• Passing arguments to UILabel [ 2 ] *

  I'm trying to call a method of the below (Scroll animation class) type from a viewcontroller class. -(void)CreateLabel:(CGRect )frame andLabel:(UILabel *[NUM_LABELS])label andview:(UIView *)view; I got some errors when I tried passing the argument. Any suggestion on how to call this?   I've seen this question regarding inheritance in Backbone: Backbone.js view inheritance. Useful but doesn't answer my question. The problem I'm experiencing is this: Say I have a class Panel (model in this example); var Panel = Backbone.Model.extend({ defaults : { name : 'my-panel' } }); And then an AdvancedPanel; var AdvancedPanel = Panel.extend({ defaults : { label : 'Click to edit' } }); The following doesn't work: var advancedPanel = new AdvancedPanel(); alert(advancedPanel.get('name')); // Undefined :( JSFiddle here: http://jsfiddle.net/hWmnb/ I guess I can see that I can achieve this myself through some custom extend function that creates a deep copy of the prototype, but this seems like a common thing that people might want from Backbone inheritance, is there a standard way of doing it?

  I am trying to access a file I have contained in the jar. The beginning of my code is as follows: import java.io.*; import java.net.*; public class intro { public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException{ URL jarUrl = intro.class.getResource("myFile.jar"); File myJar = new File(jarUrl.toString()); FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(myjar); } I'm getting the following error: Exception in thread "main" java.io.FileNotFoundException: file:\...myFile.jar (The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect) at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method) at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at intro.main(intro.java:10) It seems to have no problem finding the URL or initializing the file, but I can't get the FileInputStream to work. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Help would be appreciated.

The question, how do I render those icons - does itemset support nested trigger elements? If not, how do I go about achieving it (clicking on the item results in an action other than edit or delete, so cannot use that; can show delete/edit on the page shown when user clicks on the item, but want to save that one click if the user just wants to delete the item for example).   I need to create a couple of UIButtons programmatically in my app (iOS 6.0 and above). Each button should have the optimal width to display button label text (of various lenghts). I want to display the buttons in a "wrap around" style: Starting from the left edge, each button should be positioned next to each other horizontally (in a defined order), and if a button does not fit in the current "line", it should start a new line on the left edge below the previous line. I could manually calculate the frame of each button in my code, but should I use AutoLayout (with programmatically creates NSLayoutConstraints) instead? How exactly would I need to set it up?

  I have to parse a String that can assume hex values or other non-hex values 0xff, 0x31 or A, PC, label, and so on. I use this code to divide the two cases: String input = readInput(); try { int hex = Integer.decode(input); // use hex ... } catch (NumberFormatException e) { // input is not a hex, continue parsing } Can this code be considered "ugly" or difficult to read? Are there other (maybe more elegant) solutions? EDIT : I want to clarify that (in my case) a wrong input doesn't exist: i just need to distinguish if it is a hex number, or not. And just for completeness, i'm making a simple assebler for DCPU-16.

Right now it either opens the portfolio page I made with the gallery in it or opens images separately (without shadowbox), this was because I tried adding html to the Nav Label in the wordpress dashboard.   I have a quick question How many dojo filteringselects can I have on a form? I have a form with 2 filteringselects on it, both getting data from different json datastores to populate the values. However only the first filteringselect is being populated, the other grabs no data. I am using Zend Framework and Zend_Dojo_Form to create the form elements for this. Many thanks. Ok looks like my code is broken somewhere then. Anyone's got any idea what could trigger such an error? The queue definitely exists- I do manage to peek it. Also, the reason I get the message from the error queue by peeking is just for testing purposes; I have tried doing the same thing with Receive and the result is the same.

  I am trying to use Swing Timer and I wanted to start from a very simple program. I have a window with text: "You have n seconds", where n changes from 10 to 0 every second. I know how to generate a window with text. And I understand how Timer works (it starts an action periodically). But I cannot figure out how to combing this two things. Should I use that: JLabel label = new JLabel(myMessage); and then with timer I need to update the "myMessage" variable? But I think I need to "force" my window to "update" itself (to display a new value stored in "myMessage").

• Active Scaffold + Ruby 2.3.5 not working

  Hello, I have an application with Rails 2.3.5. And Im trying to use AS latest version, I have used it previously but cant make it work here. I have my ingredient_categories Controller, where i put class Administration::IngredientCategoriesController < ApplicationController layout "default" active_scaffold :ingredient_categories end I have this set up on routes to be :active_scaffold=true I have a model also called ingredient_category, and in the views folder (inside administration/ingredient_categories, and /ingredient_categories) i have nothing as it is usual. And Im getting over and over again: Template is missing Missing template ingredient_categories/list.html in view path themes/aqueouslight:app/views I had an error before asking me for a list.erb, which I created and put <%= render :active_scaffold = 'ingredient_categories', :label = 'Categorias' % And now this error of the list.thml... Cant make it work! dont know whhy really... whould be SO simple and its burning my head now.. Thanks!
