    How do you delete one or more fax jobs from the Job History on a Xerox Workcentre Pro 123? The Xerox Workcentre Pro 123 is a combination copier, printer, scanner and fax machine, and it keeps a history of the numbers dialed for sending faxes, including any long distance access codes that were dialed. In order to keep these access codes private, I'd like to remove these jobs from the job history, or alternatively clear the entire job history. Unfortunately the User Guide and the Quick Reference Guide don't explain how to do this.

    Is it possible to use SFTP on Linux and restrict a user account to ONE directory such that no other directory listing can be obtained? Yes, I must use SFTP, FTP is only used by people that love getting hacked. For instance I want someone to modify files in /var/www/code/ but I don't want them to be able modify anything else. I don't even want them to see the contents /tmp/. (I will accept a "quick and dirty" solution, as long as it is secure.)

Without any interaction from me, and the only thing on the screen is my screen saver it crashes and the fault is "Stop" and a long string of numbers. I have had a "adapi sys message but now it seems to be this "Stop' MESSAGE. Any help will be appreciated.

    I am moving data from an almost dead HDD to an external USB drive using linux , because for some reason Windows cannot see the data. I want to copy a large amount of data over from the HDD to the USB drive with integrity checking. I thought about copying everything over and then checking with md5summer but this would take a reaally long time because its a lot of data and this is not a very powerful PC. What tool can use to do this on Linux?

    I am working on legacy projects with thousands of files spanning more than 10 projects. I am wondering what other people are using for searching string in a text file. I am using windows and i typically search on 10,000 files to make sure some code is not called from other places. I've tried numerous text search tools mentioned here such as Actual Search & Replace, Ultraedit, notepad++ but they all take very long time to search due to the large # of files they have to look into.

  • Network Printers

    We have a sever that shares all the printers. The PC's that are running on XP professional get a error message quoting (Connect to Printer). The only way I can find to get around the problem is by restating the printer and as soon is it comes online you can then add it but you have not got long. do you think it could be anything to-do with updates on the sever? the sever system is running Windows Server 2003 any help would be much appreciated. I have a huge file (serveral gigabyes) partially copied to a network drive, and it took a long time, and it was mostly done before the copy operation stopped due to a network problem that is now fixed. How do I resume the file copy. I don't want an inefficient script, and ecp didn't work (it doesn't seem to work for large files).

  • compile Passenger statically into Apache httpd?

    I prefer to disable httpd dynamic module loading on my production server. I've been using mod_jk linked statically into httpd for quite a long time and it proved to be stable. Now I would like to add Ruby Passenger (mod_rails/mod_rack) to my httpd. I wonder if it is possible to link it statically into Apache httpd the same way too? (without producing a huge httpd) If it is, are there any potential pitfalls, safety or performance concerns having both mod_jk and mod_rails within the same executable? Thanks

    my windows that i open or bring up or i believe a number of other things i do often "disappear"(I believe usually move behind another window that i have open,or maybe becom3e minimized, or perhaps disappear entirely). My question is what determines on a pc windows 7 64-bit computer how long a window stays open, or what determines which window is up front?     I'm trying to set up a redundant connection for our web hosting servers. I have a BGP-capable router connecting two lines from two separate ISP's, one fiber (primary), one DSL (failover). I've already confirmed that I can push routes into the DSL ISP's system, so long as they aren't malicious. My question is, what do I need to do on the fiber side to make those IP's routable through the DSL? Is there something I'm missing?

    I am a webdeveloper and my current working tools are: Terminal (ssh, tailing logs, grep, git, etc) Eclipse (PDT, Javascript, etc) Firefox (Developer Toolbar + Firebug) The problem is that I hate using the eclipse navigation tree. For me it is a lot easier to go to the Terminal and do something like this: $ eclipse /var/www/myproject/long/path/lib/Driver/Sql.php The annoying part is that the eclipse window is not focused after this command. I have to manually click on the eclipse window (using mouse... :@ grrr) Anyway to force eclipse to be focused?

  • Fedora 13 post security update boot problem

    Hello. About a month ago I installed a security update that had new Kernek 2.6.34.x from 2.6.33.x), this is when the problem occurred for the first time. After the install my computer would not boot at all, black screen without any visible hard drive activity (I gave it good 30 minutes on black screen, before took actions)... I poped in installation DVD and went in rescue mode to change back the boot option to old kernel (was just a guess where the problem was). After restart computer loaded just file, took a long time for it to start because of SELinux targeted policy relabel is required. Relabeling could take very long time depending on file size. I assumed that the update got messed up somehow and continued working with modified boot option. Couple of days ago, there was another kernel update. I installed it and same problem as before. This rules out corrupted update theory... Black screen right after 'BIOS' screen before OS gets loaded. I had to rescue system again... Below is copy of my grub.conf file.
