  • how to enrich my programming background? [on hold]

    I am not sure whether I post my question in right place. I am a master student in computer science and I will graduate next year.Recently, I failed in an interview. Because (at least I think) the interviewer did not think my background strong enough although I finished 5 courses projects and currently working on other 2 projects in graduate school. It seems that nowadays, recruiters like these candidates who finish some projects out of school/work. So I wanna enrich my background. So, I hope you guys recommend some java/C++ projects to me, which I can finish in two or three months. And it would be better if concurrency programming or other fancy skills are needed.

    Hi, I just wanna ask if there's a possibility to retrieve the contents of a 'dump' file from the recycle bin programatically. The contents that I'm looking for are file attributes like 'Date Last Modified, 'Data created', 'size', etc (without restoring the file itself to the original location to preserve the original attributes found while inside the recycle bin.)     Hi, I've several web user controls on my asp.net page and I wanna pass values between them. For example : There is a dropDownList in one of them and when user selects any item from dropDownList, it can pass the selected value to the other user control which includes GridView to show related data of selected item value from the user control which contains the dropdownlist.     I am actually using the pChart PHP library for generate graphs. I wanna know if it's possible to give a different line format for a graph with multiple series. I need a line with for example 3px of width but other line with 1px of width. Is that possible?     Hi Stackoverflowers, if i rebuild my catalog in plone i get many of this infos: 2010-02-18T11:26:09 INFO Archetypes Error while trying to convert file contents to 'text/plain' in .getIndexable() of : Unable to find binary "wvHtml" in /sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/usr/lib/jvm/jre/bin This happens to doc and pdf files.     Multiple NSURLConnections being started (in a single UIViewController) to gather different kinds of data. When they return (-connectionDidFinishLoading) I wanna do stuff with the data, depending on the type of data that has arrived. But one prob, HOW DO I KNOW WHICH NSURLConnection returned? I need to know so I can take action specific to the type of data that came. (Eg. display a twitter update if it was the twitter xml data)(Eg. display an image if it was a photo) How do people usually solve this?
