in MyTemplate, and you can use it. and there are ways to customize the templates, for example [TemplateInstanceAttribute(TemplateInstance.Single)] public ITemplate MyTemplate { get; set; } the above example will enable defines single instance Templates(http://www.nikhilk.net/SingleInstanceTemplates.aspx). i accidentally came across single instance templates and blown away by the power of it. my question is what are all the things possible with ITemplates?? how do we define(use) them (more specifically thru annotations). is there any good documentation available for ITemplates?? (please dont point to msdn)

• Listing all shared memory segments used by a process on AIX5.3+

  I would like to find all shared memory segments used by a given process. I am especially interested in figuring out the shmid so i can use it in calls to shmctl(). On Solaris i would just read /proc/$PID/map to figure out that information (field pr_shmid). The contents of that file are defined by struct prmap_t in sys/procfs. AIX also has a /proc/$PID/map file. There is also a struct prmap but unfortunately it is missing the pr_shmid field. Any ideas how i can achieve this on AIX5.3+?

• Perl When is using AUTOLOAD OK?

  In "Perl Best Practices" the very first line in the section on AUTOLOAD is: Don't use AUTOLOAD However all the cases he describes are dealing with OO or Modules. I have a stand alone script in which some command line switches control which versions of particular functions get defined. Now I know I could just take the conditionals and the evals and stick them naked at the top of my file before everything else, but I find it convenient and cleaner to put them in AUTOLOAD at the end of the file. Is this bad practice / style? If you think so why, and is there a another way to do it?
