• Using Sandcastle to build code contracts documentation

  In my last posting about code contracts I showed how code contracts are documented in XML-documents. In this posting I will show you how to get code contracts documented with Sandcastle and Sandcastle Help File Builder. Before we start, let’s download Sandcastle tools we need: Sandcastle Sandcastle Help File Builder Install Sandcastle first and then Sandcastle Help File Builder. Because we are generating only HTML based documentation we upload to server we don’t need any other tools. Of course, we need Cassini or IIS, but I expect it to be already there in your machine. Open your project and turn on XML-documentation for project and contracts. Now let’s run Sandcastle Help File Builder. We have to create new project and add our Visual Studio solution to this project. Now set the HelpFileFormat parameter value to be Website and let builder build the help. You have to wait about two or three minutes until help is ready. Take a look at your documentation that Sandcastle generated – you see not much information there about code contracts and their rules. Enabling code contracts documentation Now let’s include code contracts to documentation. Follow these steps: Open Sandcastle folder and make copy of vs2005 folder. Open CodeContracts folder (c:\program files\microsoft\contracts\) and unzip the archive from sandcastle folder. Copy all unzipped files to Sandcastle folder. Create (yes, create new) and build your Sandcastle Help File Builder documentation project again. Open help. In my case I see something like this now. As you can see then contracts are documented pretty well. We can easily turn on code contracts XML-documentation generation and all our contracts are documented automatically. To get documentation work we had to use Sandcastle help file fixes that are installed with code contracts and if we had previously Sandcastle Help File Builder project we had to create it from start to get new rules accepted. Once the documentation support for contracts works we have to do nothing more to get contracts documented.

  I use Fiddler2 for facebook game items, and it's been a great success. I accessed a website to download some dat files I needed. I think it was eshare, ziddu or megaupload, one of those. Anyway, even before the rar file had downloaded, I got this weird green shield in the bottom right hand corner of my computer. It said a Trojan was trying to access my computer, or something to that extent. It prompted me to click the shield to begin anti-virus scanning. It turns out this rogue program is called Antivirus System Pro and is pretty hard to get rid of. After discovering the rogue program, I tried using Fiddler and got the following error: [Fiddler] Connection to Gateway failed.Exception Text: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:5555 I ended up purchasing SpyDoctor + Antivirus, which I'm told is designed specifically for getting rid of these types of programs. Anyway, I did a quick-scan last night with spydoctor and malware bytes. Malware picked up 2 files, and Spydoctor found 4. Most were insignificant, but it did find a worm called Worm.Alcra.F, which was labeled high-priority. I don’t know if that’s the Anti-Virus Pro or not, but SpyDoctor said it got rid of all of those successfully. I tried to run Fiddler again before leaving home, but was still getting the "gateway failed" error. Im using the newest version of firefox. When I initially set up the Fiddler 2.2.8.6, I couldn’t get it to run at first, so I found this faq on the internet that said I needed to go through ToolsOptionsSettings and set up an HTTP Proxy to 127.0.0.1 and my Port to 8888. Once I set that up and downloaded this fiddler helper as a firefox add-on, it worked fine. When I turn on fiddler, it automatically takes my proxy setting from no proxy (default) to the 127.0.0.1 with Port 8888 set up. It worked fine until my computer detected this virus. Anyway, hopefully I've given you sufficient information to offer me your best advice here. Like I said, Spydoctor says the bad stuff is gone, so maybe the rogue program made some type of change in my fiddler that I could just reset or uncheck or something like that? Or will I need to completely remove fiddler and those dat files and rar files I downloaded? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

• NGINX rewrite rules help. Redirect not working and want to get rid of index.php in urls

  hey! I have 2 questions for nginx users. 1) I'm trying to setup my joomla server onto my new linode running NGINX and after much (like days) of searching and testing, I finally have a config that works with with SEF url plugins...sorta. I was using an apache system on the old server and it used mod_rewrite and life was fine in terms of SEF. Since NGINX doesn't have mod_rewrite, I found something that works BUT it constantly leaves index.php in the urls. ex: http://mysite.com/index.php/forum i want it to be just http://mysite.com/forum but without mod_rewrite it doesn't seem to be possible in joomla that i'm aware of. I know in wordpress it IS possible but I have to use a plugin. I have tried several variations of: rewrite ^/(.*) http://www.example.com/portal/$1 permanent; but it usually ends with firefox telling me there is some crazy loop happening the address bar saying something like mysite.com/portalportalportalportalportal.........on and on. • HELP ME !! I am Not able to update form data to mysql using php and jquery

  i tired and was unable to find the answer i am looking for an answer. my problem is that i am unable to update the values enterd in the form. I have attached all the files i'm using MYSQL database to fetch data. what happens is that i'm able to add and delete records from form using jquery and PHP scripts to MYSQL database, but i am not able to update data which was retrived from database. the file structure is as follows index.php is a file with jquery functions where it displays form for adding new data to MYSQL using save.php file and list of all records are view without refrishing page (calling load-list.php to view all records from index.php works fine, and save.php to save data from form) - Delete is an function called from index.php to delete record from mysql database (function calling delete.php works fine) - Update is an function called from index.php to update data using update-form.php by retriving specific record from mysql tabel, (works fine) Problem lies in updating data from update-form.php to update.php (in which update query is wrriten for mysql) i had tried in many ways at last i had figured out that data is not being transfred from update-form.php to update.php there is a small problem in jquery ajax function where it is not transfering data to update.php page. some thing is missing in calling update.php page it is not entering into that page I am new bee in programming i had collected this script from many forums and made this one.So i was limited in solving this problem i cam to know that this is good platform for me and many where we get a help to create new things.. please guide me with your help to complete my effors !!!!! i will be greatfull to all including ths site which gave me an oppurtunity to present my self..... please find the link below to download all files which is of 35kb (virus free assurance) download mysmallform files in ZIPped format, including mysql query thanks a lot in advance, May GOD bless YOU and THIS SITE

