    Is there a way to control number of downloads of digital content on Amazon S3 or via some middle man software that talks to S3? I already use their timed links, but I would like to control number of downloads also. Any ideas of how to accomplish this using S3 or suggestions about alternative services that could? Thanks!

    are there times you might want to use multiple controllers in mvc? eg. /controllers/foo.php /controllers/bar.php or /controllers/foo/baz1.php /controllers/foo/baz2.php /controllers/bar/baz1.php /controllers/bar/baz2.php could someone give some examples WHEN i might want to do that and some example controller names. one occasion i thought about might be when you got a main site (for users) and a admin site (for customers). all feedbacks and suggestions are appreciated

  • Testing a Doctrine2 Entity with assertEquals results in fatal out-of-memory error

    I have a PHPUnit test that's using a Doctrine2 custom repository and Doctrine Fixtures. I wanted to test that a query gave me back an expected entity from my fixture. But when I try $this->assertEquals($expectedEntity, $result);, I get Fatal error: out of memory. I'm guessing it is recursing into all the relations and the entity manager and whatnot. Is there a good way to test this equality? Should I just assertEquals on the IDs of the entities?

  • How can I prevent PermGen space errors in Netbeans?

    Every 15-30 minutes Netbeans shows a "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space". From what I learned from Google this seems to be related to classloader leaks or memory leaks in general. Unfortunatly all suggestions I found were related to application servers and I have no idea to adapted them to Netbeans. (I'm not even sure it's the same problem) Is it a problem in my application? How can I find the source?

  • Rails: find by day of week with timestamp

    I need to grab the records for same day of the week for the preceeding X days of the week. There must be a better way to do it than this: Transaction.find_by_sql "select * from transactions where EXTRACT(DOW from date) = 1 and organisation_id = 4 order by date desc limit 7" It gets me what I need but is Postgres specific and not very "Rails-y". Date is a timestamp. Anyone got suggestions?

I find it very annoying and unreadable having to type x = XMLserialization.XMLserializeLDAPconfig.DeserializeFromXML(Of XMLserialization.cConfiguration)() Is there a way to call a generic function by getting the type from the instance ?

  • How can i trace changes made to the DOM by JavaScript?

    I have a large website in development with a large amount of JS in different files. I have come across an issue where something is removing a class from the DOM. I can see it when I view source but not in Firebug. Normally I would place some alerts/console.log calls with the hasClass value but because I have no idea where to start I wanted to know if I can trace the change back when it occurs somehow? Denis

For instance, instead of mvn eclipse:eclipse completion escapes the colon mvn eclipse\:eclipse Any suggestions how this can be fixed? I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (2.6.27-17-generic) and $ bash -version GNU bash, version 3.2.39(1)-release (i486-pc-linux-gnu)

    I'm trying to write some tests (RSpec) against the AppEngine and its datastore. I've tried to load the environment and tests via: appcfg.rb run -S spec app/tests/ And I end up with the following error: spec:19: undefined method `bin_path' for Gem:Module (NoMethodError) I can run non-appengine specs just fine by running: spec app/tests/ Any suggestions on how to get RSpec up and running with JRuby and Google App Engine would be greatly appreciated. Java's pattern matcher doesn't seem to accept \? as a valid escape sequence but it also fails to work with the tester at myregexp.com.   • Plot points instead of lines? JFreeChart PolarChart

    Currently, the PolarChart joins all the coordinates with lines creating a polygon. I just want it to plot each point with a dot and NOT join them together. Is this possible? I have tried using translateValueThetaRadiusToJava2D() and Graphics2D to draw circles but it's very clunky and contrived. Any suggestions welcome!
