    I will openly admit that I fall on the side of Test Driven Development. I have run into a situation that I would like to test, but I haven't found a good way to do so. I have been working in ASP.NET MVC and I would like to test that the parts of code that I am putting into the view layer (and I know that I need to keep that as minimal as possible). I am looking for an equivalent in .NET to httpunit in Java or something similar.

    I would like to replicate the notification sort of system provided with CoreData NSFetchedResultController which with really little enables us to update a tableView based on events such as Insert/Update/Delete of objects represented as Cells.     How do I check to see if a column exists in a SqlDataReader object? In my data access layer, I have create a method that builds the same object for multiple stored procedures calls. One of the stored procedures has an additional column that is not used by the other stored procedures. I want to modified the method to accommodate for every scenario. My application is written in C#.

    Hi all, This seems like a straightforward google search answer, but after a while, I still can't be 100% sure of this. I've found Z2Live (http://www.z2live.com/), which is basically a layer above GameKit and they too use only P2P with Bluetooth. So I just want to be sure if I can only have P2P with Bluetooth or if I can have like 4 iPhones all connected to a server (who will also be a client) using Bluetooth. Thanks in advance.

  • Would ViewModels fit in the Model View Presenter pattern?

    Having used ViewModels in MVC, I was wondering if applying the same to the MVP pattern is practical. I only have a few considerations, one being that MVP is already fairly hard to implement (with all the additional coding, not much on the seeming complexity) or that ViewModels already have a slightly similar way of modeling data or entities. Would adding another layer in the form of ViewModels be redundant or is it a logical abstraction that I, as one implementing the MVP pattern, should adhere to?

    I understand this is a subjective question and very likely could be closed, and although there is no right or wrong answer I do believe its a legitimate question. At what point do you no longer consider someone a beginner (ie knowledge of loops, encapsulation, instantiation), an intermediate (design patterns, reflection, delegates, interfaces) or an expert (architecture, multi-threadding). My rational for asking such a question is two-fold, first, when do I stop labeling my questions as beginner and during a job interview how should I categorize myself?
