• Cannot format SD memory card

  Hello everyone I have a SD memory card which is of local manufacturer it allows to read & copy from it but not write as it is now write-protected so i want to format that card but could not. To format this card I have tried 1) DD command 2) mkfs -f vfat command 3) creating registry entry under storage device policy in window with write value 0 4) disk part command in window to clear attributes in which it show all attributes are clear ie no write protection 5) I format card in windows through control panel - administrative tools- computer management - disk management, then it show as formatted but when I tried to create new partition it give CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK error 6) I downloaded a format utility from transcend site and formatted first it shows write protected again doing format it formats and tells to remove and reinsert after reinsertion it shows the previous data as it is

• How to view only Mail on shared email account?

  I have a support account which I should have access to in my Outlook 2010, however, since changing from 2003, the situation has become unusual. I used to be able to just view shared mail items in a seperate account, without it having the Calendar, Tasks and Reminders popping up in my face all hours of the day. Now, if I add the account, I get upwards of 60 task reminders that are not my personal account, and that clog up my Reminders window and task list. Is there a way to show only my Tasks and Reminders in Outlook 2010? I've tried the Advanced Filter option on the Tasks list, but if I set it to show only things from or to myself, everything disappears, or nothing disappears. I tried looking in the email account settings for something like 'Read email only' or something to do with only showing some of the modules of outlook, but it was useless.

• Logging Apparently Not Working - Can't Set Configure Replication

  I'm using a tutorial to set up a master (single) slave setup. When I run the command show master status; I get Empty set (0.00 sec). I have done a lot of research and believe that the log file I have set up isn't being used properly. The master is a Windows server, and I am administering it through workbench. The log file (log-bin.log) I have configured in the options exists, and is accessible by 'System'. But when I open it as a text file it doesn't have any data. So I'm assuming it's not getting used properly. How can I get the logging happening so I can finish setting up this replication? Edit: Purely for reference here is the tutorial. I followed all the steps and double checked everything up until show master status.

• MySQL 5.5.9 Query Cache not working.

  I am running MySQL 5.5.9 x86_64 RPM as downloaded from mysql.com. Running on CentOS 5.5 Xen DomU. I have enabled the Query_cache however MySQL NEVER uses it. All of my tables are InnoDB. Why is the Qcache never hit? • mysql master slave "table already exists" but table not exists

  I have 1 master mysql process, and 2 slave. Today on both slaves i see : Error 'Table 'bgbilling.contract_status_balance_dump' already exists' on query. Default database: 'bgbilling'. Query: 'CREATE TABLE contract_status_balance_dump( UNIQUE(cid) ) SELECT cid, MAX(yy*12+(mm-1))%12 + 1 AS mm,FLOOR(MAX(yy*12+(mm-1)) / 12) AS yy FROM contract_balance GROUP BY cid' "show tables" does not show this table. I tryed stop slave , and do "drop table contract_status_balance_dump" but: ERROR 1051 (42S02): Unknown table 'contract_status_balance_dump' How its possible? And how fix that?

• Excel formula - sometimes array formula, sometimes not

  I want to write some data to an Excel file, and I want the first page to show a summary of the data that are spread all over the sheets. The individual data items on a sheet can be included or excluded, and I want the summary to be calculated only on the included values. Thus, I thought I'd use a formula like this to show, for example, an average (for which empty fields shouldn't be counted, either): =AVERAGE(IF('dataSheet1'!$B:$B=1,IF('dataSheet1'!$I:$I<>"",'dataSheet1'!$I:$I,""),"")) If I have this formula in dataSheet1, everything works fine. If I have this formula in the summary sheet, I need to enter it as an array formula, and I have to specify the exact ranges to make it work. Is there a way (aside from adding the average in dataSheet, and then referencing the result in summary) to make the formula work without having it turn into an array formula?

• Why would image thumbnails not be showing in all search engines in all browsers?