  Hi all, I am trying to rewrite a javascript function since I was told this function its a bit nasty peace of code and it could be nicely written by a very kind user from here. I have been trying to understand what the function does, therefore I could rewrite it properly, but since I dont fully understand how it works its a very difficult task. Therefore I am looking for help and directions (NOT THE SOLUTION AS I WANT TO LEARN MYSELF) to understand and rewrite this function in a nicer way. The function its been made for dealing with special characters, and I know that it loops through the string sent to it, search for special characters, and add what it needs to the string to make it a valid string. I have been trying to use value.replace(/"/gi,"/""), but surely I am doing it wrong as it crashes. Could anybody tell me where to start to recode function? Any help would be appreciated. My comments on the function are in capital letters.   As mentioned in the docs the optparse.OptionParser uses an IndentedHelpFormatter to output the formatted option help, for which which I found some API documentation. I want to display a similarly formatted help text for the required, positional arguments in the usage text. Is there an adapter or a simple usage pattern that can be used for similar positional argument formatting? Clarification Preferably only using the stdlib. Optparse does great except for this one formatting nuance, which I feel like we should be able to fix without importing whole other packages. :-)

  This is very strange guys. I wrote a simple application. When I make my commands executed fast by moving mouse (event is on mouse move), I experience the following errors if I run my application without debugger (if I do, application just hangs and nothing happens): 1- "No context-sensitive help installed" however i haven't used help in my app. 2- Access violation errors from "uxtheme.dll" and "user32.dll" libraries! well, i think these errors happen when Windows Messages are sent quickly one after another. I came across these errors a while ago in a huge application. In both application I used SendMessage command, but what am i doing wrong? I'm now using Delphi 2010 Has anyone ever experienced this?!

  In Ruby, it seems that a lot of coerce() help can be done by def coerce(something) [self, something] end that's is, when 3 + rational is needed, Fixnum 3 doesn't know how to handle adding a Rational, so it asks Rational#coerce for help by calling rational.coerce(3), and this coerce instance method will tell the caller: # I know how to handle rational + something, so I will return you the following: [self, something] # so that now you can invoke + on me, and I will deal with Fixnum to get an answer So what if most operators can use this method, but not when it is (a - b) != (b - a) situation? Can coerce() know which operator it is, and just handle those special cases, while just using the simple [self, something] to handle all the other cases where (a op b) == (b op a) ? (op is the operator).

But along the way, I developed more passion for seeing the system work - actually, I wrote in my eDiary "...I want to see this child of mine grow...". The work did mature indeed, and is now a successful system employed in analysis of academic progress in my client's schools. • Help, I need to debug my BrowserHelperObject (BHO) (in C++) after a internet explorer 8 crash in Rel

  Hi, here is the situation, i'm developping a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in C++ with Visual Studio 2008, and i learned that the memory wasn't managed the same way in Debug mode than in Release mode. So when i run my BHO in debug mode, internet explorer 8 works just fine and i got no erros at all, the browser stays alive forever, but as soon as i compile it in release mode, i got no errors, no message, nothing, but after 5 minutes i can see through the task manager that internet explorer instances are just eating memory and then the browser just stop responding every time. Please, I really need some hint on how to get a feedback on what could be the error. I heard that, often it was happening because of memory mismanagement. I need a software that just grab a memory dump or something when iexplorer crashes to help me find the problem. Any help is appreciated, I'll be looking for responses every single days, thank you.

  Kindly help. Am a beginner in C#. The details of my project work include: Front End: C# Back End: SQL MS Visual Studio 2010 Windows Application Quiz Module Each session contains 20 questions. At the end of the test, the test-engine will evaluate the answers. If the student obtains more than 50% then he can unlock the next module. And his test score is printed using Crystal Reports and saved in teacher's database, against that student's record. Else, if his score is less than 50%, the test-engine will count the no. of attempts to clear the quiz & randomly generate another set of 20 questions from a file (from the teacher's database).   a while back I wanted to install some plugins for Trac but it required python 2.5 I tried installing it (I don't remember how) and the only thing I managed was to have two versions of python (2.4 and 2.5). Trac still uses the old version but the console uses 2.5 (python -V = Python 2.5.2). Anyway, the problem is not python, the problem is yum (which uses python). I am trying to upgrade my PHP version from 5.1.x to 5.2.x. This post suggests that the problem is sqlite and not yum. The version of sqlite I have installed is 3.6.10 but I have no idea which version does python 2.4 uses. ld.so.config contains the following: include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf /usr/local/lib In folder /usr/local/lib I find a symbolic link named libsqlite3.so that points to libsqlite3.so.0.8.6 WHAT IS HAPPENING??????? :S

• Missing Coordinates. Basic Trigonometry Help.

  please refer to my quick diagram attached below. what i'm trying to do is get the coordinates of the yellow dots by using the angle from the red dots' known coordinates. assuming each yellow dot is about 20 pixels away from the x:50/y:250 red dot at a right angle (i think that's what it's called) how do i get their coordinates? i believe this is very basic trigonometry and i should use Math.tan(), but they didn't teach us much math in art school.
