  • How do I output a webpage that contains MathML to PDF?

    - by samiz
    My web application displays MathML embedded in HTML using the MathPlayer plugin. I need to output to PDF. I have PDF components (Dynamic PDF, ABCpdf), but they don't know how to parse the MathML, of course. Is there a library that can help me translate the MathML to an image or something that I can feed to the PDF components on the fly in the web application?

  • Getting Data From Webpages?

    - by fuzzygoat
    When looking to get data from a web page whats the recommended method if the page does not provide a structured data feed? Am I right in thinking that its just a case of doing an NSURLRequest and then hacking what you need out of the responseData(NSData*)? I am not too concerned about the implementation in Xcode, I am more curious about actually collecting the data, before I start coding a "hunt & peck" through a list of data. gary

  • Access external xml using xslt document function return 401

    - by Ciprian Grosu
    On MOSS2007, I have a webpart that display the content of a xml feed. I use a xslt with parameters for transforamtions. There is a situation when I receive a 401 Authorisation exception. I realize that this happen when a document() function from my xslt try to open an external xml. If I try to open this xml in browser all work ok. I provided my admin credentials to the web part and to the XmlSecureResolver. Same problem. The webpart is on server1 and the xml feed and external xml required by xslt is on server2. What can be ? protected override void RenderContents(HtmlTextWriter writer) { base.RenderContents(writer); if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(this.xmlUrl) || this.xmlResponseStream == null) return; try { XslCompiledTransform transform = new XslCompiledTransform(); if (UseXslt) { XmlTextReader stylesheet = null; try { SPSite site = new SPSite(xsltlUrl); SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb(); SPFile file = web.GetFile(xsltlUrl); if (file != null) { stylesheet = new XmlTextReader(file.OpenBinaryStream()); } } catch(Exception ex) { stylesheet = new XmlTextReader(xsltlUrl); } if (stylesheet != null) { transform.Load(stylesheet, new XsltSettings(true, true), GetAResolver()); } using (XmlReader reader = new XmlTextReader(this.xmlResponseStream)) { string theParams = xsltProperties; XsltArgumentList xslAgrs = GetXsltArgumentList(xsltProperties); XmlTextWriter results = new XmlTextWriter(writer.InnerWriter); if (UseProperties) { transform.Transform(reader, xslAgrs, results, GetASecureResolver()); } else { transform.Transform(reader, results); } reader.Close(); } } else { string feedAsString = null; using (StreamReader rssReader = new StreamReader(this.xmlResponseStream)) { feedAsString = rssReader.ReadToEnd(); writer.InnerWriter.Write(SPHttpUtility.HtmlEncode(feedAsString)); } } } catch (Exception ex) { writer.Write(ex.Message); if (this.xmlResponseStream != null) { this.xmlResponseStream.Close(); this.xmlResponseStream.Dispose(); } } } private static XmlSecureResolver GetASecureResolver() { // Create a secure resolver XmlSecureResolver resolver = new XmlSecureResolver(new XmlUrlResolver(), "http://externalservername.com/thesite/"); string proxyUserName = RssFeedUtility.GetConfigFileReader().ProxyUserName; string proxyUserPwd = RssFeedUtility.GetConfigFileReader().ProxyUserPassword; string proxyUserDomain = RssFeedUtility.GetConfigFileReader().ProxyUserDomain; resolver.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(proxyUserName, proxyUserPwd, proxyUserDomain); return resolver; }

    Hey. I use FBStreamDialog to let users publish on their news feed. [fbStreamDialog show]; makes the dialog view popup, the user can press cancel or submit that message. Now...my problem is that both buttons close the dialog view and call the delegate method dialogDidSucceed. How do I find out which button was pressed? Its very important for me to know, any useful advice would be reaally really nice! Thanks, John

  • MacOS Virtual Input Devices

    - by computergeek6
    How can I create a virtual HID device in code? I'm trying to avoid writing a kernel extension to accomplish this, but it seems to be the only way. I need to be able to create virtual HID devices of all types, and have an app running in the background feed them events. Is there a way to do this in user-space, or must I venture into kernel land?

  • CSS placement of text

    - by Josh
    Anyone know how I can get "Posted by AUTHOR on April 3rd, 2010 | 0 Comments" underneath the headline of the news links WITHOUT it being apart of the A CLASS? I want it to look, read, and function like: [IMAGE] HEADLINE Posted by AUTHOR on April 3rd, 2010 | 0 Comments All of that in the initial looking field, then the user can click and it expands further. I can obviously get it to work if I put it in the A CLASS tag, but that's the problem. I can't have it there.

  • PHP script works fine until I send it a parameter from HTTPService in Flash Builder 4?

    - by ben
    I'm using a PHP script to read an RSS feed in my Flex 4 app. The script works when I put the url of the feed in the actual script, but I can't get it to work when I try to send the URL as a parameter from a HTTPService in Flex. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here is the HTTPService from Flex 4 that I'm using: <mx:HTTPService url="http://talk.6te.net/proxy.php" id="proxyService" method="POST" result="rssResult()" fault="rssFault()"> <mx:request> <url> http://feeds.feedburner.com/nah_right </url> </mx:request> </mx:HTTPService> This is the script that works: <?php $ch = curl_init(); $timeout = 30; $userAgent = $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "http://feeds.feedburner.com/nah_right"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, $timeout); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, $userAgent); $response = curl_exec($ch); if (curl_errno($ch)) { echo curl_error($ch); } else { curl_close($ch); echo $response; } ?> But this is what I actually want to use, but it doesn't work: <?php $ch = curl_init(); $timeout = 30; $userAgent = $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $_REQUEST['url']); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, $timeout); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, $userAgent); $response = curl_exec($ch); if (curl_errno($ch)) { echo curl_error($ch); } else { curl_close($ch); echo $response; } ?> Here is the request and response output of the HTTPService from the network monitor in Flash Builder 4 (using the PHP script that doesn't work): Request: POST /proxy.php HTTP/1.1 Host: talk.6te.net User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 115 Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-length: 97 url=%0A%09%09%09%09%09http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds%2Efeedburner%2Ecom%2Fnah%5Fright%0A%20%20%20%20%09%09%09 Response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Mon, 10 May 2010 03:23:27 GMT Server: Apache X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.13 Content-Length: 15 Content-Type: text/html <url> malformed I've tried putting the URL in " " in the HTTPService, but that didn't do anything.   • Is there a clean way to determine RSS version?

    - by Fenick
    Is it possible to determine the feed type and version in a way so that you can make sure that you have the correct version. At the lowest level so to speak. Namespaces is an obvious approach, but its not present for a lot of feeds. Any thoughts? (I'm trying to mashup varioius RSS Feeds). Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Django's makemessages creates a lot of fuzzy entries

    - by jack
    Each time I added some strings to a Django string, I run "django-admin.py makemessages -all" to generate .PO files for all locales. The problem is even I only added 5 news strings, the makemessages command will make 50 strings as fuzzy in .PO files which brings a lot of extra work for our locale maintainers. This also makes the entire i18n unusable before they manually revise those fuzzy strings.
