  • .NETCF Component that allows entering a signature

    I need a component that will allow me to enter a signature on a Windows Mobile 5 device. I need to integrate it into my .NETCF program. I would prefer it be free (getting budget approval takes so long). (I have seen the "for pay" one by Resco.) I would need to end up storing the signature in a SQL Server database (it has to be able to serialize). If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

    Hello, I am a newbie to game programming,I would need the suggestions and help of the wonderful people around here. I have set of players, and a ball, the players can kick the ball around the ground (not yet a football game, neither a foosball game too ).Are there any algorithms/ patterns for addressing the problems with tracking the ball and taking decisions, Is that too much to ask.What I was looking at is something like a collision detection algorithm for the common problem of 2 objects interacting with one another.

    Hi guys, I've a doubt. How can I configure my application to use www.mysite.com/myfolder instead of www.mysite.com/myfile.php? I need to a create a profile page for every user registered to my PHP application but it's not so clear how can I do that.     I have a UITableView instance variable. I want to be able to register my view controller to be the UIScrollViewDelegate for my UITableView controller. I have already tried tableView.delegate = self; But when scrolling, my methods - (void)scrollViewDidEndDecelerating:(UIScrollView *)scrollView - (void)scrollViewDidEndDragging:(UIScrollView *)scrollView willDecelerate:(BOOL)decelerate don't get called. Any suggestions?

I gone through the perl module 'Mail::IMAPClient' and able to connect to the imap mail server but need help on other tasks. One more thing to note is that my IMAP sever required SSL auth.

    I need to implement a view where I need the user to answer several questions using YES or NO. I thought of using a UISwitch but as far as I see it does not allows replacing the ON/OFF messages it shows with YES/NO. Am I wrong? I thought of implementing a segmented control with 2 buttons but this is like using a cannon to kill a fly... Any suggestions on how to do that? thanks

    Hi all, I was wondering if it was possible for jQuery to find a file extension based on a returned string? A filename (string) will be passed to a function (openFile) and I wanted that function to do different things based on what file has been passed through, it could be image files or pdf files. function openFile(file) { //if .jpg/.gif/.png do something //if .zip/.rar do something else //if .pdf do something else }; I've been looking for something that will find the file's extension but I can't seem to find anything.

    I have some data in this form: @"Managers Alice, Bob, Charlie Supervisors Don, Edward, Francis" I need a flat output like this: @"Managers Alice Managers Bob Managers Charlie Supervisors Don Supervisors Edward Supervisors Francis" The actual "job title" above could be any single word, there's no discrete list to work from. Replacing the ,  with \r\n is easy enough, as is the first replacement: Replace (^|\r\n)(\S+\s)([^,\r\n]*),\s With $1$2$3\r\n$2 But capturing the other names and applying the same prefix is what is eluding me today. Any suggestions?

    I have this list: names = ['john','Jonh','james','James','Jardel'] I want loop over the list and handle consecutive names with a case insensitive match in the same iteration. So in the first iteration I would do something with'john' and 'John' and I want the next iteration to start at 'james'. I can't think of a way to do this using Python's for loop, any suggestions?

    Hello, is it possible to have links on the welcome page which point to defined commands and for example, launch an dialog? I am thinking of having a welcome page, pointing out the steps what to do first, like: 1) change language (click here) 2) set up database connection (click here) 3) start working (click here) "click here" should be a link to call the actual dialog to set things up. I am using Eclipse with the command style menu. Grateful for any suggestions!
