• Easy way to convert a Doctrine_Collection of Model classes to an array of simple objects?

  To clearly separate the Controller and View layers, I do not longer want to pass full objects to my views. Instead I want to pass only arrays and objects that contain the data but do not have any methods. Otherwise a view script would be able to delete Doctrine records or traverse in the object tree to data that was not intended for the view.

  I have this: app/modules/grid_module.rb app/modules/grid.html.haml then in my view: app/views/layouts/default.html.haml I want to make a new instance of the grid_module and render it content. Its content is into the grid.html.haml and this file can only use the instance vars set in the grid_module.rb is this possible to do? (the grid name is just an example, it must be more flexible, to load the html.haml file based on the .rb class) the grid_module must has access to models too* like this: User.find_by_id(4) thanks for help

  Assume there are 3 sub-views (A, B, C) in a view. After a few rounds of random bringSubviewToFront and sendSubviewToBack on A, B, or C , how can I tell whether one sub-view (e.g. A) is on top of another sub-view (e.g. C)? Whether they overlap each other is not required information. Thanks!

  Hi everyone im new to a PHP framework codeIgniter, I am going over the user guide iv ran in to a problem, I am on the part where you load helper file but for some reason my code just isnt working I keep getting this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function anchor() in /home/fresherd/public_html/CI/system/application/views/blogview.php on line 17 now im not 100% sure that it is loading the helper file this could be causing the but I am not sure how to detect the file has been loaded any advice will help many thanks, Alan

  I have a model that is something like this: class Input(models.Model): details = models.CharField(max_length=1000) user = models.ForeignKey(User) class Case(Input): title = models.CharField(max_length=200) views = models.IntegerField() class Argument(Input): case = models.ForeignKey(Case) side = models.BooleanField() A user can submit many arguments, per case. I want to be able to say how many users have submitted side=true arguments. I mean if 1 user had 10 arguments and another user had 2 arguments (both side=true) I'd want the count to be 2, not 12.

  Hello, I have a tab bar with two views. In the first view the iPhone status bar is hidden using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:YES]. When the second view is loaded, and the status bar is made visible again using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:NO animated:YES] it overlaps the view. How do I make the status bar visible again without overlapping the second view? Thanks

Table A has following columns: id name description Table B has the following columns: id a_id(foreign key to Table A) ip_address date Basically Table B contains a row for each time a user views a row from Table A. How can I configure Devise to store authentication info elsewhere? Worst case scenario, if I just have to hack into it, is there a generator to just port everything over to the app? • SDK 3.2 - Trigger video from UIScrollView Subview (Audio but no video)

  Hi folks, I use Smarty View, but want to benefit from theme options. Since for theming cake use Theme View, I cant use both Smarty and Theme at the same time. Perhaps can combine the code but am not that familar with View eingine core. Already have a lot views done with smarty and do not want to recreate all of them with plain php.
