  • C# Array number sorting

    - by athgap
    Hi, I have an array of numbers jumbled up from 0-9. How do I sort them in ascending order? Array.Sort doesn't work for me. Is there another way to do it? Thanks in advance. EDIT: Array.Sort gives me this error. Argument 1: cannot convert from 'string' to 'System.Array' Right now it gives me this output: 0) VersionInfo.xml 2) luizafroes_singapore2951478702.xml 3) virua837890738.xml 4) darkwizar9102314425644.xml 5) snarterz_584609551.xml 6) alysiayeo594136055.xml 1) z-a-n-n2306499277.xml 7) zhangliyi_memories932668799030.xml 8) andy_tan911368887723.xml 9) config.xml k are the numbers from 0-9 string[] valnames = rk2.GetValueNames(); foreach (string k in valnames) { if (k == "MRUListEx") { continue; } Byte[] byteValue = (Byte[])rk2.GetValue(k); UnicodeEncoding unicode = new UnicodeEncoding(); string val = unicode.GetString(byteValue); Array.Sort(k); //Error here richTextBoxRecentDoc.AppendText("\n" + k + ") " + val + "\n"); }

  • VS2008 intellisense performance issue with large number of partial static classes

    - by scebula
    My question is a follow-up to the issue posted here regarding the Intellisense performance issue when building a large solution in VS2008 that has many partial static classes. Since Microsoft does not seem to be addressing the issue for VS2008, I would like to know if there are other ways around the problem? Waiting for VS2010 is not an option at this time. The proposed solution in the previous post is not practical as some of the partial classes may be regenerated and this would be a maintenance headache.

  • FOSS version of SQLCompare or something similar?

    - by Scott
    Actually, free is good enough, it doesn't have to be open source :) I'm currently using the Schema Compare utility of VS2008, but it doesn't have a command line interface and has some other weaknesses as well. I'm wondering what free tools others are using to provide command line schema comparisons/synchronizations? Thanks.

  • Expressionengine 2 and git (version control)

    - by Danny
    Hey guys I’m looking to move over to using git to make my EE development a lot easier and more manageable. I’m already aware of the guides posted on devotee and a few othersites but after scanning over them they seem a little old and seem to be specifically for ee 1.x, I was wondering if anyone had been successful with ee 2. I’ve only recently made the transition from svn to git, previously I found that using ee via svn was a ballache, so many confit conflicts, wrong urls, and all versions of the site were using the same database. I’m basically looking for the best or should I say the ideal way to setup both git and ee to work in harmony together. I’d like to also learn how to branch other sites I develop with ee from this too, if anyone has experience with this that’d be great! Also if it’s any use I’m hosted by dreamhost, As far as I understand they support git, I’ve looked over their knowledge base on how best to set things up, would anyone reccomend their way of doing things? And has anyone had a successful experience whilst doing so?  I look forward to hearing your responses! Thanks Sent from my iPhone, whilst falling asleep so excuse the possible typos!a

  • kQuery : Trying to find a specific instance of a class by number

    - by mattelliottIT
    I guess I have just hit a mental block with this one; maybe some fresh eyes will help. Basically I have a few instance of the class "menu-item" which when clicked call the click function via jQuery and bring up a video. Instead of giving each on an id as well as a class I am trying to find which instance of the class was clicked (1, 2, 3, etc). Just can't seem to get it though. //click listener for menu-items $('.menu-item').click(function(event) { var o = $('.menu-item'); var count = o.length(); // switch(count) { case 0 : filename == 'letters'; break; case 1 : filename == 'the-gift'; break; } var videoPlayer = '<video controls width="618px">'; videoPlayer += '<source src="_video/' + filename + '.mp4" />'; videoPlayer += '</video>'; //place video $('#videoCont').html(videoPlayer); }); I'm trying to create an array there where each instance of the 'menu-item' is one array item. (btw, for now I am just proofing this with an mp4 filetype before I add in the ogv and webm formats). Thanks for any and all help!

  • Number distribution

    - by Carra
    Problem: We have x checkboxes and we want to check y of them evenly. Example 1: select 50 checkboxes of 100 total. [-] [x] [-] [x] ... Example 2: select 33 checkboxes of 100 total. [-] [-] [x] [-] [-] [x] ... Example 3: select 66 checkboxes of 100 total: [-] [x] [x] [-] [x] [x] ... But we're having trouble to come up with a formula to check them in code, especially once you go 11/111 or something similar. Anyone has an idea?