  For over a week now, when I search for a word at Google, it correctly gives me some preview image thumbnails: But when I click on "images", it doesn't show me any thumbnails: The same thing happens at Bing.com, when I search Bing itself it gives me some thumbnails on the general search result page: But when I click on "images", it doesn't show me any thumbnails: The same thing happens at Yahoo: If I click on one of the broken thumbnails, it shows me the picture fine: Thumbnails at youtube also work fine: It seems each search engine is hanging on different URLs as shown above: t1.gstatic.com ts3.mm.bing.net thm-a02.yimg.com so it doesn't seem to be the problem of one specific URL not sending thumbnails, it is just a problem with search engine image thumbnails in general. Also, this happens in every browser I try: Explorer, Firefox, Chrome. What could be the problem? Is it my computer, some setting somewhere, my router, my Internet provider (T-Online, Germany)? Has anyone ever had this problem and solved it?

• Unable to set my own icon for launcher item in 12.04

  I use the Faenza icon collection in Ubuntu 12.04 Unity with no issues. • Need help with Microsoft Access 07 & Reports

  I'm finding it difficult to get MS reporting working to what I'd like to show. What I'm trying to do is: a) In my database store a URL file (HTTP external file), that is a .jpeg. I'd like to use that URL to call the image on the report sheet. I have tried to use 'Control source' on the data panel, but with no success. Any way I can get Dynamic Images to show up on each database. Also, I have a couple of Relational Databases. One Defines Values: For Example: DefinePets('petID','Name of Pet') The other one links the Main DB with the 'DefinePets' database. Eg: connect('petID','mainID','extraFeild') I'd like my report to Go into the "connect" Table, where the the currently viewed Record Value = mainID, then find petID and return Name of Pet. There is a many to many link between definePets and the main Table. (Therefore connect is joining them up) Or is that too much to ask from a simple package like Access?

  What design pattern to use for sequence of animation that involve different actor in libGDX. For example I am making a game to choose a wolf from a group of sheeps. The first animation played when the game begin is the wolf enter the field that is filled with two sheeps.Then the wolf disguise as a sheep and goes to the center of the screen. Then the game will shuffle the sheeps. After it finished it will ask the player where is the wolf. The game wait for player input. After that the game will show animation to show the player whether their answer is right or wrong. I am currently using State design pattern. There are four states wolfEnterState,DisguiseState,ShuffleState,UserInputState, and answerAnimationState. I feel that my code is messy. I use addAction with action sequence and action completion(new Runnable()) a lot. I feel that the action sequence is getting long. Is there a better solution for this kind of problem

