• iPhone SDK Point to a specific location

  Hi, I'm trying to develop an application that use the GPS and Compass of the iPhone in order to point some sort of pointer to a specific location (like the compass always point to the North). The location is fixed and I always need the pointer to point to that specific location no matter where the user is located. I have the Lat/Long coordinates of this location but not sure how can I point to that location using the Compass and the GPS... any help will be appreciated. Netanel

  On the iphone, when trying to play a broken url using MPMoviePlayerController the user gets an alertbox with the message "the server is not correctly configured". Is there any way to change this to something more user-friendly? Alternatively, is there any way to get an error status from the player instead of getting this message? Thanks in advance..

  Hi does anyone know where I can download iPhone sdk 2.0 and 2.2.1 . I upgraded to the latest version of the sdk (3.1.2) and it broke my application.   Hi all, I'm doing some endian-sensitive file manipulation on iPhone. Are there standard macros or #defines in that environment that indicate native endianness and offer swapping if necessary? I know I can check in advance and just do the right thing for this particular architecture, but wondering if there are cleaner ways of doing the right thing. (The file format is little endian; if it were big-endian, I'd probably just use the htons/htonl family.) Thanks.

While reading the docs on deploying the app to the app store, I came across some drivel regarding having to go through a 30 - 60 day government vetting process just to ship an app that simply connects to an HTTPS server.