  • c++ programming- Tryin to get a number within an array that is twice the average

    - by max
    i have been assigned to set up an array with points. I am told to get the maximum value, average, nd within this same array, if any point in the array is twice the average, i should cout an "outlier." So far i have gotten the average and maximum numbers in the array. but i am unable to set the programme to cout the outlier. Instead it gives me a multiple of the average. pls help! here is the programme; int main() { const int max = 10; int ary[max]={4, 32, 9, 7, 14, 12, 13, 17, 19, 18}; int i,maxv; double out,sum=0; double av; maxv= ary[0]; for(i=0; i } cout<<"maximum value: "< for(i=0; i sum = sum + ary[i]; av = sum / max; } cout<<"average: "< out = av * 2; if(ary[i]out) { cout<<"outlier: "< return 0; }

  • Why can't we have an immutable version of operator[] for map

    - by Yan Cheng CHEOK
    The following code works fine : std::map<int, int>& m = std::map<int, int>(); int i = m[0]; But not the following code : // error C2678: binary '[' : no operator... const std::map<int, int>& m = std::map<int, int>(); int i = m[0]; Most of the time, I prefer to make most of my stuff to become immutable, due to reason : http://www.javapractices.com/topic/TopicAction.do?Id=29 I look at map source code. It has mapped_type& operator[](const key_type& _Keyval) Is there any reason, why std::map unable to provide const mapped_type& operator[](const key_type& _Keyval) const

  • Count the number of dates between two dates

    - by Matt Mitchell
    I'm looking to count the dates covered (inclusive) between two DateTimes (not .TotalDays) For example: 2012-2-1 14:00 to 2012-2-2 23:00 -> 2 2012-2-1 14:00 to 2012-2-2 10:00 -> 2 2012-2-1 14:00 to 2012-2-1 15:00 -> 1 2012-1-1 00:00 to 2012-12-31 23:59 -> 366 I can get this functionality with the code below: DateTime dt1 = new DateTime(2000,1,2,12,00,00); DateTime dt2 = new DateTime(2000,1,3,03,00,00); int count = 0; for (DateTime date = dt1; date.Date <= dt2.Date; date = date.AddDays(1)) count++; return count; Is there a better way?

  • Reduce the number of queries in EF

    - by Gio2k
    I have the following Model: Entities: Product (Contains basic data for products: price, etc) Attribute (Contains data for all possible optional attributes) ProductAttribute (Contains data for optional attributes of a product, eg. Color, Model, Size). ProductAttribute is essentially a many to many relationship with payload (ProductId, AttributeID, Value) And this piece of code: private static void ListAttributes(Product p) { p.ProductAttributes.Load(); foreach (var att in p.ProductAttributes) { att.Attribute.load(); Console.WriteLine("\tAttribute Name:{0} - Value {1}", att.Attribute.Name, att.AttributeValue); } } This piece of code will fire a query for each time the att.Attribute.Load() method is called in the foreach loop, only so i can get display the name of the attribute. I would like to fetch the Attribute.Name together with the query that fetches all attribute values, i.e. join ProductAttribute and Attribute. Is there any way to achieve this within my method?

  • extract number of A tags using jquery

    - by user1017268
    I am working on an enterprise application where I can have several links present in table or none depending on the data. The links appear in the table and have following code behind them <td class="Row"><span id='s_3_2_14_0' ><a href='JavaScript:SWETargetGotoURL("/eservice_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=GotoView&SWEView=Active+PO+Serial+View&SWEPostnApplet=Purchase+Order+List+Applet&SWEPostnRowId=1-KPBLOZ","_self")'>2001103009</a></span></td> I need to find all the A tags present in the page inside SPAN tag having following text SWEView=Active+PO+Serial+View&SWEPostnApplet=Purchase+Order+List+Applet I tried the following expression but it returns 0 $('a[href*="SWEView=Active+PO+Serial+View&SWEPostnApplet=Purchase+Order+List+Applet"').length;