  Manage SQL Server Connectivity through Windows Azure Virtual Machines Remote PowerShell Blog This blog post comes from Khalid Mouss, Senior Program Manager in Microsoft SQL Server. Overview The goal of this blog is to demonstrate how we can automate through PowerShell connecting multiple SQL Server deployments in Windows Azure Virtual Machines. We would configure TCP port that we would open (and close) though Windows firewall from a remote PowerShell session to the Virtual Machine (VM). This will demonstrate how to take the advantage of the remote PowerShell support in Windows Azure Virtual Machines to automate the steps required to connect SQL Server in the same cloud service and in different cloud services.  Scenario 1: VMs connected through the same Cloud Service 2 Virtual machines configured in the same cloud service. Both VMs running different SQL Server instances on them. Both VMs configured with remote PowerShell turned on to be able to run PS and other commands directly into them remotely in order to re-configure them to allow incoming SQL connections from a remote VM or on premise machine(s). Note: RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) is kept configured in both VMs by default to be able to remote connect to them and check the connections to SQL instances for demo purposes only; but not actually required. Step 1 – Provision VMs and Configure Ports   Provision VM1; named DemoVM1 as follows (see examples screenshots below if using the portal):   Provision VM2 (DemoVM2) with PowerShell Remoting enabled and connected to DemoVM1 above (see examples screenshots below if using the portal): After provisioning of the 2 VMs above, here is the default port configurations for example: Step2 – Verify / Confirm the TCP port used by the database Engine By the default, the port will be configured to be 1433 – this can be changed to a different port number if desired.   1. RDP to each of the VMs created below – this will also ensure the VMs complete SysPrep(ing) and complete configuration 2. Go to SQL Server Configuration Manager -> SQL Server Network Configuration -> Protocols for <SQL instance> -> TCP/IP - > IP Addresses   3. Confirm the port number used by SQL Server Engine; in this case 1433 4. Update from Windows Authentication to Mixed mode   5.       Restart SQL Server service for the change to take effect 6.       Repeat steps 3., 4., and 5. For the second VM: DemoVM2 Step 3 – Remote Powershell to DemoVM1 Enter-PSSession -ComputerName condemo.cloudapp.net -Port 61503 -Credential <username> -UseSSL -SessionOption (New-PSSessionOption -SkipCACheck -SkipCNCheck) Your will then be prompted to enter the password. Scenario 2: VMs provisioned in different Cloud Services 2 Virtual machines configured in different cloud services. Both VMs running different SQL Server instances on them. Both VMs configured with remote PowerShell turned on to be able to run PS and other commands directly into them remotely in order to re-configure them to allow incoming SQL connections from a remote VM or on on-premise machine(s). Note: RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) is kept configured in both VMs by default to be able to remote connect to them and check the connections to SQL instances for demo purposes only; but not actually needed. Step 1 – Provision new VM3 Provision VM3; named DemoVM3 as follows (see examples screenshots below if using the portal): After provisioning is complete, here is the default port configurations: Step 2 – Add public port to VM1 connect to from VM3’s DB instance Since VM3 and VM1 are not connected in the same cloud service, we will need to specify the full DNS address while connecting between the machines which includes the public port. You must specify the full server name using the DNS address and public port number configured above. Step 6 – Close port 1433 in the Windows firewall netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name=DemoVM1Port   Output: Deleted 1 rule(s). Ok. netsh advfirewall firewall show  rule name=DemoVM1Port No rules match the specified criteria.  Step 7 – Try to connect from DemoVM2 to DB Instance in DemoVM1  Because port 1433 has been closed (in step 6) in the Windows Firewall in VM1 machine, we can no longer connect from VM3 remotely to VM1. Conclusion Through the new support for remote PowerShell in Windows Azure Virtual Machines, one can script and automate many Virtual Machine and SQL management tasks. • Internal users can't receive email sent by application

  We have an application server that hosts a CRM application. It is using SMTP on it's own server to send emails. If I send an email using the application to [email protected], it shows up in my inbox. If I send an email to [email protected], it never shows up. It doesn't matter what address I put in for @MyCompanyDomain.com, they never get through. Any email addresses outside our domain/firewall get through. We're using Exchange 2007 and when I look at the message tracking logs, the missing messages don't show up there, either. Is there something I need to configure in Exchange or the SMTP server on the application server? I can't figure out why emails get outside the firewall but internal emails never show up. • Group Policy Task Schedule deployed to User Configuration not working, works when in Computer Configuration?

  I added a Scheduled Task on my Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller in the Group Policy Manager: MyDomain Policy User Configuration Preferences Control Panel Settings Scheduled Tasks Basic Task, like starting notepad, when user unlocks his workstation. This should show up in the client workstation's task scheduler, but it dosn't. No errors or anything like that. If I use the "Computer Configuration" instead of "User Configuration" the task appears, and I'm able to run the task. I've tried the gpupdate /force followed by gpresult and checked the report, but it dosn't contain the GPO Scheduled Tasks I created? (again, does show up when using "Computer Configuration".) The issue is that I have to run the application in the current users context, and only on a specific Employee OU, and thereby limit this task only to Employee Workstations and not apply the application when the same employee log on to internal servers and such. Primary domain dontroller is a Windows 2008 R2, workstations Windows 7 Enterprise. What am I doing wrong ?

• Are animated GIFs supported in Google Chrome?

