    I have successfully configured an Extended-Validation Certificate on an Azure Website following this article: http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/web-sites-configure-ssl-certificate/ The main (non-technical) stakeholder of the web application went through great lengths to validate that our site is secure. He went to this site to check the validity of our SSL: http://www.whynopadlock.com/ The site throw the following error: `SSL verification issue (Possibly mis-matched URL or bad intermediate cert.). Details: ERROR: no certificate subject alternative name matches`` The certificate is installed using IP Based SSL instead of SNI. This is done this way because some site visitors still use Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP, which has no support for SNI and throws a security warning. Is my certificate correclty installed? I received three .CRT files from my SSL provider: PrimaryIntermediate.crt SecondaryIntermediate.crt EndCertificate.crt This is how I exported our certificate as a .PFX file to Azure: openssl pkcs12 -export -out myserver.pfx -inkey myserver.key -in myserver.crt

  • where do i put html files in my web-app folder for a lift project with maven?

    I'm new to Lift framework for scala. For some reason, index.html resides in the web-app directory, and when I start up jetty, http://localhost:8080/ will point to that index.html file just fine. However, if I put a login.html file in the same folder as the index.html, and then go http://localhost:8080/login, Lift does not serve the file. Where do I need to put the files to get them register? I am a little lost because the behaviour only seems to work for index.html and nothing else.   • What kind of SSL Cert do I need and where do I get it?

    I want to have subdomains with SSL within my domain. The main difference is that each subdomain is hosted by a different person with a different public key/private key pair. Let me illustrate with an example: User send his public key and requests subdomain from foo.com User is added and assigned subdomain bar (bar.foo.com). Users public key is stored for future validation against bar.foo.com User goes to bar.foo.com and see's a validated SSL connection. From what I gather, this means that I need to create a CA, which is fine. The problem is that from what I recall, a CA needs a special sort of SSL Cert. How do I go about getting this?

    Hi all, I am solving how to pass values from one page to another without making use of session scope managed bean. For most managed beans I would like to have only Request scope. I created a very, very simple calculator example which passes Result object resulting from actions on request bean (CalculatorRequestBean) from 5th phase as initializing value for new instance of request bean initialized in next phase lifecycle. In fact - in production environment we need to pass much more complicated data object which is not as primitive as Result defined below. What is your opinion on this solution which considers both possibilities - we stay on the same view or we navigate to the new one. But in both cases I can get to previous value stored passed using view scoped managed bean.   • How to make a form using ajax, onchange event, reload to SAME page

    I've been studying this for a while and I'm not sure if I'm going about this the right way because every form I setup according to examples, it doesn't do what I need. I need to setup a form that will: set session when you select from dropdown menu not reload/refresh page (i've read that using AJAX solves this) submit and stay on SAME page (confused because most AJAX examples send it to different process.php page which is supposedly "invisible" but it doesn't "stay" on the same page, it redirects. Basically, client selects quantity of 1 to 10. If they select "2"... it does NOT reload the page.. but it DOES set a session[quantity]=2. Should be simple... but do I POST to same page as form? or POST to different page and it somehow redirects? Also, one test I did it kept pasting my "echo session[quantity]" down the page like 7, 2, 3, 5, etc. etc. each time instead of replacing it. I would paste code but it's all over the place and I'm hoping for direction on which methods to use. Feel I need to start all over again.   • Trouble with Canvas rendering in Safari/Opera

    Been banging my head against this one for a while, and figured I'd turn to the experts for some advice. I've made a jQuery snippet that grabs the values from a table and plots them in a line graph on a canvas element (also generated by the JS). All's well in Firefox and Chrome, but Safari and Opera aren't displaying the plotted points. I've reviewed in Firebug, Web Inspector debugger, JSLint, and checked the markup with the w3 validator, but still can't find anything glaringly obvious. Any chance one of you guys could help me out?     In my XML schema I have an element being referenced tens of times by other elements but with different enumerated values for one of its attribute. For now, instead of creating this element in global space and referencing it later, I am creating a new instance wherever it is needed. This approach has increased my schema size enormously because of repeated creation of almost same element many times. It also may have adverse effect on efficiency of the schema. The only way that I see is to create element once and then reference it many times but my problem is: one of the attribute of this referenced element is required to have a different set of enumerations for each referencing element. My question is: Is it possible to to add an attribute to a "Referenced Element" in XML Schema? But on the other hand, team is saved before coach.save!, otherwise the first example will get the same error as the second one. So I've concluded that when a has_many bs, a.save! will save bs prior to a. When a has_one b, a.save! will save a prior to b. If I am right, why is this the case? It doesn't seem logical to me. Why do has_one and has_many association have different order in saving? Any ideas? And is there any way I can change the order? Say I want to have the same saving order for both has_one and has_many.   • Odd problem with IE8 and z-index CSS property

    I not been able to put one DIV over his parent DIV in Internet Explorer. With Firefox is working as suposed to. The odd part is that if I open the html file directly in IE, everything works fine. But if I upload to the server and open from there, the div is hidden underneath his parent. I've tried several z-index combinations and none works.     Hi We are having an issue trying to set the Out Of Office Assistant through Outlook 2007. It works fine through OWA but all of the users cannot set it through Outlook. They get: your out of office settings cannot be displayed because the server is unavailable We have run through: https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and we get this error: Certificate name validation error More info: Host name xxxxxxxxxxxx.com does not match any name found on the server certificate CN=*.securedwebspace.com, OU=Domain Control Validated - RapidSSL(R), OU=See www.rapidssl.com/resources/cps (c)09, OU=GT93715821, O=*.securedwebspace.com, C=GB Any ideas on how we can fix this?   • Need help getting DIV inside DIV to stretch to width of contents in Firefox

    I am using a layout similar to the one from Dynamic Drive here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/layouts/item/css-right-frame-layout/ The main content area (white) has overflow set to auto. I have given the innerTube inside this main content area a border. However if the contents within this innerTube are greater than the width of the main content area, a horizontal scroll bar will appear as expected, but in Firefox these contents will 'overlap' the border and go off screen (can be retrieved by scrolling horizontally). In other words, the right hand border remains in place, and the content just goes over the op of it, and disappears behind the right hand column. In IE it behaves exactly as I want - the content pushes the border off screen to be visible only once you scroll over there. I guess the easiest thing is to paste the source code here. If you copy it into a blank file you'll see what I mean. I've just used one really long word to replicate what happens if a wide image is there instead.   • Java, LDAP: Make it not ignore blank passwords?

    I'm maintaining some legacy Java LDAP code. I know next to nothing about LDAP. The program below basically just sends the userid and password to the LDAP server, receives notification back if the credentials are good. If so, it prints out the LDAP attributes received from the LDAP server, if not it prints out an exception. All works well if a bad password is given. An "invalid credentials" exception gets thrown. However, if a blank password is sent to the LDAP Server, authentication will still happen, LDAP attributes will still be returned. Is this unhappy situation due to the LDAP server allowing blank passwords, or does the code below need to be adjusted such a blank password will get fed to the LDAP server in such a way so it will get rejected? I do have data validation in place. I took it off in a testing environment to solve another issue and noticed this problem. I would prefer not to have this problem underneath the data validation.