  • Can't insert a number into a C++ custom streambuf/ostream

    - by 0xbe5077ed
    I have written a custom std::basic_streambuf and std::basic_ostream because I want an output stream that I can get a JNI string from in a manner similar to how you can call std::ostringstream::str(). These classes are quite simple. namespace myns { class jni_utf16_streambuf : public std::basic_streambuf<char16_t> { JNIEnv * d_env; std::vector<char16_t> d_buf; virtual int_type overflow(int_type); public: jni_utf16_streambuf(JNIEnv *); jstring jstr() const; }; typedef std::basic_ostream<char16_t, std::char_traits<char16_t>> utf16_ostream; class jni_utf16_ostream : public utf16_ostream { jni_utf16_streambuf d_buf; public: jni_utf16_ostream(JNIEnv *); jstring jstr() const; }; // ... } // namespace myns In addition, I have made four overloads of operator<<, all in the same namespace: namespace myns { // ... utf16_ostream& operator<<(utf16_ostream&, jstring) throw(std::bad_cast); utf16_ostream& operator<<(utf16_ostream&, const char *); utf16_ostream& operator<<(utf16_ostream&, const jni_utf16_string_region&); jni_utf16_ostream& operator<<(jni_utf16_ostream&, jstring); // ... } // namespace myns The implementation of jni_utf16_streambuf::overflow(int_type) is trivial. It just doubles the buffer width, puts the requested character, and sets the base, put, and end pointers correctly. It is tested and I am quite sure it works. The jni_utf16_ostream works fine inserting unicode characters. For example, this works fine and results in the stream containing "hello, world": myns::jni_utf16_ostream o(env); o << u"hello, wor" << u'l' << u'd'; My problem is as soon as I try to insert an integer value, the stream's bad bit gets set, for example: myns::jni_utf16_ostream o(env); if (o.badbit()) throw "bad bit before"; // does not throw int32_t x(5); o << x; if (o.badbit()) throw "bad bit after"; // throws :( I don't understand why this is happening! Is there some other method on std::basic_streambuf I need to be implementing????

  • decorating a function and adding functionalities preserving the number of argument

    - by pygabriel
    I'd like to decorate a function, using a pattern like this: def deco(func): def wrap(*a,**kw): print "do something" return func(*a,**kw) return wrap The problem is that if the function decorated has a prototype like that: def function(a,b,c): return When decorated, the prototype is destroyed by the varargs, for example, calling function(1,2,3,4) wouldn't result in an exception. Is that a way to avoid that? How can define the wrap function with the same prototype as the decorated (func) one? There's something conceptually wrong?

  • Translate Prototype code into Jquery version

    - by user1055495
    I everybody, I'm working on a SaaS application and I need to use Jquery instead of Prototype due to some extra plugins integration. My code that was wotking a charm with Prototype is not running anymore with Jquery and I'm not used to write in this framework... Is there someone to help me in "translating" this one: Thanks a lot for your help. var rates = new Array(); <% for tva_rate in @tva_rates -%> rates.push(new Array(<%= tva_rate.id %>, '<%=h tva_rate.taux %>', '<%=h tva_rate.compte_id %>' )); <% end -%> function tvaSelected() { tva_id = $('journal_tva_id').getValue(); show = 1; if (tva_id > 0){ rates.each(function(rate) { if (rate[0] == tva_id) { $('journal_taux').setValue(rate[1]); $('journal_compte_tva').setValue(rate[2]); show = 2; } }); } if (show == 1) { $('tva_taux_field').hide(); } else { $('tva_taux_field').show(); } } document.observe('dom:loaded', function() { tvaSelected(); $('journal_tva_id').observe('change', tvaSelected); });

  • Number range for color in GLSL

    - by kotoko
    I'm figuring out how to set a colour in a Fragment Shader. This statement gl_FragColor = (0.1,0.6,1,1); gives me white regardless of what I enter in the first 3 values. I was expecting to either give it values between 0 and 255 or 0 and 1 but neither seems to work. I can change how bright it is with values from 0 to 1 in the fourth value, but nothing for colour. Can anybody tell me if: gl_FragColor is the right variable to set. What is the range of values for the first three values. What am I currently making the Shader do.

  • Using pow() for large number

    - by g4ur4v
    I am trying to solve a problem, a part of which requires me to calculate (2^n)%1000000007 , where n<=10^9. But my following code gives me output "0" even for input like n=99. Is there anyway other than having a loop which multilplies the output by 2 every time and finding the modulo every time (this is not I am looking for as this will be very slow for large numbers). #include<stdio.h> #include<math.h> #include<iostream> using namespace std; int main() { unsigned long long gaps,total; while(1) { cin>>gaps; total=(unsigned long long)powf(2,gaps)%1000000007; cout<<total<<endl; } }
