• Creating a bouncing button in flex

  I am trying to make an effect on a button that when I mouse over it, it keeps jumping up and down smoothly and when mouse out it stops. For example, in Flex I can create page (list of something) with 3 states: Loading state (just display some animation or label with text "Please wait."), No records state (page with text saying that there is no records) and Page with populated list. It is very easy to operate with states in Flex. Is it possible to implement something similar in Android application? I would appreciate if you provide some examples.

  I'm experimenting with jquery and svg, I make up my path but now I want to change that (based on some user input) I do something like var dpath = $('path').attr("d"); $('path').attr("d",dpath.replace("150 150", "450 450")); which works fine, but this not useful when my path grows, so I wonder is there a possibility to put a label or a comment in the path to serve as a replace hook? searching for svg path comments gives me all. I'm close to write my own "replaceble" pseudo svg path code, but is there an alternative possible in svg? regards, Jeroen.

My question is - how do I set the arrow style (for the entire subgraph - or for the entire graph), without having to copy paste "[arrowhead=normal,arrowtail=dot];" next to each edge connection? • Can anyone tell me why my XML writer is not writing attributes?

  I am writing a parsing tool to help me clean up a large VC++ project before I make .net bindings for it. I am using an XML writer to read an xml file and write out each element to a new file. If an element with a certain name is found, then it executes some code and writes an output value into the elements value. So far it is almost working, except for one thing: It is not copying the attributes. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? • How can I get Text property to initialize to the objects name at design time?

  When you add a label to the form from the toolbox, its text defaults to the item's name (label1, label2, etc). How can I make this happen with a custom control? So far, I have the following, which allows me to change the text through the property window: private string _text; [BrowsableAttribute(true)] public override string Text { get { return _text; } set { _text = value; lblID.Text = _text; } } Apparently the above code works as is, but I'm not sure why. Does Text default to the object's name automatically? The question still stands for other properties which don't override Text.

• C# gridview nested in repeater update

  My current situation is to display an unknown number of Plantypes and within those Plantypes display a list of Participants(also unknown number), the participants have a textbox and a dropdown that is editable (you can't edit the individual rows, there is one update that does a bit of validation then updates all rows.) I currently have a gridview nested withing a repeater, the repeater displays the Plan in a label and OnItemDataBound I call a method to populate the gridviews. It looks great, but I can't figure out how to save all the data at once. I'm not opposed to handling this a different way, as in loose the gridview and or repeater, if someone has a better idea. This is C# and framework 2.0...there is no sorting or paging on the gridviews...just some links and the fields to update. thanks in advance, Padawan

  Is using .h as a header for a c++ file wrong? I see it all over the place, especially with code written in the "C style". I noticed that Emacs always selects C highlighting style for a .h header, but c++ for hpp or hh. Is it actually "wrong" to label your headers .h or is it just something which annoys me? EDIT: There is a good (ish) reason why this annoys me, if I have project files labelled, 'hpp & cpp' I can get away with 'grep something *pp' etc. otherwise I have to type '.h cpp'

  Hello, I have a problem with performance of my code under Windows Forms. Have a form, her layout is depending on constructor data, because he layout must be OnLoad or in Constructor generated. I generation is simple, base FlowLayoutPanel have other FlowLayoutPanels, for each have a Label and TextBox with DataBinding. • Wrapping pre-made elements using GWT?

  Hi, I've been working with GWT for awhile, I can't find a way to integrate it with a preexisting website which is a real downer. My page content is already generated for me using jsp, like: <div id='A'></div> <div id='B'></div> etc. there is no way for me to do something like this though: public void onModuleLoad() { SimplePanel spA = new SimplePanel( Document.getElementById("A")); spA.add(new Label("hello")); SimplePanel spB = new SimplePanel( Document.getElementById("B")); spB.setWidth("200px"); etc .. } seems like there's no way to just wrap a pre-existing element.   Is there a way to return the users location as a string from a model? I have a model thats job is to download same JSON data from a web service. When sending in my request I need to add ?lat=LAT_HERE&lng=LNG_HERE to the end of the string. I have seen tons of examples using the map or constantly updating a label. But I cant find out how to explicitly return the lat and lng values. Im only 2 days into iPhone dev so go easy on me :)

• Textfield being dequeued before textFieldDidEndEditing is called?

  I am using a uitableview with a bunch of dynamically created custom cells each with a label and textfield similar to the settings app on the phone. Problem occurs when i have a lot of textfields say 20, the user selects the first textfield, changes its value then scrolls to the end of the table and selects the last textfield to edit. I get a EXEC_BAD_ACCESS in the textFieldDidEndEditing method because i think the textfield value is nil?? I think this might be happending because the 1st textfield that was being edited is being dequeued when the table is scrolled. Everything works fine if you select textfields that are next to each other. Any ideas how to fix this?

• Textbox is disabled after adding text dynamically in codebehind

  Can't quite work out what is happening but The background is that I am dynamically adding table rows in a web page and some of the cells hold controls such as dropdowns etc. One of the columns pulls a size into it. However the column I am having issues with is the next column which takes the text from teh previous dropdown and shows the appropriate price. • Simplest way to create a wrapper class around some strings for a WPF DataGrid?

  I'm building a simple hex editor in C#, and I've decided to use each cell in a DataGrid to display a byte*. I know that DataGrid will take a list and display each object in the list as a row, and each of that object's properties as columns. I want to display rows of 16 bytes each, which will require a wrapper with 16 string properties. While doable, it's not the most elegant solution. Is there an easier way? I've already tried creating a wrapper around a public string array of size 16, but that doesn't seem to work. Thanks *The rational for this is that I can have spaces between each byte without having to strip them all out when I want to save my edited file. Also it seems like it'll be easier to label the rows and columns.

  I am working with the cut function to prep data for a barplot histogram but keep running into a seeming inconsistency between my labels and breaks: Error in cut.default(sample(1:1e+05, 500, T), breaks = sq, labels = sprintf("$%.0f", : labels/breaks length conflict Here is an example. I pretend that it is income data, using a sequence of 0 to $100,000 in bins of $10,000. I use the same variable to generate both breaks and labels, with minor formating on the label side. I thought they might for some reason have different lengths when comparing to a character vector, but they appear to have the same length, still. > sq<-seq(0,100000,10000) > cut(sample(1:100000, 500, T),breaks=sq,labels=sprintf("$%.0f",sq)) > length(sprintf("$%.0f",sq)) [1] [11] > length(sq) [1] [11]

• Location accuracy of Google Analytics for Android

  When testing Google Analytics (version 2) for an Android project, I noticed that the Real Time map shows my location to be about 200 miles from my actual location. I'm running my project on a physical device, which leads me to believe that Google Analytics doesn't actually send any location information, but rather gets it from the phones IP address when the data is sent to Googles server. Is there any way to alter this behavior and provide my own location data using getLastKnownLocation() for example? Sending it as an actual Label/Action string would of course work, but that means I can't use Google Analytics fancy map feature to view where my users are coming from.

• UITableView - Loading data from internet

  Hey. I have seen many apps that load data to UITableViews from the internet, and they usually load smoothly. Now it's my turn to load in that kind of data. I am getting different data at the same time, separating categories with ~ and pieces of categories with #. This works great, and I have managed to separate the data in obj-c perfectly. Everything in my app works, it's just that the loading takes a lot of time. So, I guess the real question is, how can you load in data for a tableView in the background, showing a label/UIActivityView or something while it is loading? Thank you.
