  • How does Rails Plugin Storage work?

    Trying to figure out how to install rails plugins manually on windows so I have a few questions. What does the directory need to be named in vendor/plugins? Is it arbitrary or is it linked to something within the plugin config files or is that what you set in the environment.rb? Once I've copied the files to the correct directory, do I always need to run something inside like init.rb or is it good to go? What's the difference between 'require' and 'include'? Thanks!

    Often I want to have a main repository of source, shared by several "similar" projects. Each sub-project contains most of the same files, but is a specific configurable instance. That means there are usually a bunch of files and directories that need to be different for each instance. In CVS I used to create the main repository and the secondary ones, then use the modules file to bind the two together for a specific name. In SVN I used svn:externals to tie back the secondary directories into the main one. What works in Mercurial?

This is within a Web application Project i.e. proper form to be pakaged as a WAR but I am calling it as part of a main method (just to see how this works). How can I make it so that a new file is created at a location relative to the current one i.e not have to put in an absolute path.

    I am working on a project with a tableView controller and the detail views contains CMMotionManager.When i open 5 or 6 detailViews all goes well,but after a while the app goes slow and finally crashes.On instruments the only leak is on main.m , also i must say that I'm using ARC and i can't dealloc or realese the instances.     I have a listview called quotesList, and I am trying to use an adapter to put information in it. Here is my code: ListView listView = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.quotesList); String[]values={"Android","iOS","Windows Phone","Other Stuff"}; ArrayAdapter<String> adapter=new ArrayAdapter<String>(this,android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, android.R.id.text1,values); listView.setAdapter(adapter); The only error that Eclipse shows is in the listView.setAdapter(adapter) line. The bold represents where the red squiggly is. Syntax error on token "adapter", VariableDeclaratorId expected after this token The period after listView gives an error as well, but I'm pretty sure its just related to the other error, as its a syntax error. Syntax error on token(s), misplaced construct(s) Thanks in advance!

QTY is a derived column | Position | QTY -------------------- 1 Clerk 2 2 Mgr 2 Here's what I'm not having luck with: SELECT Position, Count(position) AS 'QTY' FROM tblemployee Where ('QTY' != 1) GROUP BY Position I know that my Position is set up as varchar(255) Count produces a integer data and my where clasue is accurate so that leads me to believe that that Count() is jamming me up. Please throw up an example so I can reference later. Thanks for the help!

    Hello, I was able to get the navigation dropdown to show the letters in a different color from the background (white in this case) in Chrome browser. But when I view the same page in IE or FF, the whole background is just all green. Here is an example of such a page: http://www.comehike.com/hikes/hikes_and_groups.php And here is the CSS code that makes the color show up white in Chrome navigation li li a {color:#white; text-decoration:none;} To see the difference, just mouse over the top right where it says "community" or "hikes" Thanks, Alex

I have a ScrollViewer and inside it an ItemsControl and within ItemsTemplate I have a UserControl. I want to drag that UserControl within ItemsControl.     In Java, array is a class and extends Object. I am curious to know about this special array class. I don't find the class definition anywhere. Doing a getClass().getName() gives strange result.   • Facebook email Permission, oath2, doesnt work?

    since the new Auth Dialog from Facebook (for my App & homepage), I cannot get the dialog to show that my homepage/app needs the users email when connection to my homepage/app. In the Auth-section of my app I've added "email" to the User & Friend Permissions. Also I've added it to the referal when someone clicks the "Login with facebook"-button. When someone clicks the Facebook-button, he/she redirects to a page which has the PHP-code with Facebook SDK PHP (latest). Here's how I generate the send-to-url for the dialog: $login_url = $facebook-getLoginUrl(array('req_perms' = 'email,publish_stream')); header("Location: ".$login_url); But when the Dialog pops up, the only permission request it does is "basic information". I need to request the Email. Am I stupid or is it a bug somehow? I've also recreated the App.

  • YAHOO.util.Connect.asyncRequest does not work in Safari

    When I request a webpage using YAHOO.util.Connect.asyncRequest in Safari I always get Communication Failure message in callback's failure properties statusText. The same method works in IE. What could be wrong here? Here is the code. When the code is executed I always get two alerts: "Three" and "communications failure undefined" (corresponding to the second alert in the failure part below.) Also when I attach the debugger and put break point in the SAProvision.aspx's page load event, the break point is not hit. So it is sure that in safari the page is not being called.   • Query to work out possible destinations on a set of routes using SQL Server 2008

    I'm writing an application that models train routes, which are stored in the database table [TrainStop] as follows: RouteId StationCode StopIndex IsEnabled So a given route consists of several rows with the StopIndex indicating the order. The problem I am trying to solve is to say which stations a user can get to from a given starting station. This would be relatively straightforward BUT it is also possible to disable stops which means that a user cannot get to any destinations after that stop. It is also possible that multiple routes can share stations e.g.: Route 1: A, B, C, D, E Route2: P, Q, B, C, D, R So if a user is at B they can go to C, D, E and R but if station D is disabled they can get to C only. Solving this problem is fairly straightforward within C# but I am wondering whether it can be solved elegantly and efficiently within SQL? I'm struggling to find a way, for each route, to rule out stations past a row that is not enabled.

    Hello everyone I'm trying to tweak a tiny bit a wordpress, but i am level 0 in php, so i kinda suck :/ I want to add a custom 'tweet this' button (i know there already is a gazillion of them, i just wanted to do it on my own, for fun) So, i'm trying this : <a href="http://twitter.com/home?status=<?php strip_tags(the_excerpt()) ?>" >tweet this</a> the_excerpt() returns "<p> ... excerpt ... </p>" and the strip_tags function does not strip those <p> tags !
