  I am seeking a self-serv advertising service for my websites, but I have a few restrictions that seem to make what i'm looking for hard to find. Specifically, I want to place "advertise here" links on my pages and allow end-users to purchase advertising on that site, page, and location. These ads will not be part of a national network. Supports multi-tenancy - That is, I have a number of domains using the same "web application" but with customized content per domain. When a customer wants to advertise on a given domain, then the ads will only appear on that domain and on that page of the domain (even though the page name may be the same across multiple domains). Supports fixed ad prices, not just CPC. I need monthly and quarterly pricing regardless of performance. Integrates with OpenX and other ad networks, so that if there is no self-serv on a given zone, it will use national advertising or direct advertising. Shiny Ads has much of this, but i'm looking for alternatives, as their prices are a bit crazy (20%) and can only do PayPal.

  I'm designing a centered website (jQuery Isotope). Thre sandbox is here. I have used some online iPad 1&2 emulators to test how the site is viewed on these devices. Then, I managed to get hold of the real thing. Result: on real iPads, the site is centered and the layout adjusts automatically as expected. In online iPad emulators, the site is not quite centered and additional Isotope elements are squeezed in. Of course, I trust the real thing more than online emulators, but why is this happening? To me, it feels like website testing with online emulators is not so reliable after all? If this question is wrong here, please move it or tell me where it should go. Instead, I was referred to Delayed Chained Payments in PayPal's Adaptive Payments API. This allows the customer to pay the primary receiver (my business) before the payment is later triggered to be sent to the secondary receivers (the freelancers). However, at the time that the customer initiates this transaction, you must understand that nobody yet knows who will receive the reward. So, before I program this whole Adaptive Payments system, is it even possible to change or add the secondary receivers after the customer has paid? If not, what can I do?

• Can other domain registrars view non-public whois information?

  If my domains are hosted at a registrar (lets take Gandi, for example) and it has privacy protection on the whois information, can another ICANN-accredited registrar (GoDaddy, for example) still view my actual information that is behind the privacy guard? i.e. I don't have a GoDaddy account. But, since they are ICANN-accredited, could they access the real whois info without the privacy protection?

  My pages get indexed after 1 day, but some days later disappear from search results. Any idea why this happens? I've been trying to find any of the usual problems like hidden links or other issues, but can't find anything wrong. Here is an example. It was on first page until yesterday, today is gone. This is happening with all my pages lately, so I think it must be something common to all, but can't figure out what.

• Google Analytics doesn't show the correct landing page for my Facebook ads

  Most of the visitors to my site are supposed to come from an external link with URL my-site.com/en/var from Facebook ads but Google Analytics shows that most of the landing page is my-site.com/var without en which is the prefix for English version of my site. Am I missing something to configure Google Analytics? Or is Facebook sending the visitors to the wrong URL (by the preview page of the Facebook ads the URL is set correct with the prefix en)? Any advice is appreciated.

  I'm responsible for ICT at FOS Open Scouting, a belgian scouting organisation. Our website was hacked a few years back and blocked by Facebook as a result. After we regained control over the site Facebook continued to block our domain and this is causing us a number of problems. We have tried many times in the past year to contact Facebook using their 'I am blocked from adding content' form (https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=block_appeal) to no avail. The blocked URLs are: http://www.fos.be and http://www.fosopenscouting.be Does anyone know how we should/could proceed?

• Is there a way to hide text from descriptions in Google

  The first line of text on all of our client's product pages is "Download hi-res images", which of course isn't what we'd want in the description when people search for their products. Is there any way to hide this text/link so that Google and the others just ignore it and go on into the text description below? I suppose we could use a meta-description, but the client isn't very good at computers and it's such a small site it seems silly.

• How can I set up Friendly URL to Nginx?

  I'm trying to use dokuwiki with its Friendly URL on Nginx. The problem that I'm facing is, it doesn' show correct path to any link(even stylesheet, and images) on every page It looks that paths are missing wiki/ part. If I click on the image and show its destination, it shows this url http://foo-sample.com/lib/tpl/dokuwiki/images/logo.png But it has to be this below. http://foo-sample.com/wiki/lib/tpl/dokuwiki/images/logo.png and login URL is not working either. If I click on login link, it takes me to http://foo-sample.com/wiki/start?do=login&sectok=ff7d4a68936033ed398a8b82ac9 and it says 404 Not Found I took a look at this https://www.dokuwiki.org/rewrite#nginx and tried as much as possible.   I published a new site with some delicate content on September 26, 2012 UTC and no results from sub-pages - only from the main page - appear in Google Search. Entering "neven lovric" "cat out of the bag" into Google Search finds the main page. Is this type of behavior normal? I ask this because the first site was ceased - my account was locked - by the NameCheap, Inc. Risk Assessment Team, allegedly due to PayPal, Inc. reversing my payment for the extension of the registration of the domain before I was able to publish any content on it. In 2011 UTC, Google, Inc. blocked all results for certain keywords from being displayed to their users in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the demonstrations there.   I am trying to create a backup of my website for free. I just want to have a backup of my website, including not only all files and the configuration but also the databases. I mean, a full backup. If it can be done automatically, it would be better. I feel there are better ways than using the cpanel to achieve that (actually, I believe sometimes web hosters does not have any cpanel). I read the following on how to do it: Automatically mirror the entire contents and configuration of your main server to a secondary backup server on a completely separate network in a different data centre. Use RSync, FXP, cPanel voodoo, or whatever method you wish to automate syncing. That is why I installed Rsync Daemon which is an alternative to SSH for remote backups. I configured it but the test went wrong.   I'm at my wits' end. I have just ripped out a website and in the process of rebuilding everything. Previously, the 'home page' of the website is a blog, with the address "www.mydomain.com/blog1.php". After exporting everything, I deleted the whole directory, and -- based on request -- immediately create a blog/ directory. The idea is to get the blog back up as soon as possible, and temporarily redirect people accessing www.mydomain.com to the blog. Accessing the blog via http://www.mydomain.com/blog/ works. So I put in an index.php file containing a (temporary) redirect to the blog's address. The problem: The server insists on opening blog1.php instead of index.php. Even after we deleted all the files (including .htaccess). And even putting in a new .htaccess file with the single line of DirectoryIndex index.php doesn't work. The server stubbornly wants blog1.php. Now, the server is actually a webhosting, so I have no actual access to it. I have to do my work via cPanel. Currently, I work around this issue by creating blog1.php; but I really want to know why the server does not revert to opening index.php. Did I perhaps miss some important settings in the byzantine cPanel menu page?

I may have some confusion in terms. My understanding is you need a merchant's account to accept credit card payments, but as we are using PayPal, is this necessary?   I am serching for a script (preferably in PHP) or an external solution which lets me create an "url shortener" with advanced reports. We have been using Google Short Links for a while: it works really well, but it lacks reporting (it only displays a counter with the total number of redirects). Our setup is as follows: "go.mydomain.com" points to the web service, and we can create links such as "go.mydomain.com/product1". What I'm looking for is a similar service (or self-hosted solution) but with advanced reports, so we can track redirects by day, month, etc, distinguish between mobile and desktop users (very important!) and so on.

What I am trying to figure out is that if I move over to Facebook Comments or Disqus commenting, and get rid of the users entirely, will that lighten the load? I would think it would because the only time you would be hitting the server, and not the cache, is when you're logged in - which only the admins would be. I know it's only 2.5 - 3% but I wasn't 100% sure.
