    I want to select information in a single cell from my DataGrid in Flex 3. Specifically, I'm displaying three phone numbers per line and the user needs to be able to select one of those numbers, from any row, but not the whole row. While similar to this, I am displaying the DataGrid to the user. The answer for that question was to manipulate the dataProvider, how can I know what cell I've selected in order to do that?

  • Why is file_get_contents() faster than using fsock_open()?

    In PHP, sometimes I want to send an HTTP request to a remote site just to look at the response headers, so I declare it all manually and use the fsock_open() function. However, this goes much slower than calling file_get_contents() with a remote URL (which loads the whole page content). Why is this? Is there a good alternative way to get just the response headers (to check if a page returns a 404 error, for example) that works as fast as file_get_contents()?

  • healthy DLL reference broken after compile multi-project solution

    Hi. I have a solution with multiple class libraries. When I compile each individual library (and the web site by itself) compilation always succeeds. But, when I compile the solution as a whole, one of the library references fails with a little yellow exclamation mark next to the failed library. I am guessing this has to do with the build order? Can somebody suggest what i have to do to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

    See: Page I am having problems with IE, In FF and Chrome the navigation at the top displays fine. However in IE8 (with or without compatibility) the UL seems to indent from the left hand side, not each li just the whole li; despite declaring text-align:center; width:600px; margin:auto; padding-left:0;.     Hi, I have an XML layout which contains a TableLayout with an unknown number of TableRows... The number of Rows will be established durin runtime, what I do know though is that I want two columns... So I have a couple of questions regarding this : - is there a way to set the whole TableLayout to have 2 columns ? - is there a way programmatically to give an id to the (during runtime) created TableRows which will be placed within the TableLayout, so I can reference them later on from other parts of the software ?

    Is it possible (on iPhone/iPod Touch) for a file written like this: if (FILE* file = fopen(filename, "wb")) { fwrite(buf, buf_size, 1, file); fclose(file); } to get corrupted, e.g. when app is forced to terminate? From what I know fwrite should be an atomic operation, so when I write whole file with one instruction no corruption should occure. I could not find any information on the net that would say otherwise.

    I'm trying to password protect a directory on a server that's running IIS. I've put the following in the .htaccess file in that directory - AuthName "Restricted Area" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /path/.htpasswd AuthGroupFile /dev/null require valid-user I've tried a whole bunch of different paths and although it's asking for a username and password it won't take it. I've tried using the path provided by _SERVER["PATH_TRANSLATED"] but that's no help either. Is this a problem with my path, or does IIS just not support .htpasswd?

Does anyone know of APIs that can take free form text and return an image that best represents the text?     I'm trying to parse a part of the result of a parse, like this: queries = @doc.xpath("//spectrum_query") queries.each do |query| hits = query.xpath("//search_hit") end But instead of Nokogiri only searching for search_hits inside the query, it searches for search_hits in the whole document. I'm sure there's a different way to accomplish what I want, but doing it like this would be the simplest. Anyone know if it's possible to search just the query object?

  • PHP: Cookie only sent to http://www.xxx.com and NOT http://xxx.com

    Hi, I have a php login which sets 2 cookies once some one login. the problem is that if you login from : http://www.mydomain.com and you go to http://mydomain.com you will find your self not logged in, I think that's because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It's only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not ? Thanks
