  • Android sending SOAP object over Https via ksoap2 2.5.8

    My first time posting a question here so please do not mind my mistakes here. I'm currently making an android application fetching and sending information from a .asmx web service. Everything goes well with the ksoap2 library and am using HttpTransportSE to call the web service. So now what I'm trying to do is to use the HttpsTransportSE to call the web service over Https. I got java.security.cert.certpathvalidatorexception trustanchor for certpath not found exception. I have the server certificate in .pfx , .jks and .bks format. My questions is what do i do with it to make my HttpsTransportSE call to be success? I've read around with articles using custom SSLSocketFactory but am still not sure how to implement it in my application. Thanks in advance for any suggestion/advices

    Hi, hoping to get some help with this query, I've worked at it for a while now and can't get it any faster: SELECT date, count(id) as 'visits' FROM dates LEFT OUTER JOIN visits ON (dates.date = DATE(visits.start) and account_id = 40 ) WHERE date >= '2010-12-13' AND date <= '2011-1-13' GROUP BY date ORDER BY date ASC That query takes about 8 seconds to run. I've added indexes on dates.date, visits.start, visits.account_id and visits.start+visits.account_id and can't get it to run any faster. Table structure (only showing relevant columns in visit table): create table visits ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `account_id` int(11) NOT NULL, `start` DATETIME NOT NULL, `end` DATETIME NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; CREATE TABLE `dates` ( `date` date NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`date`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1; dates table contains all days from 2010-1-1 to 2020-1-1 (~3k rows). visits table contains about 400k rows dating from 2010-6-1 to yesterday.     I have a program that will read the number of rows and columns from a txt file. Also, the program has to read the contents of a 2D array from the same file. Here is the txt file 8 20 * * *** *** 8 and 20 are the number of rows and columns respectively. The spaces and asterisks are the contents of the array, Array[8][20] For example, Array[0][1] = '*' I did make the program reading 8 and 20 as follow: ifstream myFile; myFile.open("life.txt"); if(!myFile) { cout << endl << "Failed to open file"; return 1; } myFile >> rows >> cols; myFile.close(); grid = new char*[rows]; for (int i = 0; i < rows; i++) { grid[i] = new char[cols]; } Now, how to assign the spaces and the asterisks to to the fields in the array?     Hi there I'm in the midst of a university project and have decided to implement a method that can accept information from a text file (in this instance called "locations.txt"). input from the text file will look like this: London 345 456 Madrid 234 345 Beinjing 345 456 Frankfurt 456 567 The function looks like this currently (and you will notice I am missing the While condition to finish adding input when reaches end of text in locations.txt, i tried using eof but this didnt work?!).   • PHP/Codeigniter FTP Timout

    I'm trying to access an FTP server from my PHP script using Codeigniter's FTP Library. These functions work great, but when testing the script I discovered that if I attempt to connect to a server that does not exist, the script does not terminate with an error message of any kind. The page continues to execute, until the web server gives up, returning an empty document. So I am wondering, is there a way to limit the amount of time that Codeigniter can try to connect to an FTP server, then display a message if that times out? I tried using the php function set_time_limit(), but it does not behave how I expected it to. Thanks for your help.

  • How to add indexes to MySQL tables?

    I've got a very large MySQL table with about 150,000 rows of data. Currently, when I try and run SELECT * FROM table WHERE id = '1'; the code runs fine as the ID field is the primary index. However, recently for a development in the project, I have to search the database by another field. For example SELECT * FROM table WHERE product_id = '1'; This field was not previously indexed, however, I've added it as an index but when I try to run the above query, the results is very slow. An EXPLAIN query reveals that there is no index for the product_id field when I've already added one and as a result the query takes any where from 20 minutes to 30 minutes to return a single row.   • How to make sure no scripts except those under my own domain, can include the db connection file?

    I would like to ensure that any scripts that are trying to "include" my database connection file are located under my own domain. I don't want a hacker to include the database connection file to their malicious script and gain access to my database that way. My connection file's name is pretty easy to guess, it's called "connect.php". So without renaming it and taking the security through obscurity route, how can I protect it by making sure all connection requests are made by scripts residing under my own domain name? How can this be checked using PHP?

  • Is it possible to manipulate the format on a DataGridView that is bound to a Data Source?

    I´m using SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, C#. In the data source (the SQL Server data table) I use the date format mm/dd/yyyy, however, in a forms overview (DataGridView) users would like to see a completely other format, with year, week number and day number of week (yyww,d). I´ve created an algorithm for this transformation, but can I populate the affected cells with yyww,d instead of mm/dd/yyyy? And in that case - how would I do it? I guess I need to do it after the cells are populated, but before they are shown. The generic question is - how do I manipulate the format of Data Source bound DataGridView cells.

It just seems like it isn't being called.     I'm just starting with PHPUnit and am ok with all assert* methods, but can't figure out how to test for error thrown when the wrong argument is provided to the method - say hinted with array like so: public function(array $list) { } and then tested with null as argument. Could someone please provide an example of how to test for this sort of errors? I've checked quite a few posts on stackoverflow, but couldn't find the answer to this specific issue.