  I have recently been testing a website and found animated gif images that seem to show fine in IE and Firefox but in Google Chrome they only show briefly and then dissapear! This happens if I view the image on the page or view the file directly. Are there any reported problems in displaying GIFs in Chrome, or is it just being fussy? There seemed to have been some problems in older versions of Chrome, but it's hard to believe something as simple as this wouldn't have been fixed by now. The version of Google Chrome I am using is: 4.1.249.1021 Not sure if this is relevant, but some info about the image: Width: 216 pixels Height: 36 pixels Horizontal resolution: 96dpi Vertical resolution: 96dpi Bit Depth: 32 Frame Count: 3 EDIT: Seems to be a problem relating to the latest beta version of Chrome, as it works fine in 4.0.249

My network looks like this: Host routed VPN gateway Internet link through VPN 192.168.0.35/24 ---> 192.168.0.5/24 ---> 192.168.0.1 DSL router 10.200.2.235/22 .... .... 10.200.0.1 VPN server The traffic from 192.168.0.32/27 should be and is routed through VPN. I wanted to define some routing policies to route some traffic from 192.168.0.5 through VPN as well - for start - from user with uid 2000. • Running Windows without administrative rights?

  Hello, Among the millions of applications written for Windows, I assume there are probably quite a lot that are too old or too sloppy to run without administrative rights. To convert users to using non-admin accounts in their day-to-day use of Windows, I need a tool that will sort applications between those than can run safely as non-admin and those that expect to have those rights and will thus show some obvious or not-so-obvious wrong behavior as a result. Does someone know of such a tool that would be available for XP/Vista/7, and either scan the whole disk for unsafe applications, or would be started at boot time and lurk in the background so that it would show a pop-up and report applications that triggered an error because of this lack of admin rights? • apticron, apt-get dist-upgrade and aptitude

  I'm confused, on my debian server I've gotten the daily "updates available" message by apticron. I normally then just use aptitude to install the upgrades. Today I got a message which shows two upgrades. But they don't show up in aptitude. When I do a apt-get dist-upgrade they show up as "NEW" packages to be installed. aptitude dist-upgrade seems to ignore them. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening and how to get rid of the messages (It doesn't seem like I really need the new packages)

  I've just listened to Steve Gibson talk about his SpinRite software, on the Security Now podcast episode 336 (transscript). At 33:20 he says: I can show and do show on the SMART page that sectors are being relocated and that errors are being corrected. That SMART analysis page sometimes scares people because it shows, wait a minute, this thing says we're correcting so many errors per megabyte. What is this SMART page? 1) Some information saved on the HD by SMART, that I can access with a SMART tool like smartmontools? 2) A page (tab) in his SpinRite software? In any case, can I see, in any way, what sectors are marked as bad, without using SpinRite? Preferably using smartmontools!

• Computer bluescreen-ing with 0x7A and 0xF4 errors

  Hiya, This computer is locking up for around 5-30 seconds before throwing Blue Screen of Death's with 0x7A and occasionally 0xF4 errors. The log files don't really show anything informative, and Windows Update doesn't show any new drivers for the HDD. Upon restart, it shows a "A disk error has occurred /n Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to continue", and to fix this I go into WinRE via the pendrive and run "bootsect /nt60 C: /force /mbr" and that seems to fix it so it boots. • Running mysqlimport on a MyISAM table for hours, Data_length stays at 0

  I'm trying to import a fairly large file (5Gb, ~130M records) into a MyISAM table (mysql 5.1.61). It's been running for more than 5 hours now with no errors displayed, and I can see "LOAD DATA INFILE ..." in the process list. However, when I run SHOW TABLE STATUS, "Data_length" for the table being updated is still 0. I wonder if that's normal - if not, I should probably abort the import to see what's wrong. "Update_time" displayed by SHOW TABLE STATUS is up-to-date and changes quickly. Is it normal for "Data_length" to remain zero while mysqlimport is successfully running?

• Call issue with Freeswitch

  I am testing the following with Freeswitch and different devices (nokia n900, nokia e60, ekiga) and have similar results between them. On the Freeswitch server (1.0.4 in multi-tenant mode) I have several user profiles for a domain, e.g. 1000, 1001 for host.com The user are authenticated correctly and calls can be placede. When I place a call from a device registered as [email protected] to [email protected] it will show up at the other end (1002) as [email protected] I would expect this call to show up as [email protected]. The IP address is the one of from the Freeswitch server. Because of this, the calls are no correctly recognized by the address book on certain devices. Can the he domain FQDN of the callers domain/acount be used, instead of the IP address of the server in the SIP uri?
