    We have Youtube videos on a site and want to detect if it is likely that they will not be able to view them due to (mostly likely) company policy or otherwise. We have two sites: 1) Flex / Flash 2) HTML I think with Flex I can attempt to download http://youtube.com/crossdomain.xml and if it is valid XML assume the site is available But with HTML I dont know how to do it. I cant even think of a 'nice hack'

    I am looking for a way to implement "View as HTML" (as seen in e.g. GMail) for Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents stored in an intranet. Can anyone recommend approaches for this? The intranet consists of multiple .NET sites, so I would prefer a .NET library (one that doesn't launch MS Word on the server) for this capability, but any kind of arrangement is welcome.

    Just installed the trial version of Visual Studio 2010 RTM. Now I keep getting : The name 'NoPanel' does not exist in the current context Errors (where no panel is just about any control in the .aspx file) also I got several errors trying to deploy pages and it would not send the .cs file over ...or pdfs in the Content directory (even though I had copy always set)... This is happening on a pair of mixed ASP.NET MVC and Webforms sites.

    I am relatively new to website design and specifically working in ASP.NET, i am using CSS to style my site, but when i use ASP.NET Controls like GridView, Navigation controls, etc ... they are messed up by the style sheets, and you can't see that until you run the website, because the controls are translated to HTML and so affected by CSS in a way that you can't predict, how to solve this, and is there a better way to layout and desgin sites in ASP.NET.

    We have a web application that's deployed to many websites with only frontend changes, the shared backend portion has it's DLL in the GAC so we only have to update that one dll and all the sites get the update. Is there a way to override the GAC with a DLL in the /bin folder to test out new features before they get released?

For example this drop-list: Fruits Apple Banana Orange Colors Red White Black The above are all options, but some have "inlets" or "offsets" or whatever you want to call it. How is this done with js? I can get my servlets from tomcat's examples, and also my own servlets running from localhost. http://localhost/examples/servlets/ works fine for the supplied tomcat examples. How do i add servlets to existing web sites? I've tried adding a virtual directory to my website, the same way i did for the Default Website, but i get 404 errors thanks
