  • LESS CSS on Windows

    - by Mojave Storm
Trying to set up LESS for css (see http://lesscss.org/index.html) on my Windows box, and I've installed ruby and rubygems and I've followed the instructions here (http://lesscss.org/docs) exactly. I have a file 'teststyle.less' in C:\ and in command when I type lessc teststyle.less to compile into a .css file, I get the error "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." Out of those familiar with LESS, do any of you have a solution to my problem? Did I mess up the install? Thanks -Mojave Storm

  • setup.py adding options (aka setup.py --enable-feature )

    - by pygabriel
I'm looking for a way to include some feature in a python (extension) module in installation phase. In a practical manner: I have a python library that has 2 implementations of the same function, one internal (slow) and one that depends from an external library (fast, in C). I want that this library is optional and can be activated at compile/install time using a flag like: python setup.py install # (it doesn't include the fast library) python setup.py --enable-fast install I have to use Distutils, however all solution are well accepted!

  • Error with using "dynamic" keyword in Silverlight app

    - by joemoe
I get the following error: "One or more types required to compile a dynamic expression cannot be found. Are you missing references to Microsoft.CSharp.dll and System.Core.dll" I do have System.Core.dll, do have I to find Microsoft.CSharp somewhere? It wasn't part of the project and it isn't in the references list.

  • Where is Castle's AbstractFacility class?

    - by ripper234
I am trying to compile Castle.Facilities.ActiveRecordIntegration with the trunk version of Castle.Core. ARIntegration uses 'AbstractFacility', which sits in the Castle.MicroKernel DLL. The DLL is now nowhere to be found. Where is ARIntegration/MicroKernel? How do I proceed?

  • Using JRuby/Jython for Ruby/Python interoperability?

    - by dbr
Quite-probably a silly question, as I don't know much about Java/Jython/JRuby/bytecode, but.. I stumbled across _why's unholy again today.. It allows you to output Python bytecode from Ruby code.. Basically allowing them to produce the same bytecode.. Jython outputs Java bytecode, as does JRuby.. Since these both compile to the same bytecode, does this mean you could potentially use any Python library from Ruby, and Ruby libraries from Python?

  • Rotate webpage via code?

    - by Adam Davis
I'm hoping that there's a relatively simple way to rotate a webpage a little bit, 30 degrees or so, while still leaving it fully functional and usable. I completely control the page, and can modify it to make this easier if needed. I'd rather not re-write the whole thing in SVG, though, but perhaps javascript and canvas will work? Is there a way using CSS, Javascript, or some other cross browser method that would allow me to accomplish this?

  • Identifier for win64 configuration in Qmake

    - by Tuminoid
Is there a "win64" identifier in Qmake project files? Qt Qmake advanced documentation does not mention other than unix / macx / win32. So far I've tried using: win32:message("using win32") win64:message("using win64") amd64:message("using amd64") The result is always "using win32". Must I use a separate project-file for x32 and x64 projects, so they would compile against correct libraries? Is there any other way to identify between 32-bit and 64-bit environments?

  • Calling a static method on a generic type parameter

    - by Remi Despres-Smyth
I was hoping to do something like this, but it appears to be illegal in C#: public Collection MethodThatFetchesSomething<T>() where T : SomeBaseClass { return T.StaticMethodOnSomeBaseClassThatReturnsCollection(); } I get a compile-time error: "'T' is a 'type parameter', which is not valid in the given context." Given a generic type parameter, how can I call a static method on the generic class? The static method has to be available, given the constraint.

Can anyone suggest a reason this might be happening?

  • Regular exp to validate email in C

    - by Liju Mathew
    Hi, We need to write a email validation program in C. We are planning to use GNU Cregex.h) regular expression. The regular expression we prepared is [a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+(?:\.[a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+)*@(?:[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])?\.)+[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])? But the below code is failing while compiling the regex. #include <stdio.h> #include <regex.h> int main(const char *argv, int argc) { const char *reg_exp = "[a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+(?:.[a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+)*@(?:[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])?.)+[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])?"; int status = 1; char email[71]; regex_t preg; int rc; printf("The regex = %s\n", reg_exp); rc = regcomp(&preg, reg_exp, REG_EXTENDED|REG_NOSUB); if (rc != 0) { if (rc == REG_BADPAT || rc == REG_ECOLLATE) fprintf(stderr, "Bad Regex/Collate\n"); if (rc == REG_ECTYPE) fprintf(stderr, "Invalid Char\n"); if (rc == REG_EESCAPE) fprintf(stderr, "Trailing \\\n"); if (rc == REG_ESUBREG || rc == REG_EBRACK) fprintf(stderr, "Invalid number/[] error\n"); if (rc == REG_EPAREN || rc == REG_EBRACE) fprintf(stderr, "Paren/Bracket error\n"); if (rc == REG_BADBR || rc == REG_ERANGE) fprintf(stderr, "{} content invalid/Invalid endpoint\n"); if (rc == REG_ESPACE) fprintf(stderr, "Memory error\n"); if (rc == REG_BADRPT) fprintf(stderr, "Invalid regex\n"); fprintf(stderr, "%s: Failed to compile the regular expression:%d\n", __func__, rc); return 1; } while (status) { fgets(email, sizeof(email), stdin); status = email[0]-48; rc = regexec(&preg, email, (size_t)0, NULL, 0); if (rc == 0) { fprintf(stderr, "%s: The regular expression is a match\n", __func__); } else { fprintf(stderr, "%s: The regular expression is not a match: %d\n", __func__, rc); } } regfree(&preg); return 0; } The regex compilation is failing with the below error. The regex = [a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+(?:.[a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+)*@(?:[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])?.)+[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])? Invalid regex main: Failed to compile the regular expression:13 What is the cause of this error? Whether the regex need to be modified? Thanks, Mathew Liju

  • Is there any syntax checker for knockout.js?

    - by YMC
I like knockout.js, the only problem is Visual Studio knows nothing about this framework, so it does not prevent me from silly things like assigning some value to observable property with '=' operator which makes it regular property, and it's not easy to reveal at compile time and often at runtime even. I wonder is there any syntax checker/highlighter for Visual Studio 2010 that helps me prevent faults like this? What about VS 2011? It might be a great help for developers who are new to knockout. Thanks

  • VPATH in makefile issue.

    - by Ashok Patil
Hello, I have a question related to VPATH. I'm playing around with make files and the VPATH variable. Basically, I'm grabbing source files from a few different places (specified by the VPATH), and trying to compile them into the another directory ( $CURDIR/OBJ/ ) using simply a list of .o-files that I want. Can I create .o's in any another directory other than current dir when using VPATH??

  • joining null in MS SQL server, Oracle and informatica

    - by jest
hi! I've two tables to join with a column(say emp_id)..if emp_id in both the tables have null values, how'll MS SQL server and Oracle treat??? Coz, i read that informatica will neglect the NULL rows when joining..if i handle the null, by substituting -1, a cross-join will happen which i don't want.. what can i do here? I cannot completely neglect the rows which has NULL. Thanks
